I don't see a point to umbralyze a Warframe that not has the umbra slots, the normal mods counterparts are as effecitve as them except the tau resistance or damage. If you really want umbra rhino, jsut wait for it beeign released. Moding non umbra frames with umbra mods seems justa waste of time honestly.

    i agree with this wholeheartedly

plus you can’t forma a slot for umbra mods so you’re taking up like twice the mod space

Well I've started this because I think that the Umbra mods are insanely powerfull, especially with their set bonus. But they are also quite costly - and situational because you kinda have to use the set bonus to make up for some of the incredibly high cost w/o the ability to use the Umbra polarity.

I have a dozen warframes at my disposal and use even less regularly, so I can't imagine where these mods may provide more usefullnes than their regular counterparts. In the builds mentioned above I wasn't able to achieve the same results w/o the Umbral mods.

  2. The recent unvaulting of Rhino Prime made me want to create builds for him utilizing Umbra mods without sacrificing (pun intended) flexibility too much.

So I've created 2 builds for him which I belive turned out usefull.

Umbral Rhino - Index - Main focus is put on power strength and armor, and to keep the cost of iron skin <50 energy to be able to cast iron skin after an energy pick up.

Umbral Rhino - Support - Build for roar, high power strength and moderate duration, with neutral duration and efficiency and little sacrifices in survivability.

I've also played arround with Frost and these are the results:

Umbral Frost - Globe - Main use is defense/mobile defense missions with focus on globe health with some additional range. Good energy pool and efficiency.

Umbral Frost - Nuker - The star chart clearer, main focus are high power strength and range with neutral efficiency. Poor duration.

Umbral Frost - CC - Is not using any Umbral mods, but shares polarities with the builds above. Tried to balance high range and duration for mass CC.

What do you think of them? Do they fit their purpose? How to improve them? Feel free to share your umbrafied builds for other frames as well!

Totally agree. Just from looking at the stream it felt utterly useless and clunky - just look at Rebb trying to hit that heavy gunners trapped in the air. W/o proper lock on mechanics you'll do "fly-bys" at most, which is not very different from now  as it's hard to land multiple hits while passing by.

  4. This is 100% not neccessary. Just practice in a relay before attemptint to the test. The 1 day cooldown for a screwed up test is no game breaker in any sense. There is only the first mastery levels where this would be even relevant.

What should be implemented in stead is a tutorial that hints towards the possiblity to practice eacht test before assasing it.

Oh man my rep with steel meridian is -44000 lol. I guess I should look for scattered justice via trade?

Depends on your MR really. If >=8 I'd not go for the regular Hek with Arca Plasmor, Corinth and the syndicate version (Vaykor Hek) just arround the corner.

  6. It really depends on your loadout. If you like to use ammo inefficient weapons, Carrier is a great help. If you're running a CO melee build Taxon or Wyrm can support that very well. Helios is able to sustain himself when you mod the deconstructor for status+ healing return, it's not very reliable though and has a poor range.

Because 9m Kogake Prime would not be broken at all.

The range on the claws and Tonfas seemed very unrealistic to me but as Rebecca stated, the go to (meta) is high range melee which makes people regard a lot of weapons useless. This change will definately shake up the current meta. I warmly welcome that change.

This.  I'm very surprised it took until the third page.  The Syndicate relic packs have been the only way I have been able to acquire Axi S3s.  I have one left that is radiant. I'm saving that for the next time I get another Axi S3.  Who knows when that will be.  But, for me anyway, farming Syndicate standing has been my only option for that particular relic.  I have been able to acquire both Rhino Prime & Nyx Prime from the relics though.

Is that really efficient? Standing is limited on a daily basis. Let's assume the average farmer is MR12 and has maxed out 3 Syndicates. So the maximum standing he/she can farm each day is:

    13k from affinity conversion

    ~40k from missions (assuming ~10k for 3 missions/faction + 2x 50% bonus for allied factions)

~36k - 360k from medallions (assuming each mission has 8 medallions)

So you'll get 89k standing spread accross 3 Syndicates in the worst case resulting in a max of 4 relic packs/day. That's just about 12 relics for several HOURS farming. Searching for the medallions can bevery rewarding but is also tedious, time consuming and also not reliable.

Edit: Also these 12 relics are not guaranteed to be the unvaulted ones.

I wish you'd be given the option of 2 or 3 rewards to choose from.

Getting Kuva and Endo, while fairly helpful, over and over and over get's a bit tiring.

Yeah, that'd be awesome. Like at the end of fissure missions, just that 4 random rewards are presented and everybody on your team can chose which to receive.

  10. Imho the best way is to kill many things fast, with a full squad and stay within affinity range. Small tile sets (like Hydron/Sedna or Helene/Saturn) help with that. Leveling frames in that way works best with dps frames. If you're not leveling a dps frame that can kill things with it's abilities, use just a single weapon and support your squad in what ever way possible (healing / restoring energy / buffing /cc'ing).

For leveling weapons I usually also  just bring the weapon to be leveled with a frame that buffs my weapon damage (e.g. mirage, chroma, Rhino)  for faster killing.

Leeching also works (quite well tbh) but I don't like that.

  11. I found power drift, speed drift, cunning drift and agility drift to be the easiest. You are also able to complete them solo. You already did the puzzle for cunning drift during the second dream quest, just w/o receiving the mod as a reward but it counts towards the junction still.

There is a nice guide on YouTube for all the puzzles. For the beginning it already helps a ton to know how the puzzle rooms look like.

  12. I like the Banshee+radar idea, they should the work or at least tr to. I think that new players are struggling with their "limits" and how to pass them (right set up for each faction / "main" gear set with potatoes in).I'm with Warframe for about 10 months or so and one of my biggest issues was to determine my own capabilities. I had to learn the hard way that weapon and frame levels do no really mean much. Having max leveled gear w/o the right setup (mods) doesn't mean you're up to taking down level 30 enemies.

    - normalization of range mods (not base range, but range mods; giving a fixed amount of range instead of a percentage) across all weapon categories

From what I saw in the Devstream this will most likely be achieved by aligning the base range of all weapons w/o changing how the mods work.

Someone has made a very good point here. There's a topic in Economics called Inflation. Basically, the amount of plats available will affect the value of plats.

PC has received a lot of 75/50% discount on plats purchases, which greatly increased the amount of people who bought it. This resulted in amount of plats being inflated, ie: the plats on PC is devalued, which is usually a bad thing in real life. A legit way to counter this is to increase market price, which is what is happening now on PC and why OP can easily earns plat easily there.

On other hand, consoles rarely has plat discount, our plat is being deflated. Every single plat is highly valuable, and to counter this we need to decrease our market price. Since we valued our plats, and most or all of the progression items in Warframe are free, selling these things (Primes, mods) became very hard on console.

It's really not because console players are mostly low income or kids, unless we have statistics and objective evidence to prove it. Player base could be a factor of it, but a very tiny one.

You'e close on the inflation thing, but not quite there. The price increase does litterly nothing as long as the plat is not removed from the system. As it is now, the massive amounts of plat are just moved arround from person a to b to c and so on. If plat inflation is a thing, DE needs better plat sinks to remove some of it either in large chunks (bad imho) or by many smaller, but regular pruchases.

I don't play Excal much but I agree using him is a pain. A nice solution to this would be to make his 4 use R2 as if it was a gun.

I'm used to play like that from the start. I acctually forgot that this is not the default setting, lol.

The only bad thing about this is the somewhat sluggish feeling of the trigger making it more difficult to pull off the right combos at high attack speeds.

  16. It's not a major thing but I run into this regularly because I'm not using the english client so I do not know every mods english name and go by their effects. And I've found some inconsitencies in the elemental damage mods descriptions. Eg. Fever strike saying "+90% extra POISON damage" and Primed Fever Strike saying "+165% TOXIN"

Just verified that one example with the wiki, but I'm pretty sure that it's also the case for some primary and secondary mods.

  17. If you want to farm Axi relics fast, do Marduk. One run takes about 5 minutes and is guaranteed to reward you with 1 random Axi relic. I think I can consider myself very lucky as I've got 3 Axi S3 out of 10 Mot/Mithra runs. Will still continue to run Mot/Mithra to stack up on Neos.
