  1. OP EDIT:

    I added a few suggestions from the comments, and added a new section.

    Keep on posting more ideas that you want added to this post (by of course mentioning you want it added -- I will give you full credit as I did with the others)!

  2. Quite interesting, what I suggest though is that instead of any generic invisibility, make it:

    a) drain energy per second, this is increased when moving and drastically increased while sprinting, going so far as to making you slightly visible while sprinting (enemies will notice you if you get real close).

    b) when you stand still it will reduce the amount of energy drained AND you will gain immunity to procs such as knockdown or stun

    and for the zipline ability, I'd suggest that when you grappled to and area, you will stick to that area for a set duration (you can wall run and etc afterwards) and it counts as sprinting, so this would make it so you have to use it carefully to not be completely detected.

  3. I think that we should be able to bring our normal weapons to Archwing (excluding ones that don't make sense such as Ignis) and Archwing weapons become available in normal gameplay as heavy weapons. That might create the link between gameplay that people seek.

    What a lot of people want and what DE is supposedly working on is being able to move from archwing to normal mode and back again in such a way that it makes sense. One thing that is clear is that we're going to get it update 17 or before, because that's when they said that this feature will be used in the raid that's coming out update 17.

    Also your suggestion would cause a lot of balancing and gameplay issues. creating a link the way you stated, would not work as well as you might think. Archwing weapons are 'designed' to work in space, same as normal weapons are meant to function on the ground. Any weapon with travel time, damage fall off, or limited range would already not be useful. There are exceptions such as Drakgoon and Opticor however. This would already take out these primary weapons:

    Amprex, Attica, Boar, Boar Prime, Boltor, Boltor Prime, Buzzlok, Cernos, Dera, Dread, Flux Rifle, Glaxion, Hek, Ignis, Kohm, Miter, Paris, Mutalist Quanta, Ogris, Panthera, Paracyst, Paris Prime, Penta, Phage, Quanta, Quanta Vandal, Sobek, Strun, Strun Wraith, Supra, Synapse,Tigris, Tonkor, and Torid

    This is also only listing those primaries that wouldn't work well.This basically means that most of the weapons are useless against archwing enemies because you don't want to get too close to them, meaning that you need to fire from a distance.

  4. There are 4 type of Kubrows: Raksa, Sunika, Huras... and sometihng else I cant remember the name. Leveling each will give you 6k XP towards mastery rank. Sex of Kubrow does not matter. And once you level to 30, you effectively claimed that XP and cannot claim it again. This means if I've leveled a Huras to 30 and bred another Huras, I do not get mastery xp for this second Huras

    Another thing is that if you level for example the Raksa kubrow to level 15, and then delete it (for some reason) you will start gaining msatery xp for it once you reach the level you previously sold it by (so in this case 15), this means that you gain in total the same amount as if you hadn't sold it.

  5. I love Archwing :D

    and the new boss is going to make it amazing! >_<

    The biggest problem about Archwing is that it's just there. There is no real incentive to play Archwing and thus when people are forced to use their low leveled gear against some challenges they complain about it being bad.

  6. To start off, the reason this is in General, is because it is talking about a general feedback overview of everything Archwing related, such as: Map, mods and even level gain. It will include some concepts but most of those are concepts reflecting on things that I feel are missing while playing Archwing (aka feedback on the existing).

    If any of the moderators or Admins believes that this topic belongs elsewhere, please feel free to place this post where you believe it belongs.

    Quality of life changes:

    This section is all about how Archwing is not rewarding and needs changes such as more XP or faster missions, etc.

    - Either add another 50% XP gain or double the amount you get. There is no way to level Archwing efficiently and the missions take too long for what the game mode is worth. Archwing itself already has a huge difficuly scaling towards the later levels, so having to farm for levels should be something that isn't a hassle. (Leveling for 2 levels by doing 25 minutes of archwing with a booster is the current system). {gkuoni} - and a lot of other people

    - make all rare resources more common in archwing, expand weapon part loot tables, give massive junks of credits and fusion cores would be good way to go too. {SofeSNBR} - and a lot of other people

    The map:

    This section is all about the map of Archwing and how it could be improved upon.

    General:

    - All missions need to have more drop chance of materials (especially Telerium), drop more credits, give more mods, have a drop chance for weapons and a lot of other additions. - A lot of people suggest this

    Grineer Tilesets:

    - Some Asteroids in the grineer Tileset need to drop quite a lot of one resource that are from the resources that the planet contains when destroyed (some Asteroids are destroyable btw). This will only occur with around 2-5 asteroids per run and the rarer a resource is the less likely it will drop. Doing this will allow for a somewhat efficient alternative to having a nekros farm on solid ground. It will also give Archwing a bit more purpose. {gkuoni}

    Corpus Tilesets:

    - Loot rooms or Loot crates, that the Corpus have left there to pick up and send throughout the galaxy. These are 'hidden' within some areas of the Corpus tilesets, where you can destroy/open the crates/caches and collect the resources/loot it gives. They work similarly to the Asteroids from the grineer tileset suggestion I made before. It doesn't need to only be resources, it could also be whatever works such as parts or blueprints aswell. {gkuoni}

    - A fun addition could be that when you blow out the windows on a corpus ship there is actual suction that can pull you out into space (which of course you can prevent by not standing too close to the windows and moving against it (the console would probably have to be in a place where you cant be sucked out)) and if you get sucked out Ordis admonishes you, pops your Archwing on you and you have the option to fly back in or circumvent a part of the level by flying outside the ship and finding another entry point. {sickness24}

    Mission types:

    This section is all about the improvements old missions could obtain and adding on new missions to improve the gameplay.

    New missions:

    - Escort: Escort friendly ship from point A to point B. Use large open space area for this mission. {SofeSNBR}

    - Destroy: Attack against grineer/corpus ship. Similar to that eyes of blight event, but this time against those grineer ships you see background in grineer interseption and those corpus ships what you see from liset. Naturally these ships are protected by regular mobs and ships itself can fire rockets, lasers etc at you and are supported by other ships too. Find weakpoints of their shields and then find weakpoints of hulls to make a breach. {SofeSNBR}

    - Ground to air/air to ground: Just make quest mission avaible for starchart and make another mission out of it, but reverse it.{SofeSNBR}

    -Orokin void destroy: Fly in the void space, find neural sentry(or part of it) and destroy it. {SofeSNBR}

    - Free Roam. Would require much more work, but the missions are so open and fun to fly around, having objectives feels so limiting. {EchoesOfRain}

    - Fast Paced. This is mainly a personal request, but I want a mission where you're quickly escaping something at high speeds rather than dash, stop and shoot, dash, stop and shoot, etc. For example, being on a corpus ice tileset, and before you can make it to extraction Lotus suddenly orders Ordis to drop the Archwing in and tells you to escape ASAP. Turns out there's a giant monster under the ice and breaking through, and you have to use Archwing to fly away as it chases after you. {EchoesOfRain}

    More sections to be added soon!

    This topic is long from done. It will be updated with new ideas whenever I have the time and I will mention ideas from people who post their ideas in this topic aswell, while giving them full credit for the idea (with {NAME}). So with that, comment away on your thoughts, ideas, views and feedback on Archwing and this topic. Also, if you are posting a suggestion that you want to be added to this post, please mention that by saying in your post something like this: (add this/ improving upon this/ etc).

    Edit:

    Wow, never thought this would make it into community hot topics, thanks everyone ^.^

  7. Here's a tip for doing the event:

    If you don't want the constant grind of waiting and have somewhat fun with a slight challenge, get a 2-4 person group where everyone has 1k credits. Go to Pluto and do any kind of mission you want because any of them work. (Though I wouldn't recommend exterminate because the amount of enemies quadrupels once you defeat the Bursa)

    Make your primary corrosive and secondary and melee are magnetic and/or toxin to kill off the corpus easily. Equip good tanks and CC frames and then the mission will be more fun because you can wait it out while not having the insane wait of the 100ks.

  8. "Operator, I've been thinking. My misplaced memories and damaged communication systems. What if...Ordis did those things?"

    You mean this right? Well the way I see it is that there is someone who caused Ordis to stop telling the Tenno about a certain event or piece of information that Ordis was able to pick up. It could be anyone who did that. It could even be Ordis itself who wiped the Tenno's memory as one can interprit from this: "I am Ordis, Ship Cephalon. I serve the Operator. I make new memories."

    Making new memories and serving the operator, Ordis could have interpreted this as removing the previous memories to save the Operator from a certain event that could cause the Operator to die.

    The same thought comes somewhat also with Ultron, from the Avengers, who thinks that wiping out humanity is the best way to save humanity.

    Another quote that Ordis says that proves that he's controlling the Operator is this: "Maintain the habitat. Maintain the Operator. Mobilize the Tenno."

    Furthermore, it could be considered that the Operator (we) weren't able to completely kill off all the orokin during the great war, and that they reprogrammed/hacked Ordis to alter our memories to make us forget about them.

  9. -snip-

    Can we have an the option to press the skill key again and "disconnect" from the skill and just have it continue traveling in that direction, perhaps even with a speed boost.

    Thank you

    I see what you mean, however what if you spam Antimatter Drop to get as many as possible? What if you use two in quick succession and then boost both for double the profit? Of course you could also just focus on one ball at a time however I've had cases where I preferred using at least two at once and then boosting them up before crashing them into somewhat different areas/groups of enemies.

  10. Here's the thing about English:

    It is the global market, if you want to sell something globally it will most likely be in English.

    The sky has an official language, and that is English. All pilots need to be able to speak in English.

    Globalisation: it causes worlds to come together, however with that the world also needs to understand each other.

    The thing about English is, that it is becoming and already is a really important language to learn. There are a lot of people who will just simply say that their language is better or so however the world rules the way it is and if you want to be able to communicate then English is your best option. If people don't want to learn English then they are going to be negatively impacted.

    So it all comes down to this: learning English is becoming more and more mandatory, making it so people can talk with the world.

    However if someone were to learn a foreign language to communicate with others that isn't English, then it's a sign of respect.

  11. I have quite a few friends who don't have English as their first language and still understand and can somewhat talk in English. Even my mother tongue isn't English and I still agree with this post. English is a language that you need to understand to talk globally, so don't expect to have someone there who will be able to speak your language just so you can play a game that isn't in your language. If I were to want to play a game from China or Japan I'd at least make the effort of somewhat being able to communicate before playing.

    However, I also think that it isn't good to just simply speak English and then get mad at those people who can't speak it well, which does happen.

    The languages I can speak are: German, English and French

  12. They need to make it so having negative duration does not buff the damage output to the crazy extent, while at the same time ruining the other abilities. They need to make it so that the total damage increases the longer the enemy is affected by miasma. Each second the enemy will receive a .2 second stun and have their accuracy and movement speed reduced by an extent (less than nova's ult). The damage is changed from being total damage inflicted over different times, to be damage per second. This will make it so that the ultimate is a lot more controllable and makes Saryn still a room clearer but over a longer duration, while also still being viable late game for good damage output and cc AND also making her other abilities usable because you won't be building for the lowest duration possible.

  13. I think basically is understatement in this case.  :P

    Anywho, this should probably be in the bugs forum, not feedback, as the "he-he, you can't kill me!" is probably a bug rather than intended design.  (I personally had one (in a regular mission) "forget" me by TPing off away and not coming back until I fired to make noise.)

    Unless this is about the invisibility/invulnerability as a rule.

    The problem is that he was reacting and sometimes going out of the invulnerability but then instantly went back in. This might be a bug but my feedback to how this can be fixed is by having it be on a timer.

  14. First off, I couldn't find an 'enemy' specific feedback catagory so I'm going to put it in general, feel free to put it to the appropriate feedback catagory if this is in the wrong catagory.

    The problem with manics is that they are new, and glitchy sometimes. I encountered this problem where a manic during the tactical alert thought it would be funny to play hide and seek with us, and went invisible... forever.

    It also got stuck in this immortal mode, where it would only after a few seconds have a second of damage dealing before he'd return to that mode, causing him to become invincible. I'd recommend that you set both the invisible and if they have such a thing the immortal mode to a timer because the mission was not completable with this.

    You can see the manic's redish glow as he was not moving and trying to be stealthy:

  15. Seems like it might be worth the hassle, because you're forced to then have all three weapons to be able to get the bonus, even if the weapons themselves aren't too good (most of them are still somewhat good if not very good).

    However instead of +5% crit chance it could be +0.5 base crit damage (so instead of 3.0x base multiplier it would be 3.5x as base)

    for the gun and blade, instead of +5% slash, maybe make the slash proc 100% stronger for all weapons when the combo is used. (That way slash actually can deal damage against armored instead of only being good against infested.

  16. -snip-

    Shield Flux, and unique to Mag.

    -snip-

    shield flux would ruin mag because if you build her so that you take away 100% of the enemy's shields and there's a shield flux on, it will actually deal less damage as the secondary damage (the explosion damage that occurs afterwards) because it is based on the amounts of shields taken away.

    Instead there should be an aura passive unique to mag that boosts shields (like physique boosts health) only stronger than physique, so instead of 18% extra shields it would be 80% shield boost (then there'd be the actual aura mod that increases shields by 120%)

  17. The problem currently is that it can just take too long and movement is too slow. I hope that with parcour 2.0 we will actually get a skill based movement system where you can quickly jump from wall to wall and with that quickly traverse the map, as a quicker more skilled way of moving around the game.

  18. I see this as an actual possibility. Not only would this make excalibur's first three abilities more useful but it also makes sense as to why these changes should be. Well thought out and I hope that DE takes notice of this post. If these changes come to be I might actually play as excalibur again.
