However except serious hardware failures (e.g. your HDD is on fire) then your OS should recover corrupted files in some (maybe not full) form. It's not like you cannot read e.g. image with few missing bits.
A single external hard drive isn't 'that expensive' and you can get corrupted files even with a perfectly healthy PC... the software crashes, it randomly doesn't save cleanly and yes that does happen.
But if you want to live dangerously then go for it.

While it's unlikely you'll lose data in an update to Windows 10, I find it more shocking that it seems you're not backing up your user files in the first place.... you could get hardware failure or corrupted files with any OS.

Honestly this might be harder than you think for people to pick up on without an easier way to spot the ram usage increase.
Warframe runs in 64bit mode according to task manager meaning it has access (well it should anyway) to more than 4GB memory from the system.... those of us with more than 8GB of ram won't even notice it's using 4GB of memory in the game unless we actively look at the fps panel, hell some of us have gpu's with more memory than that.
I literally can not remember having an out of memory crash in the entire time I've played the game but then I've always had 16GB+ ram.... is there any relationship between the spec's/hardware that is crashing because there's no point an AMD person testing if everything crashing is intel/nvidia. DX11 versus DX12 is another thing...I don't run DX12 because imo it's worse than dx11 still, same goes for classic versus enhanced.
Basically give us as much info as you can so we can help you etc.

If you look carefully the weaknesses look to have changed as well... clearly something's been 'tweaked' behind the scenes by DE and it's probably broken something

Lets see....
No use of the operator... oh wait that's not happening...
Hopefully it will be 'faster' and more fun than the other operator missions we've had... I hate the operator only quests with a passion
No excessive grind... hmm.... I won't hold my breath on this one
No unnecessary repetitiveness.... not holding out much hope here either.
Honestly I'm not looking forward to the duviri paradox because based on what we've seen so far it going to be very heavy on the parts of the game I don't like...

Actually we're not.... we all know the resource drones are pretty poor, especially for rare items, and it was discovered ages ago that the best way to get lanthorns. We're assuming the OP wants lanthorns so we're telling them a better way to get them...
Hell I don't even bother running mine anymore, they're just not worth the hassle for the tiny reward... at the very least they should be fully automated but they're not.

Just run with smeeta, I got more from running the smeeta than I did from any other method.... which is pretty poor rng/drop rates in all honesty.

While I don't personally have an issue with my pc's I'm not sure 'now' is the best time to be suggesting people buy a new pc (even though I agree that a 10 year old pc should be upgraded by now)..... most countries are going through huge inflation surges (along with component price hikes/shortages) and people just don't have the disposable income they normally do, not to mention if they're already on an older pc they might not have the funds to start with....
But then I suppose from the business side of things, people with low end/older hardware are probably seen as less likely to spend money on the game....

There's an irony in that comment because you could argue with the recent changes operator/focus they're now closer to the way warframes play than ever before....
Void dash/sling is basically bullet jump, operators have a 'gun', abilities are triggered by pressing 1 and 2 now, operators now have shield gating etc.... you could even argue that they've given operators melee (void blast was/is not melee...), albeit an incredibly clunky version of it, in the way that melee quick changes you to warframe and melees....

Yeah been having the same issue, logged in on main site, remember login ticked, come to forum and logged out.....
Press login, goes to main site and I'm still logged in.... come back to forum and logged out.
Only way I can get logged back in is to disable ublock origin (which then gets re-enabled right after) where by it works again for a short while so I'm guessing it's cookie related and most likely the forum had/has a short expiration before needing a 'new cookie'.... although the login cookie looks to be 2035 now.
Currently it's working again but for how long who knows lol

The Personal Touch Place 1 decoration in your Orbiter. Wouldn't be so bad if the decorating tools weren't so janky, suppose this will be a sling something down and delete it after job..
Augmentation Install an Augment Mod on your Warframe. This will be a remove one and put it back on job.... I know this is likely aimed more at newbies (who ironically likely don't have augment mods...) but seems 'use a warframe with an augment mod installed' would have been a better way to do it.
Loyalty Gain 5,000 Standing with any one Syndicate faction. Oh this will be fun for those of us with full syndicates.....

The value a void relic grants in terms of ducats on average for an unrefined relic without forma is 23.3 ducats. 19.4 if it has a forma as a common drop. Of coruse that's not 100% truth since sometimes you refine a relic to have better chances. In the end the real question is, what does DE think the value of game time is. It seems they feel it is about 15-20 ducats. Is that fair? Well they have the numbers. Can't say if it is or if it isn't. The only thing you can do is decide for yourself if it is.
Now you can of course decide to just buy relics with them and crack them. Or be lazy and trade them in. In the end, the value for you doesn't change. You just got an extra option.
When you consider the likely user of the exchange is a longer term player , who probably has most of the things baro drops (issue for another day lol), and considering we can do a capture mission in around 1-2 minutes on average I still don't think 5 is a fair deal and as such I didn't use it, even with my excessive (1000+ if my maths is right) number of spare relics lol.

While prime resurgence was basically pointless for me because I had all the prime items already and there was literally 2 items for aya if you didn't need relics, it did, imo, show that there could be a better system for players getting relics.
I have so many relics sitting in inventory, gained from farming for the ones I don't have, that I'm basically never going to have enough time to work my way through them all. Every time a new prime frame/weapon comes out we end up needing to farm new relics meaning often as not we get even more relics to add to the pile of unused ones.
Having seen the convenience of buying the exact relics you want, after farming a universal but specific currency, I'd like to see a change from farming relics to just farming aya and buying the exact relic(s) you want. Ideally I'd like to see prime items converted into something we can just buy with aya but I doubt that will happen so the idea of making getting the exact relic seems a bit more viable.
Now I'm not suggesting all relics are 1 aya because DE will still want to get people to buy prime packs but we could have a higher price (in aya) for the most recent one or two prime releases and then all older ones could be a lower value. Obviously some maths by DE would need to be done to work out a fair balance for the conversion.
Other than that I didn't agree with noggles being regal aya and felt considering they were 'freebies' in the past they could have been used as an item you could buy with aya, even if limited to just one for aya and any more would be a regal aya purchase.
I also felt value of the aya to ducats conversion needed to be at least 15 ducats to match the minimum value of a reward from cracking a relic, it was just poor value.
If prime resurgence comes back there's going to need to be more items than just relics for aya if it's going in the reward table, hell even if it's just things like forma, exilus adapters, potatoes, kuva bundles etc, the sort of things you get in events/nightwave because as it stands now there's literally no reason, other than for trade, for long term players to get aya.

I agree and I didn't even buy anything from there either....
Prime resurgence seems to be all about the money sadly.... why give away something for free, like in the past, when you can get the player to buy it with regal aya instead.

So it was the constructive criticism that made them change it despite all the postings about not being able to due to 'contracts' etc..... yeah more like the negative PR on a LOT of major social platforms hurt sales.

wastedused that newbies don't have to.... thanks.... I just love how long I have to spend farming and fishing for stuff in open worlds, it's so much fun (yes this is sarcasm), especially when the prices get reduced to help 'newbies' 🙄Yes I'm a little salty, I've literally built voidrig a week or so before the announcement.
And oh joy, ANOTHER currency in the game... it's exactly what the game needed.... I wonder how heavily weighted it will be towards the 'pay' option versus 'free' option. 🤐

Too many in most cases imo.
My usual situation is I usually still need another roll after the one I've done.... all the time, it's very rare I've had a 'perfect' roll so I just end up getting 'close enough' and then say screw it.
Rivens were and still are one of the worst additions to the game imo.... doesn't help that I seem to get a lot of duplicates of the same weapons rather than a more varied selection.

Well what a shock.... another intermission.....
It's been pretty obvious from the second nightwave that DE can't manage to do nightwave AND other updates at the same time so maybe its time to accept that it just doesn't work as well as intended.
Honestly I think the best thing would be for nightwave to be changed to a 'weekly challenge' syndicate with it's own store and rewards (including umbra forma, kuva etc) where we can just buy what we want rather than the tiered rewards we have now, it's not like the rewards were that different between each nightwave.

Having said that I do think DE should maybe take notice of the fact they could be breaking UK laws with the way they're advertising twitch prime in game, I doubt they will though.

Depending on how far someone wanted to push it you could probably argue false/deceptive advertising.... which at least in the UK is illegal.
The messages in game could easily fall under this part of the rule where consumer advertising (and the message in game is an advert) must not
- including false or deceptive messages (the free part)
- leave out important information (the fact you need a monthly paid subscription)
Now I'm far too lazy to report it but still.

Depends on your perspective.... if you don't need/want amazon prime (in all honesty outside of the convenience during 'lockdown' I likely wouldn't have it) but you do want the stuff for warframe then it can be seen as buying a loki skin, syandana and whatever random things they add for (in the UK) £80 for the year. Now obviously it's different if you have amazon prime but don't just assume everyone does.
This also isn't the first time that DE have promoted something that is in twitch as 'free' when in fact it is anything but free because it requires a paid subscription to amazon/twitch... in fact they've promoted twitch rewards as 'free gifts' in EVERY game message they've sent.

Not a fan of exclusives like this (like others), but I have amazon prime so....
I really don't like the necessity to log in 'monthly' to claim it.... really does seem a lot of effort when other games can just give you the 'twitch/amazon prime rewards' automatically without the need to jump through hoops.
Being forced to sign into twitch/warframe website each month isn't all of a sudden going to make me watch twitch more...

Note to self... set graphics back to classic on the 26th.
I haven't seen a reason to swap yet, every time I've tried my pc fans ramp up due to everything working harder but I'm not actually seeing enough difference to warrant the extra 'performance' my pc is using, I'd even go as far as to say that it felt laggy. I'd be fine with everything ramping up if it made a noticeable difference but it didn't....
If you want us to swap you need to do some serious optimisations still... my pc should not be working harder for basically the same visual appearance....
