  1. At the end of the day this decision doesn't affect me at all. I wasn't going to play Conclave before, I'm not going to play Conclave now. I didn't have the exclusive cosmetics before, I'm not going to get them now. Nothing changes. It would be nice if I could get them through those universal medallions, but the situation feels to me like a perfect example of "it is what it is."

Having said that, I think that DE probably chose the right thing in this occasion. Many of the rewards in this game revolve around the idea of "exclusivity" which seems to be the ultimate goal for some people - well, if you took the time to grind in the Conclave, good for you. I also think that this idea of exclusivity exists mainly in the minds of individual players and ironically it affects exclusively them: let's be honest here, nobody really cares if you are wearing something very few other people have. There is so much space for customization/fashion in this game that pretty much every moderately advanced player can feel unique even with cosmetics and color palettes that are rather common (I sometimes find myself wondering what warframe my teammate plays as, it's tough to tell from appearance alone); if you add the exclusives that clan emblems are, this uniqueness goes even further. So, yeah, why do we care so much about exclusives?

Ok so I found this online

    https://old.reddit.com/r/FrameHero/comments/cxtqtb/through_the_fire_and_flames_multiinstrument/eyneblw/

And somebody used it to play songs on the shawzin using this setup

Is this allowed? Will I get banned for this?

You will never, ever get a straight answer to this question.

The official reply concerning this topic is this:

which of course is not really an answer that can help you.

That being said, my personal take on this is that if you get banned for something like playing an automated Shawzin you could plead your case with support much more convincingly than other stuff. It doesn't make any difference in gameplay after all.

  3. The most popular forum posts (number of likes/equivalent) are those that immediately follow any sort of announcement from DE. So, just "stalk" the usual DE people, have your reply ready and immediately copy-paste it below theirs. Profit!

  4. There is lots of room for improvement, but certainly Leverian is a start. It could end up being a nice resource of information on lore and a pleasant distraction.

My one complaint is that it does feel disjointed right now: click on some console, select a frame, press a button. Somehow it feels that it should be more integrated into the game systems/consoles of the Orbiter (or even have a console of its own)

  5. Starter frame, Ember instead of Mag. Mag makes little sense to me this early on and Ember can be quite powerful in low-level content. Another option would be to put Loki instead of Mag because the selection in this case would be warrior (Excalibur), mage/elementalist (Volt) and Rogue/Thief (Loki) which corresponds to archetypes we often see in various games. I know of course that such a distinction makes very little sense in Warframe, but it'd give new players the base of thinking the various frames as platforms for different playstyles.

  6. This is one of the things I've been wanting for a long time in Warframe: the ability to have multiple pets and sentinels roam around the orbiter at the same time, no matter which one is active for mission purposes. I understand there must be some technical difficulties implementing that, but it would be a nice touch (and it's not like the orbiter is a multi-player environment anyway). Also, if you have all upgrades, it takes a couple of minutes to change from one pet to the next, so a limitation because of that wouldn't make any sense.

Now that Domestik helper drones have been released, it would be nice if they had some additional help cleaning in the form of MOAs, or in the case of Helios in the form of scanning for dirt. In fact all those mechanical companions could help pick the fur that animal companions shed around the ship.😋

Just to be clear, a limit could be set, e.g. 5 companions at most.

  7. I would have so much more Tennogen items purchased if I could do that with plat. The work of some of those people is amazing.

As it stands, the purchases are few and far in-between for me. My last was the butterfly wings for Rhino Titania.

  8. I have expressed my lack of excitement for Railjack before. For me the problems I foresee with this new system are both from a technical and a gameplay standpoint.

Technically, this new game mode will try to integrate several different systems: spaceship control (with different roles), the dojo, archwing, the ability to ask for help from other teams (the "fishing team" we saw on that video) and the typical warframe control in enemy vessels while trying to fight new types of bosses who will "remember" the player from previous encounters. Plenty of stages will be required for an Empyrean session to complete. For me, this collection of systems makes the whole thing especially fragile: host migrations are already a problem (the extent can be argued of course) and in a series of fight stages lots of little technical aspects can go wrong, especially when some of those are not really tested by the playerbase.

From a gameplay standpoint: Empyrean will require actual cooperation and coordination from players. This is not a bad thing in itself, but in a game where none of it is really required to do any type of content this can prove problematic. In all missions so far, even those can be considered as "endgame", any player can assume any role and do pretty much anything (in fact, all game is solo-able); sure, synergies between different frames and styles helps a lot and makes things faster, but it's not necessary. Now imagine a situation where someone has to assume the role of the gunner, someone the navigator, someone has to fly with the archwing etc. ... I'm afraid we are heading for lots of toxicity and griefing. Actual cooperation requires that the mindset of the average Warframe player has to change.

Another example of this is the length of the Empyrean missions which seems to be long enough to be a problem for the people who want small gaming sessions. Again this requires a different mindset from the player. Again, the length in itself is not a bad thing.

Lastly, a personal gripe: my favorite part of Warframe is actually controlling the frames themselves, using skills and weapons. With Empyrean we get yet another system that even though adds variety (like operators or k-drives before) seems far less exciting to me. No matter how much operators have evolved, there is always this "meh" feeling I get when controlling mine.

Having said all that, I am not judging Empyrean yet. It hasn't been released. I will give it the chance it deserves and maybe I'll grow to be a big fan of it in the long run. I am just mentioning the reasons that don't make me excited.

  9. Two things to say:

    1. Warframe youtube "partners" should not be taken as a measure of anything. Their main aim is to make money from videos, likes and subscriptions. Warframe doesn't work for them in that regard? That's fine, they can move on to something else. They not making money off the game cannot be used as a measure of how or why any individual player enjoys the game. They might feel disappointed or angry at Warframe, and that can reflect the opinions of some players, but it doesn't speak for the whole player-base.

    2. I'd like more smaller content like the OP suggested. Three or four "operations" per year would be nice in my humble opinion, things that do not require huge redesigning of game systems or whole new maps. Maybe a new Corpus robot appeared on Pluto and we have to take care of it in a series of missions. Or a Behemoth-sized Grineer is terrorizing Mars and Tenno have to kill it. That sort of thing. Specific-warframe themed missions would also be more than welcome. Little lore stuff with characters e.g. Maroo or Darvo. At the same time I realize that DE has made a conscious decision of making bigger and less frequent content like the Empyrean and New War. I suspect this works better for them and by that I mean financially: big updates are more likely to bring headlines and coverage, unlike the "smaller" type of content. In the meantime, new warframe releases (see Gauss), new primes, vaults and skins cover their need for income in-between large updates.

i diddnt know that, thankyou. is there a way to directly inquire DE about this "problem"??

Try replying to the threads when new Devstreams are announced. Many players ask questions they hope to get answered or addressed during one of those streams. Of course there is no guarantee it will, but putting this forward in one of those topics has a decent chance of being seen by the developers.

Another option is to try the Feedback subforums, by making a detailed topic about what the problem is from your point of view and what possible solutions you think are suitable.

  11. One thing not mentioned in this topic yet is that since Gauss is going to be the "runner" frame you will have to connect a compatible treadmill with your hardware (console or PC) in order to activate the Disruption rotation rewards for his blueprints. If you do not run in the treadmill while doing the grind only regular rewards will drop.

I shudder to think what kind of grind they will devise for Grendel.

  12. Some observations and rhetorical questions:

    * Meatball and physics. I never thought these words could be together.

    * Is using Grendel in his meatball form a possible way to revive Lunaro for the masses?

    * I think I'm going to feel hungry, or at least think of food, every time I'll play with Grendel.

    * Meatball seems like a very weak "ultimate" skill compared to some others, especially those room-cleaning ones.

    * What would the offspring of the meatball and Octavia's resonator would look (and sound) like?

Oh god, do you think de has team dedicated to floofs?

I think DE has people working on cosmetics and visual design of items. Floofs may be one of them. One of the hundreds of them. Designing and implementing a floof might be a side project.
