Sortie Modifier & Exalted Weapons

DE, what's the point of the Modifier if I can just use an exalted weapon and bypass the limitation of melee only?

C'mon guys.. Disable the use of the exalted weapon if it doesn't fall into the category of the weapon or disable the mods on them.

The point is that those exalted weapons are a part of the frame and can't be removed.

better than having them be useless when they relying on a melee stat stick during a primary/secondary sortie

Agreed. I often pick Mesa when it's a Shotgun/Sniper/Melee only mission I don't want to bother with, but that should never happen, that's nonsense.

(Exactly the same kind of nonsense than the Operator's invulnerability !)

You have to use the Frame with the Exalted Weapon, which may not be the best frame for the job. You essentially give up your ability to use another Frame if you wish to have the functionality of an Exalted Weapon.

That being said, Exalted Weapons are powers, not weapons, in all technicality. Hence, they do not fall under any rules that would apply to restricted loadouts. You need to feed it with energy constantly. The modifiers are to restrict you from bringing all 3 weapons, not to restrict you from using your powers.

The modifiers are to force you to come up with a solution to bypass/play around them, not to make your life hard on purpose. Exalted Weapons is just one way.this can be achieved.
