  1. Currently, the frame is too focused on one single concept (like limbo and mesa). The thought process behind it is good and if you can rework the abilities in such a way so that they don't all require your first to already have been cast. Please don't misinterpret this as me saying that this concept is bad, I'm just saying that it could use a rework on the abilities. The one ability that would need the rework the most is the ultimate.

Here's another alternative to the ultimate that would make it less overpowered because the instant kill is too much considering it is more of a cc based frame. Make it so that when the ultimate is cast, all black holes in the area start becoming unstable and start expanding into this huge ball that pulls in enemies further away slowly and enemies inside it towards the center quickly, where it will then implode, causing more damage the closer the enemy is to the center. If multiple black holes are in one area it would fuse together into one even more massive black hole (only when 4th ability is cast).

The 3rd ability could instead of being a black hole attached to you, it's that you pull in all enemies around you. (think of it as a 360 degrees pull with less range and not as much damage or maybe more, depending on whether you want your frame to be utility based or damage based).

I would also recommend that you rework the second ability, but keep the first. You could also try and rewrite the text to be a bit less colloquial (with that I mean less like spoken language and more of a business style text, which would help the topic become a lot clearer and easier to read.

    Good luck with the thread!

  2. Dear DE,

I have a few questions that could be answered on the stream:

    1) What are the next weapon sets that you are looking into that need buffing.

    2) With so many of the weapons that are considered end game are available as soon as new players can trade, are you planning on changing that system so that new players have an incentive to go through the other whole list of weapons that are far worse than the top end weapons so easily obtainable? (I'm mainly talking about primes and syndicate weapons)

    3) With Nova prime having gained a statistical buff in comparison to the normal Nova, will you be working on buffing the stats on any of the other primes to make them differ more from the normal variants?

    4) Will the syndicates have more roles to fulfill than just simply warframe and weapon buffs in the main game? With this I mean are the syndicates going to, in the upcoming updates, affect archwing and pvp in any way? Are the syndicates also going to elaborate a lot more into the core gameplay as in give affinity, credit or drop bonuses depending on certain objectives being completed? (these are just a few examples of what could be done with the syndicates)

    5) Which mission type is next in line to have an overhaul?

    6) Will the liset ever have an effect on the core gameplay (as in help you fight or get through tricky parts)?

  3. If friendly fire were to be added, then it should be minimalistic and should not be able to kill allies. It should also be that melee, abilities, aoe and elemental statuses should not affect or damage allies in any way, however melee should allow allies to stack up combo points.

  4. Foreword: Sorry for the long text, this is all that I could come up with and might add more to prove my points. This is coming from someone with MR 17.

The reason I'm all for MR locking, is because I've seen what happens to those who get boltor p or synoid gammacor before they reach mastery 6. What they do is they stop playing. The thing is, mastery locking weapons means that they will then need to level other weapons and frames before being able to use the good stuff. It means that they will have time to experiment and try out different types of weapons, finding the play stile they like.

The way I see it is that those who have the overpowered weapons will just use the mainstream warframes and weapons, because they won't know what to do with the other weapons because there is no incentive to get them, leading them to just simply never trying out other weapons which might be a weapon which they like more than boltor prime.

Currently, I main mag. I am with the Perrin Sequence and New Loka. My most used weapon is the acrid. Why am I saying this? Well, the previous mentionings, like mag, and the syndicates and weapons, are all really good. They are just under the radar of the other stereotypical stuff that people go for. I don't dislike the other syndicates, frames or weapons, heck I even do take boltor prime with me in the void in case of emergencies. But the previous is all going back to a point I made. I like those weapons/syndicates/frames because I could experiment with weaker versions.

I even made an experiment, I added all the low MR players that I knew bought the boltor prime or synoid gammacor. They were usually around mastery rank 5 when I added them. The highest MR player that is still playing and hasn't been offline for more than a week or more, is one I added quite recently.

One thing that DE could do is make the BP of EVERYTHING available in the shops (except cosmetics, clan tech, and boss drops). The parts for primes would still be in the void, but you can get the bp of boltor prime then for example for a set amount of credits in the market. From there, you can mastery lock them and new players will see that the higher mastery weapons will be powerful.

  5. I'd recommend that you change Gold Rounds to be Impact- and Puncture+ instead. The only sniper that is deeply focused into impact is the vulkar, which isn't the best sniper. Not only that but puncture scales off a lot better late game than impact. Snipetron Vandal is focused completely into puncture, and it would also improve the vectis by quite a bit.

If you think I understood the OP incorrectly, I'd love to understand it better.

  6. Thank you for your opinion, however, you're getting a misconception about the powers. Even though I stated Typhus is a glass-cannon, he's a different type of glass-cannon compared to other warframes. You can't just spam abilities to win.

Typhus is not a "press 4 to win" 'frame, you have to synergism his abilities to get his defenses up so that he can survive longer encounters. I've been thumbing around the idea of Typhus having a "Consumed Counter" that keeps track of what he's consumed and having that track his self-buffs and add a multiplier to the damage of his 4th skill, and using the skill resets the counter and his self-buffs. Because of this, players will need to carefully plan their fights, and make sure they know what they can handle, and when they can handle it, to get the most bang for their buck.

I'd like to have mentioned this as soon as possible, but the power is still very much in its development stage right now. And I thank you for asking these tough questions to help me figure out the power for myself. I had a vague idea, and it has grown now, thanks to your constructive feedback and criticism.

Just to make things clear, I never considered Typhus to be a press 4 to win frame. However this is not what I'd like to mention. With the self buff and stacking you were probably referring to his 3rd ability, Cannibalize Armor. What I'd like to know is if that stacking is infinite, or has a maximal amount of points, just like shield transference for mag does (ps. I hate it that mag can't stack anymore infinitely).

Another recommendation that somewhat goes off of logic:

Boiling Blood is where Typhus "erupts and showers the enemies around him with his own armor". This basically states, that Typhus gets rid of his armor which means that he will: 1) take more damage from all sources, and 2) gain movement speed due to only being flesh and blood.

  7. Sorry that I made a popular "mediocre" warframe that eats people's faces and steals there attributes, but I have no power over people liking it. I'm just the guy that does the work. If they like it, they like it.

If you don't like the powers, rather than complaining about it, give me some ideas for powers. I'm willing to listen, I'm not going to bite your head off over it.

Well to start off about the abilities (and please do correct me if I'm wrong), but the way you described them, is that they would all have an animation time and that they are full body animations or at least he can't simply run and spam his abilities like a vauban. However, he seems to be dependent on using his abilities frequently to survive, due to him being a glass cannon, as stated in the op.

So by this logic, the warframe would be somewhat similar to what nova prime is, except with less movement speed and having to stop to cast all abilities.

Here's what I recommend doing (I'm not stating that you should do it at all though): Change some abilities so that they are instant casts or at least you cause some kind of stun to prevent the enemies from killing you while you try and survive for those split seconds of casting the animation.

Please do take under consideration though, that I do think the abilities are interesting and could potentially be fun to use in game, however the way you described the abilities would cause him to start falling off late game, due to the enemies gunning you down within seconds.

  8. I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but I can't see Typhus being any good in game. Sure he looks awesome and his abilities might have an awesome animation with it, but that's about all that there is to him. No stats are given so I can't tell if he even will do anything to the enemies. His abilities seem mediocre at best. One if not the only reason this topic has gotten as big and famous as it currently is, is due to it having cool looking pictures. I'm sorry Red if I'm bashing down on your topic like this but it is just overhyped.

  9. Strom is an energy launcher that deals strong electric damage with two fire modes:

    1) 1st Fire mode (left mouse button) - Lobs out a ball of electricity in quick succession that travels like the stug's projectile, dealing electric damage in a small area.

    200 Electric damage

    3.3 rounds/sec

    5 bullets/shot

    2) 2nd Fire mode (right mouse button) - After a long charge, it sends out a massive beam that obliterates any enemy unlucky enough to stand before it until the trigger is let go of or runs out of ammo.

    300 Electric damage

    20 rounds/sec

    1 bullet/shot

General weapon stats for both fire modes:

    0.0x|0.0% crit

    100 Magazine

    700 Ammo

I am currently working on the concept and it will be added soon. If you would like to create a concept, feel free to do so. Please comment on what you think of this weapon and how it could/should be changed.

  10. 1) With the T4 keys getting removed from the syndicate rewards, can we expect more things to be added as compensation?

    2) How is the integration of archwing and on ship missions coming along?

    3) What is the next thing you are looking at that will be nerfed/buffed? (warframes, weapons, sentinels, etc.)
