And yes, there is a bunch of small little ticks like this in warframe, but most of them are fixable with mods and generally just improving your skill. If you really dislike it, just wait for when you will be bleeding out with either the primary or the melee equipped (even BOTH AT THE SAME TIME sometimes) in the same "Pistol hold" animation.
