65 runs later I give up ......   just 3 Freezing Step and ZERO Shocking Step.

At least I got a lot of mining and rare fish resources.

Good luck for all..except for RNG,

It takes 200 runs for 95% certainty of both and that's fine. I don't have blazing step and I will most likely never get it as it is locked behind 3.5 days of continuous ESO a game mode I detest for its useless rewards.

I believe it is okay to lock some items behind insane grind walls, especially skins, which don't have any effect on your gameplay. Ephemera should be handled like legendary cores. You know they exist and when they drop you'll be glad it happened. Farming them is a chore and even me, a completionist with 6k+ hours wouldn't suggest it.

Also, making them tradeable would take away from their awesomeness. I'm not against adding some new ones to traders for 10k ducats, 132k syndi rep, 100 vitus essence, 100 nitain, or something like that, but those should be new ones and not alternative ways to get the ones we have right now.

no one wants to revisit old content. if youve grinded all your focus, got all the stuff from stalker etc, you dont want to go put more time into farming those areas of the game. its good for people who still need to do it, but im pretty sure i remember them saying this is something vets will be interested in. im positive most people do not want to go back and farm stuff with less than 5% drop rates in old content, it just seems lazy. this is why i said if not with plat, just put them in something new. its just a trail of stuff behind you, not prime parts, not arcanes, it has no stat effects or game play to it, its just a cosmetic. the last place it should be put is into old content with stupid low drop rates

it made me play arbitrations and i dont need endo. It made me play eso and i don't need focus. They should stay untradeable and we should get more untradeable skins and such in these missions.

However, I believe putting newer ones behind a token system like the blood one might be better than a 3.5 day continuous ESO session.

  3. just use a frame that does it too and fight for the highest dmg numbers. If you take a valkyr to an ext and another player takes an ember, it's your fault for bringing a bad frame for said mission type, not the fault of the prepared player.

Also, there's always solo or premade groups if you can't handle random players' efficiency.

  4. Yesterday, I did a 120-minute survival arbitration with some randoms to get the new feet cosmetics. Reminded me of the good old void days, I really miss these hard endurance runs.

The best time I personally had was when Solar Rail conflicts were a thing and clans and alliances fought together against ICE, well or for them for that juicy 1mil credits carrot(yeah that was a lot back in the day). Sure the gamemode was an unbalanced mess, where vets and premade groups shat on newbies and randoms, but boy was it fun. The current kangaroo shooter called conclave cant hold anything against good old rail conflicts.

Aaaand I have “My heart will go on” stuck in my head now. What have you done?!

I went through the door that isn't supposed to open yet. My conclusion, the community has to scan those hashes for a week because DE isn't ready to ship the rest of deck 12 (as seen in the picture)

  6. first off, does it have to be one survival? Because if it doesn't it isn't hard over a week, pretty much something me and my clannies do just for fun even when we didn't have incentives to do so. Personally, I believe, me and my friends will enjoy this challenge compared to the boring and easy 3 rounds of ESO, 9 Invasions, and so on from last week.

Now for solo players, yeah, you're #*!%ed, get a friend or clan I guess. (If you need a clan invite, just send me a message) Or just don't do the thing, remember you only have to get 60-65% of the challenges done to complete the wolf of saturn. If it's too grindy vote by not doing it, DE will see that and act upon it.

  7. I vote no. It should be a very rare reward imo, as it enables builds that are beyond insanity. If they'd put it in dev-stream alerts I'd be fine, but putting them behind a paywall doesn't seem to be a good idea. Reason being that it would mean that the best of the best builds are locked behind paying a lot of plat, as you need about 2 umbra forma for every frame, a bit too p2w imo.

And exchanging it for ducats doesn't seem to be a solution. Maybe put it in the arbitrations trader tho.

Well look at it this way, certain players are able to blow through major updates, that take many months to create, check & release, in just a few weeks.

On that basis, small, regular updates would only keep them occupied for a matter of hours or days at best...and there would just be more complaints that the updates aren't big / challenging enough.

As has been said MANY times before, there is just no pleasing some people, no matter what you do...therefore DE's best course of action is to simply continue to develop the game as they see fit. Given the HUGE spread of opinions across the fan base, they will never keep everyone happy, so they should simply stick to their own vision of what the game should be.

Plus a HUGE part of this game is about the stories of the Warframe universe (i.e. quests, open world locations etc.) If the devs were spending a lot of time and effort producing "small" updates, major updates would take even longer to release.

In the end REAL fans understand what DE are trying to achieve and what the Warframe universe is about. They don't fill the forums with whine threads, demanding that DE make it like Destiny, Fortnite, Mass Effect or any number of other games.

REAL fans will also offer CONSTRUCTIVE feedback in the CORRECT section of the forum (with realistic, workable ideas)...not simply complain about content drought in General Discussion.

Unhelpful whine posts like the OP's are the reason complainers get so much grief.

Thank you for the response. I think I kinda get where you're coming from now.

I think our differences in opinions come from the idea that people can rush through continuous content just like they can through big updates. Maybe my vision is clouded on this due to the fact that it's been ages since we had biweekly updates with bits of little content sprinkled in there. But back then, I always felt a reason to log in, master new weapons, overformaing them and then hunt for new forma. Nowadays, I only get this feeling when a new prime comes out.

Now, DE has decided to go for bigger update drops, it's their game, they have the numbers, so they probably know best. Still, they also decided to remove a lot of things me, and many of my friends loved, so I like letting them hear different opinions.

For the wrong forum category of OP, as I mentioned I don't really care much about how petty the criticism is and I really personally don't care where it's posted either. I even personally prefer the wrong section. General gets the most views and if the post gets enough traction a mod will put it in the correct section and DE will see it.

You still get the events and boohoo we have so many weapons that half of them are pretty much mastery fodder, a few are getting recycled and the others are either prime lites with nothing special or junk.

The point I was making here, was to contradict the statement of "it's always been this way". I have not said that mr fodder was better I just said it was different. Also, the last real event we had was plague star. (Next one probably having to do with deck 12, see the pic on last devstream)

    vor 25 Minuten schrieb (PS4)psycofang:

Its not white knightning to say go play something else, its common sense and #*!%ing basic sanity, you will devour that content in DAYS when it took months to create it.

They are currently working on melee 2.9x, they are working on wolf of saturn 6, they are currently working on 2 warframes, they are currently working on Planes of whatevers next, rail jack etc.

You KNOW where all their dev time is going, they SHOWED you where all their efforts currently are,

    5

you just supported my wish for continuous content, which the player base can't burn through in days. Melee 3.0 isn't content, neither is wolf of saturn, those two are reworks of old systems, they are nice but nothing new. From what I've seen they don't add to the game they just solve issues, which is great but not worth teasing us over 6 months for.

You said new weapons are just mastery fodder but mention new frames as content. The idea behind having some weapons every 2-3 weeks is that you can forma them, test them out farm new forma and thus have something to do.

Now on to the new open world map... Yeay I can't wait for an even bigger, emptier Fortuna with more caves, that comes out without the promised boss fights. Rail Jack on the other hands sounds promising, but so did King Pin and alliance conflict rework, point being I'll believe it once I see it in the game.

Continous content is a short sighted statement that doesnt seem to understand the flaws about the game, you cant call for MORE ENGAGING CONTENT (read; content youll break with X warframe in an hour and devour in a week) and have the other half of the community criticise the devs for not going back and fixing old content or criticise them for continously releasing content -not for vets- or -too easy- or demand more rewards.

This is from reading numerous numerous numerous complaint threads over the last 5 years and let me tell you they all contradict each other concerning human labor capabilities.

Why? Remember TREE; Thesis, Reason, Example, Explanation? I see your Thesis and but I don't see a reason, example and explanation. Now, this probably sounded really mean but I really want to understand why big content drops are better than small continuous ones in your opinion, so please explain to me why you think they are.

    vor 25 Minuten schrieb (PS4)psycofang:

No one said dont criticise, but you have to think a little harder about your criticisms and so far the only solid answer ive seen yet is to -play something else for now-

Ive yet to see anyone mention any other -viable and realistic- solution to the "drought" we all seem to be facing.

Keep.in mind the last time they tried to give content to work towards it responded with thousands of posts regarding Hema, so long term grinds are out the window.

Im.going to say it but anyone with any kind of foresight wouldve seem this coming, weekly to bi weekly updates? Events every 1 to 2 months? How could the rewards and weapom uniqueness ever keep up with people who play this game so much that they have almost all of the content?

You ,generalizing, need to keep in mind game development is like tugging an 8 way rope that runs on money and investors, you demand one thing or "find a solution" to one thing you strain the other side.

And guess what happens when X side gets strained? Go look at the forums and any warframe is dying thread.

Arbitrations: add rivens to the vendor (not only aw rivens), add kuva, relicpacks, traces, skins, etc to the reward table

sorties: add a system like teased in wolf of saturn, so we can decide what to get as rewards

Missions: give us easy (current), normal(start at lvl 50) and hard mode(start at lvl 120)[make it so u have to unlock every node in a difficulty before you can advance] with increased loot and exp, add kuva, refined relics, etc to the droptable (problem here being the splitting up of the comunity, which I'd solve by removing 50-60% of the already deluded star map)

Relics: make it so a relic charges up to it's refinement status and is being used once for the whole mission (bringing back endless relic runs)

Raids: bring back lor, nothing broken in there except for 2 doors

just some ideas that would make me want to play the game again. I made them up just now in 5minutes of brain storming, so be gentle.

In my opinion, this game is all about rewards and challenge neither of which the current iteration provides. The reward side due to the lacklustre drop table, which still includes 5k credit boxes in most of the mission types, which should have been replaced in u15 after dark sector became a thing or at least the update with the index in it. And for challenges, just look at the current birthday alerts, stay in a mission for 30 minutes the enemies go from lvl30 to lvl 40. I spent that alert clicking w every now and then to not get afk kicked while my ember killed everything around her and I was able to enjoy watching a movie. I remember a time when we had to fight lvl 999 enemies in an interception, that was fun, bring back more alerts like this.

Get over yourself. Its not like you're the only one who has to wait.

Its how DE have operated pretty much since the beginning. Go play another game if its that much of a problem for you.

In the beginning, we had biweekly weapon drops and events every 2-3 months. I understand that you want to defend a game and its developers whom we all love. But criticising the fact that we are currently experiencing another content drought, with no content drops since November except for an unrewarding boss fight, does not seem to be an issue that needs this much white knighting.

Also, please stop with the play something else stick. If you wanted DE to gain as much money and players as possible you'd argue for continuous content that keeps said players engaged. Instead, we get these sprinkles of huge updates 3 times a year that get players interested for a week or two just for them to go to hibernation after that again. And one reason for this is in my opinion that every opinion critical of DE is getting pushed out by 10 other people defending their favourite toy.

Now again, I love the game as well, but criticism, no matter how petty, leads to discussions, solutions and the game becoming better in the long run. So please, stop with this don't criticise just take a break from the game argument.

I think that would break sorties a little.  Everyone would just go for rivens and legendary cores.

just balance it accordingly - let's say 1 sortie gives 2 tokens. A riven is 5, legendary core is 200-300.

So you'd get a riven every 3rd  sortie or a legendary core every 3-4 months. Just throwing some random numbers in here that correspond to the current dropchance. You could also still keep endo, credits, ducats, void traces, relics and other basic rewards as a completion bonus for each daily sortie.

This change would give us players the control and reduce the RnG involved. Especially if you could choose what kind of Riven you could buy. An often named criticism of the River system is that it is gated behind different levels of RnG a token system would remove one of these levels. Which in result would allow greater availability of Rivens, which could then reduce the market price of them.

  12. Nice, can we have a system like this for Sorties as well?

Steve just mentioned on stream how luck gated systems are outdated for alerts, so why not clean up the sortie rewards as well?
The RnG in there stops me and many of my veteran friends (veteran imo = no life or with the game for ages [1k+ hours]) from even doing them, as daily Anasas, potatoes and boosters aren't rewards but reasons to quit the game for us older players.

  13. Yeah, I agree, let's have another year of quality. /sarcasm off

The problem is the longevity of the content and the rewards you get for doing said content. Imagine scaling rewards from Kuva survival. Imagine, Rivens as rewards from Arbitrations or Eso. Imagine Rivenrolling actually being a system that isn't locked behind 3 layers of RnG.Imagine Orb fights giving Arcanes. Imagine more unbounds to actually give you a reason to fight Eidolons again.

All these things would give us reasons to actually play the game for more than just the daily sortie, if at all.

Tl;dr Imagine scaling and useful rewards at a 2 hour mark of a survival or def like Rivens, Kuva and Arcanes instead of 5000 credits.
