How viable is the Braton Prime?

I just recently got all of the parts I need for the Braton Prime, and since it's my first prime primary weapon, I wanted to know if it's worth investing a potato in.

 

I enjoyed the normal Braton in early game, since it was relatively accurate, and haven't really had an assault rifle that I can do a lot with since I don't have many great mods (I'm currently MR9 about to be MR10). Any advice would be much appreciated!

I think other weapons with better Crit stats will outclass it for the higher level content, but it's a pretty sound and well balanced weapon and can be really useful, especially after the recent weapon pass.

Definitely a good weapon and one I enjoy really much 🙂

Its Crit could be better But I Find the Braton Prime is a good all around weapon.

I've always been a fan of the Braton Series.

jus here to say that the braton prime is better than most people think, specially if you have a riven. Since it as an allround stats it isnt hard to find a riven that will make it good, I am running mine with a crit chance riven, and it outclasses my soma prime and my zenith (and I have and hybrid status/crit chance riven in my zenith) in MANY situations.  I think it is one of best assault rifles in the game, I run sortie content with it with no problem.

braton p is a great weapon for sortie and all starchart mission, but useless if u want to do endurence run ( assault rifle class are useless for that)

It kills stuff and kills it well to a fairly considerable level. 

It's a very good gun for most missions. Better than most give it credit for and easily the best of the Braton series, which is as it should be. 

It's strengths are status application and a relatively high (for an autotrigger gun) base damage. It has just enough crit rating that crit builds are the best way forward, but only just. This is what the minimum crit for a crit/status weapon looks like. 

It doesn't need a riven (most things don't), but a good one can really help, especially if you can replace HC with it or complement two or three other mods at the the cost of HC or Shred (don't recommend replacing Shred on this gun--and if you have Primed Shred it excels here). 

It's still my most used primary and a long standing favorite for just about everything.
