  1. so after seeing just madurai and zenurik I'm pretty sure everyone will now go for zenurik as their main school. At least before we had to choose between invulnerability and unlimited energy, now we are only having the unlimited energy to play around with. I really hope one of the other schools will be insane enough to come close to the current iteration of zenurik but I really doubt it.

  2. I personally would like to see more than 2 skills to actually start criticising the trees again. But yeah the channeling efficiency seems rather useless. There seems to be no passive energy regeneration instead we'll be getting a free restore field, which can be activated by doing stuff with your operator (I always hated the passive regeneration and feel like it's nice that you have to work for energy now). Again, we'll only know if it's good or bad after the update hits and we can play around with it.

I just hope we'll be getting more than just 12% armor from unairu this time. Also, the 30% on Madurai is already pretty damn strong someone else can post a damage calculation can't be bothered, to see more just research a bit on the wiki.

For your last point, just don't tell steve about vex armor chroma (god I miss my traumatic redirection already) or sonar banshee. 27k per bullet is kinda cute compared to that stuff.

    Calm down for a second.
DMG 3.0 as idea, not as the direct removal of mods (I am pretty sure every Primed Point Blank and Primed Pressure point owner will love the idea of loosing them), DMG 3.0 was also suppose to address damage and enemy scaling, which is laughably outdated.

I've got multiple builds without Multishot actually, for various reasons (accuracy is one, multishot killing your stealth counter is another). So I've never taken that as mandatory. Serration and hornet strike however, these really need to go...

And I'm using a lot of different exilus mods. Enemy radar, the jump mods (ice spring etc), the sprint mod in some occasions..

So, no, I don't think we need to get rid of mods completely as I see enough options for build variety.

The problem with damage3.0 is that noone really knows what its supposed to be, DE included (otherwise we would probably have it already). I believe it means to remove all mandatory mods, which includes every multishot and every damage mod. Phoenix thinks it's supposed to address the damage scaling and would keep the mods how they are, which would be rather nice. And OP believes (interpreting here) it's there to free up 1 mod slot on each and every weapon.

As mentioned the scaling of enemies is laughable and should be addressed, but the idea to get rid of serration because it's needed on every weapon is as well. Maybe I think of it that way because I believe that getting your damage mods to rank 10 and thus maxing your damage output is part of your growth as a warframe player. In the end, these mods are the reason there's a difference between a beginner just logging in for the first time and a veteran with 200+ hours. Sure one could argue that said beginner could just buy the maxed mods from trading but hey that's supporting the game, so I won't complain.

God I hope not... The Nox unit is a terrible example of how to "balance" content.  "Oh here's this new unit that literally just has an arbitrarily small hitbox if you actually want to do damage!" like that's lame, especially considering even that is still a bullet sponge, like it's a glass dome, can't be that strong.  Damage 3.0 NEEDS to happen because we NEED to get rid of all these mandatory mods like serration and multishot and stuff.  They need to just look at the currently highest possible damage on a gun (not counting Rivens) and change the base damage at level 30 to that, then turn all the current damage mods into something more utilitarian so we actually have room for diverse builds and not carbon copies with 1-2 personal preference swaps.

The Nox unit is the greatest thing ever. It actually kills you if you don't prioritize it and it's glass thingie. IMO it's a way better enemy than the new stalker, who just dies in 2 shots. Also after the Nox dies it leaves a fart behind that can kill you even after you thought you dealt with it, it's just great.

Now to you and everyone asking for a removal of "mandatory mods". They could also delete the whole mod system and give us plain weapons, that would solve the problem with the needed mods wouldn't it? Now I know that's me being a cheeky C*** but if they'd remove mods like serration & split chamber don't you think we'd just go for something else instead that maxes out our damage or other stats. Just look at Exilus slots man, maybe it's just me but I usually use drift mods in there and nothing else.

  5. While I agree with your points of increasing the enemies' level at the start of "end game" missions I simply can't agree with the idea of open world pvp. We once had alliance conflicts it was the most fun I personally ever had in the game. Yes, it was broken, yeah some frames were beyond overpowered and yes, noobs had no chance but back then it was a great deal of fun.

At least it wasn't anything like the tanky kangaroo shooter we call conclave nowadays. Bulletjump should have been removed from pvp the moment the movement rework hit the game and balancing everything is just not possible and never will be. However, like i mentioned the most fun I personally ever had playing pvp in warframe was in a broken system where you got frequently one-shot if you did not one-shot your enemy first.

  6. Hasn't the wait within taught you guys anything. I for one have learned my lesson. DE says PoE drops mid-September, I translate it to end of October and so should you. Now, this is a great method because if they actually delay it that much you'll be able to say you called it and feel amazing about yourself knowing that. And on the other side of the spectrum, if DE actually brought us PoE before Halloween you'd be surprised and happy to see that you were wrong.

However, the real problem starts when they delay it further. Then we'll have another meltdown on the forums with one side shouting at DE to bring it out already and the other side defending DE telling them to take their time. (or what I call the no-lifers vs. the people that can take a break from Warframe, before you get offended I myself am in the former category)

  7. Really hoping for A here. If you only maxed the overpowered trees you shouldn't be allowed to use that focus on the other ones that might become more useful now. However, if you've spent over 1 million focus into unairu in its current form you deserve it if it's going to be the new broken thing.

We shouldn't alleviate the puzzle tedium because people will use skips regardless?

summoning the esophages wouldn't change much imo. All it does is skip the battery filling process, which isn't hard at all if you have an injector (which should be removed especially with PoE taking away another 3 gear slots) and know what you're doing. However, knowing what you're doing is the real problem. JV is a huge clusterfuck introducing new mechanics that are never explained just let ordis say something like "I wonder what happens if we fill this and shoot that" and use some markers to show what we're supposed to do or give some hints. Especially on the inside of Jordas...

Again summoning the esos wouldn't save as much time so glitchers would still use glitches, while the newer people your fix is directed to would still not understand what they needed to do on the Golem's inside even with skippable batteries.

  9. 24 minutes ago, TaylorsContraction said:

The second problem is how the pherliac pods are totally useless despite being Jordas' favorite thing.

    2

They aren't useless at all, you can use them to ev in nm lor. Joking aside, there will always be people that use "black magic" just because it's faster. Even if the pods would summon esophages, it would still be faster to glitch through some walls than to hassle with filling batteries and such. Now I'm not saying it's okay to glitch but I'm saying people will always go for the easiest and fastest way.

Now we could argue that DE has to fix the glitches, which they are doing. I remember a time when we could skip the decryption and kill Jordas w/o going inside. However, everytime they fix something (e.g. Nezha or Titania) something new emerges (hey there Nova o/).

  10. the thing I'm fearing the most is the lack of gear slots. That's the true nightmare emerging with PoE.

Some frames will always work better than others, so it's no wonder that some abilities will suck more than others in the situation of a wide and open field - look at the bright side at least it seems like snipers might become useable now.

  11. Because shadow step was broken and energy overflow needed a tweak. Also, 90% of the abilities in the trees are trash and that comes from someone who has 4 of the 5 focus trees at a decent level.

Furthermore, we are going to get all of our points refunded, so let's just wait for PoE to hit before we complain about the new focus system shall we.

  12. I'd love if they wouldn't tweak it for solo players. Arguably that would screw newer players, however, I believe it would just make newer players go for public squads. The idea of a hard mode button is great but I personally would never go for it if there wasn't an incentive to actually go for it e.g. more drops from mining, fishing and more reputation for the town.

Also on the topic of mining and fishing, can we please get more spots in out gear wheel, there is already close to no space but with PoE it seems it will only get tighter.

Back to the topic, by making it a harder solo experience without additional hard mode button you would turn away the noobs from the solo experience (except if they like getting their &#! beaten), but this would just mean they'd have to go for public groups, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you are a solo player you should be having a harder time in a team focused game, at least in my opinion, and as a solo player myself I would love the extra challenge.

I think if Ember WoF increased damage over time (Starts off doing moderate damage and progressively increased), that would be a nice.

At least we can all agree that Ember WoF is too strong on early levels and too weak on higher levels.

I would prefer OPs suggestion. My personal build never runs out of energy (arcane energize) thus, your idea would mean Ember's WoF would really become broken and even more people would complain about it.

The idea of armor stripping is great imo. However, wouldn't a percentage number be even better than this weird Dot that might be impossible to do due to reworking the whole fire proc thing?

Like 1 tick of WoF does 20% fire dmg (affected by power strength and reduced by armor of the target also let's not forget the dmg type, fire here, being affected by its strengths and weaknesses vs certain enemies and factions). Flat damage will always be amazing versus low level and will always suck vs higher level enemies. However, a well-balanced percentage damage can work, as we can currently see with Hydroid's puddle. The problem is finding the right balance between the old LimBoom and something (imo) rather useless like Oberon's Smite.

  14. and here i expected you asking for reworking and buffing/nerfing of different schools.

But yeah, i totally agree with you - switching in between schools is a nuisance and the school being bound to a loadout would be an amazing QoL change

  15. some time ago i was ip banned by mistake i brought it up in a ticket and was told to use a vpn program while they solve the problem. So i guess if you contact support first its absolutely fine. Or to put it differently if your ban is a screw up on DE's side you should be fine using vpn, however if it isn't i wouln't recommend it.

Also as the guy above me said your connection gonna be really bad so forget about playing with others and enjoy your solo warframe experience.

Speak for yourself please.  I've already explained my reasons above.

Wow, everyone now seems to think I'm out to Nerf Ember now because I said "I (me, myself) could work with that suggestion".  Personally, I think the whole complaining about Ember is stupid.  I can sympathize with newer players, but only to a certain degree.

I ain't attacking you or anyone here - I'm actually rather surprised how nice the conversation is going compared to the usual stuff that happens here.

I also totally understand players being frustrated about people taking their kills. I use Ember in JV (mainly to buff teammates with 2 and kill stuff on the side) and every time I see an Equinox player getting more damage done than me i get a little bit frustrated. I'm used to dealing most damage with my Ember, she got 9 formas after all (don't judge im using her since update 11 or so)

What I meant to say is that if you take the mobility away from ember, she has nothing. If i wanted an immobile killer machine I'd go for a banshee or saryn, but with Ember i can actually use my "Nuke", which is more of a CC-aura at higher levels and my melee together instead of just playing DJ for the duration of my energy pool.
