They are working very hard for you to get the new content as soon as possible, with the minimum ammount of bugs, and FOR FREE.   And you complaining because of Friday or whatever day release? Just pathetic.

I agree.  Please, OP, grow up as soon as possible. Thanks in advance

That's not the point. They can very well release it next week if it's up to them and if it has less bugs. I'd be fine with that, hell that's even better. I'm not asking for a faster release. I'm asking for a release that isn't ALWAYS Friday. I never asked for a faster release, read what I said initially, I asked for a release where they don't work on week-ends to fix bugs. Weekends that most of them won't be at work as we've seen over and over again in the past 5 years with the slower hotfixes after such an update released on a Friday.

That's exactly what they should do. At least two major updates (that I recall) brought in lots of new players and each time there was a game stopping bug (similar bug both times) that hit some of those new players following Vor's Prize. They'd come into region asking how to progress, and usually get trash talk instead of help (for being noobs who couldn't follow a simple tutorial). The bugs weren't fixed until the following week. Those players most likely uninstalled the game and never came back.

^ my problem exactly. I'm sure some devs come at work on those after-update weekends due to Friday releases (otherwise we wouldn't have hotfixes) yet some problems seem to take much longer to fix. Connection/game breaking bugs seem to take much longer as compared to a usual Wednesday release which gets hotfixed immediately after such a bug is discovered.

well for me, i'd rather have em delay it than having a mediocre release full of bugs. So yeah, polish em up first, than havign every content creator in youtube *@##$ about it the next day

Thing is, after every major release on Friday there were bugs that required several hotfixes. They know they can't test ALL the bugs on ALL systems and configurations, that's why they release and let us report bugs. Still doesn't explain the Friday releases, unless maybe they want people to play on weekends (Friday afternoon till Sunday night). Thing is, if you don't live in the US/Canada/Brazil ,then most likely Saturday already started (midnight or in more eastern countries already morning) by the time they start the update process.

Are you just this unaware? Really?

First, today is Thursday, so they still have a whole day before it's a "Friday release".

Second, they can release it whenever they want. So if you (or others) are going to *@##$ about it being a Friday release, they can just release it the next Monday.

I don't understand why it is so difficult for people like you to understand that they want you to get the new content just as much as you want to get it.

If they are holding it back, there is a reason for that and it's not that they want to be mean to you. Grow TF up.

No, but I think they like to release good quality products.

Thing is, almost all major updates were on a Friday. I can understand they want to release quality, but I don't think that's always the case. It either has to be a major coincidence that somehow everything got delayed exactly till Friday or they intentionally want to release on Friday (then spend their weekend hotfixing instead of being free)

No. They've already stated they do not like Friday releases. They're trying to crunch down and get updates out to us sooner.

They did? Well then my bad, didn't see it. Always seems that they want to releases on Friday on purpose.

  5. If anyone watches The Expanse and especially up to the last episode (S03E06) you probably noticed that the protomolecule from the show is very similar to the technocyte virus from warframe, both are bio-mechanical in origin as both can infect flesh and advanced tech as well and they both spread through contact while also creating spores in the air as seen below (that potentially can infect new targets)

Anyone else seeing the strong resemblance as well? Just when I thought that show can't get any better, it did.

    Yay.

So far as I know Steve said that The Sacrifice is due to drop with the particle fx, which is due next week.

    1+1 doesn't equal new quest?

Sacrifice is a long away from being finished, expect it in maybe 2 months time.

  7. Wouldn't want to make it TOO easy to acquire, they already screwed CBT testers by saying "Lato Vandal is exclusive to closed beta testers", and now mods are on a witch hunt to delete every post that complaints about it. Making it just a easy to get weapon from an event would be too big of a middle finger to show, DE knows that even if they're already showing a smaller middle finger to CBT testers as it is.

  8. Yes it is, but it needs more diversity, and more ways of acquiring the same material (because you can be sure there's gonna be a lot of new materials). And let's hope they don't re-use the same mechanics (obviously fishing won't be happening on Venus,right?....right?). In missions NPCs would be nice but I'm not sure they can implement that because of how the game works on instance based dungeons with a couple of players, 1 of which is the host, but I guess they can force a data save on their servers in certain areas without actually leaving the instance where you can "drop off" resources and tally up on affinity, a safe house of sorts where you can also access your arsenal.

If vehicles are in there, then the world better be big enough and we better have more things to do with the vehicles than just driving around, like raiding convoys of them mad-max style as they'd try to run away.

Terrain needs to be more diverse, I'm expecting massive underground networks and caves so vast that the Mines of Moria seem small in comparison (if it makes sense lore-wise anyway). Enemies specific to certain areas of the map rather than general enemies everywhere. We already know Venus will have mountains, hope we see appropriate enemies for that terrain. Hope we also get canyons where the spiders they showed can be found (gotta give them a creepy home).

Let's not forget music, which is by far the most powerful tool for creating a good atmosphere in any game. There needs to be several tracks, exploring non-combat music, combat music, then they need to have variants based on where you currently are (mountain/canyon/underground/etc), and most importantly boss music. I'd reckon your first Eidolon fight would have been way more epic if something like this played along https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yIwPovQKxQ

And most importantly, gameplay. There are currently 4 activities you find yourself doing most often in the Plains, fishing, mining, Eidolon hunting and missions from Konzu. That's not a lot of things to do and they get boring after some time. DE really needs to bring their top game here, from minor things like minigames in the equivalent of what is now on the Plains to Cetus for people to mess around to all sorts of things to do, they need to create randomized events that promote exploration if the map is diverse enough, a good clue-finding kind of game which promotes avoiding detection in some areas that abilities cannot be used with mini-puzzles for those who like exploring. Maybe add a mode in which the Solaris faction of the good guy corpus (forgot their name) are trying to retake land back where the evil corpus set up some transference jammers thus blocking Warframe usage and you'll need to use your operator in a more down-to-earth type of siege combat with like 20 corpus (+tenno) vs 100 corpus where the game shifts into more of a strategical approach rather than mindless genocide. Maybe even silly stuff like archwing/vehicle races with weekly leaderboards for silly cosmetic rewards.

There's so much DE can do to make Venus better than most AAA games as they already have the infrastructure to do it, they just need to commit enough resources and time for it, and they already know this, I can assure you, but let's see if they will commit or will they think adding too many things is too much of a risky investment? Only time will tell.

  9. Imagine this, a cool new Volt helmet is released and you can't wait to use it...but you realize that you already own the Volt Arrester helmet that you will never use now because this cool new helmet suits your style more. You'd like to trade/sell that Arrester helmet and get some platinum or maybe another helmet instead so you search for a person in need of the Arrester helmet, make a trade and now you're both two happy tenno.

This helps the game overall in quite a few ways.

    1. Endgame (which we all know is Fashionframe) is now accessible to everyone!

    2. People will never feel buyer's remorse when purchasing tennogen items as they can then sell them if need be.

    3. Tennogen items still need to be bought with real money first (through steam) in order to be traded, thus DE and the tennogen creators still profit.

A lot of people already want to purchase tennogen with platinum like consoles can already do (75-165 platinum per piece) which will never happen for PC anyway, but this way the gift of fashion will be available for all to indulge in.

i dont mind strangledomes range but it should not be a PBAOE. i agree though that ensnare needs more range. the 1 target at a time mechanic is not helping either.

It still feels a bit off, kind of small for a "dome", it feels really good when you see a huge dome that just pulls enemies and hangs them from above, there's something really satisfying about it, that's why it should be bigger than a Frost bubble at least.

According to you. If the mods removed it, then obviously they felt otherwise. And since they are the mods, they are the ones who get to decide whether someone was fighting or a discussion was being derailed.

Here’s the thing: there’s several threads about the Lato Vandal still going and not being removed. That suggests the problem was with your threads, not the subject matter.

You do realize they're people, not bots, right? People make mistakes, get angry, have their own reasons to act in certain ways. I can question their decision especially since I didn't receive any notification for removal/merging like I usually do. I made mistakes at work as well, that means I can't let customers question me because I know what I'm doing? If you think like that, massive corporation would be giant *************************** (insert swear words of choice) everywhere.

You said you created 3 threads about it.  One can easily assume they were deleted as spam.  Also.  Even if the discussion seemed perfectly fine and healthy to you that doesn't mean the moderators saw it the same way.  I moderate a different site so I understand the process a bit.  You can appeal to them if you wish.  But I would advise against making threads about moderator activity in the future.  it's usually against forum rules.

It was one every day, the last one (around early yesterday) lasted a bit over a day. I wasn't spamming on purpose and waited to just post one every day after the deleted them.

Either it was deleted due to spam or it got merged and he was just not notified.  I've had a few of my topics in the past be merged.  You're usually notified.  If it was merged and they failed to tell him he should be able to go to his post history and find it.  If he can't find it and is telling the truth than my best guess is it was deleted because of spam and OP is just raging openly.  Wouldn't be the first time people make claims on moderation activity that were false.

It's sad to seek explanations for mods behaviour ?

    What is wrong with you...

He says his threads didn't get merged into the megathread. He could be wrong, I can't check that.

Maybe they just got merged and that's why he didn't get notified.

Yep, only 2 new pages popped up in that thread since yesterday, and my post had 6 pages. So I'm fairly sure no merging happened.
