Drop rates change. Deal with it. I didn't complain when DE decided to make alloy plates more accessible, since they were pretty much the resource that everyone was farming for back in the day with no frames to boost drop chances. I also didn't complain when DE increased the drop rate for Oxium, so you didn't have to kill hundreds of rarely spawning Oxium ospreys just to get Zephyr built. In fact, I was happy that new players wouldn't be faced with such a grind wall any more.

And guess what? The fact that it took you almost a year of doing the raid every day just proves to me how awful that system was. It was exactly those awful odds that kept me any many other players away from raids. DE wants people to play their content, so they changed things around to accomplish that.

And if you do the eidolons too many times per day and end up burning yourself out, that's a problem with you, not with the eidolons.

    1. I don't care about the drop rates I care about the nerfs that will come with the widespread accessibility of "veteran content".

    2. That's like your opinion. I liked having a goal to strive towards with friends on a daily basis, and that's my opinion on this topic. Also, The reason I and many others enjoyed it was because raids weren't a gear check like everything else in the game but a knowledge check. Furthermore, you were able to play with 8 people and not your usual 4, which broke the common warframe formula apart even further. THEY TERK ER RAIDS but have yet to give us anything to play instead, be it king pin or a simple but, what I believe, very interesting 8player variant on the Eidolons.

    3. True burning yourself out over certain content is your own fault.  That content being the only content worth doing for "veterans", on the other hand, is DE's.

Now, I hope you enjoy your arcanes, because I sure enjoy my avenger set, which I could acquire through this replacement. But I truly believe the removal of gamemodes to push PoE isn't the way to go. I don't like fighting the Eidolons for fighting the Eidolon's sake(fighting Terry was fun, repeating the same thing two more times isn't), I don't like doing bounties for PoE's sake, I don't enjoy these new "challenging" rivens, which only exist to push us to the plaines even further. And I sure can't wait for DE to do all these things again for plaines of venus, because, apparently, it works.

I sure sound like a grumpy old man, don't I? Well, before you tell me to take a break or something silly like that, just know that I love the game, I'm just not okay with the direction it's currently going. But hey maybe in 2019, when we finally get Umbra or king pin, after they released the caves of uranus and the other 5 "open worlds", which you have to have to leave in between missions and go up to lvl 50 I'll get to enjoy some challenging content again.

If you think raids were a healthy or important part of the Warframe experience. you are delusional.  For a tiny percentage of players it was a great plat farm.  For everyone else it was an afterthought.  Not worth spending more developer resources on.   I'm sure if raids cost zero resources to leave lying around, they'd still be there.

you're right I love fishing and mining and hope we get other systems like this like gathering soon. Ohh and lunaroI sure love lunaro.

Being a twat aside. Raids were the only endgame us players with 4k+ hours had left. DE removed old alliance conflicts then endless void and now raids, all while not giving us anything new. (looking at you kin pin)
Now you can say Eidolons are endgame, but as someone who's already maxed quills, focus and has every arcane set twice I don't see a reason in doing them. At least raids were a  fun experience where you could meme around with 7 other people. Eidolons is just boring deal as much dmg as possible in the least amount of time and DE is acting surprised when our 7+ formad gear (every piece of it ofc) eats through those bulletsponges in seconds.

Yeah, raids weren't run by many but who's fault is that? DE decided to put more ressources in PvP and other parts of the game and left raids alone w/o releasing new ones, a better recruiting system, new rewards, and any introduction to them (ffs some of my mr20+ friends didnt even know they existed until DE said they were going to be removed) for 2+ years.

Seems kinda selfish to want others to suffer as much as you...

300 days later and not even enough Arcanes sets to alleviate the pain of having to install/uninstall on the many cosmetics whenever someone changes a frame.

I think you misunderstood, with this, I didn't want to say that you'd need to go hunt 300 or more Hydralists I wanted to put the stress on the daily effort it took some of us to get our arcane sets. The price of Energize dropped from 500 to 150 in just 4 days. I feel like this indicates the need of a daily cap, as the availability will only increase in the weeks to come and will result in a meta which then will result in DE nerfing stuff that wasn't broken because it was "endgame" content that was hard to get before. I've now done like 60 or so Hydralists now and I can say it is boring. Even after 300 JVs I still like running them, probably mainly because I can't burn myself out by overdoing them.

While I think fighting the Hydralist itself is really fun I hate being forced to go through the Terralist and especially the cancer show that is the Gigantulist. At least I can evade the Hydralist's attacks but the lasershow is just eww. And in the most efficient groups it's just too methodic for me to enjoy, the hardest part there is filling the first lure. There are also other things I dislike, for example the strict meta, which results from the 50minutes time cap and of course the 4 man squad that will never be the same as an 8 man squad. Another thing I hate is the inavailability of Eidolons. Say I want to hunt, because it's the only content that's worth doing to me. Well, if it's not night I can't play.

The last thing I want to touch is the matchmaking, first of, thank you DE for introducing these bounty options. Now on to the complaining. You know a system is S#&$ when you get matched with a mr8 Inaros without any aura in a 3 Eidolon bounty. Yeah I know, a bit hypocritical of me to complain about someone going for a non-meta frame when I cried about said meta earlier on. However, I have 50 minutes to capture as many as possible I don't care about being a meta-slave and wearing myself out. Anywho back to the topic. I understand DE wants to make Eidolons accessible to more people as they didn't do this with raids and we can see what happened to them. But at least give us an option to lock in roles we want to play and a pre-plaines loading screen, or even better give us the option to look for frames we want to play with, because I'm sure we'll never get a mr-matchmaking. (and this isn't even me being an elitist C***, it's just liklier that a mr20+ guy has maxed madurai, an amp, an itzal, a critcat and a decent frame with a decent weapon)

Now, yes I can go look for a squad in recruitment chat, but then why even give us this bounty option? Also a little tip to you guys that want to go with public matchmaking. I found that going into the plaines directly and not going for the bounty results in better teammates than choosing the bounty. (Only did both of those options 2 times each now, so take this with a grain of salt, I prefer discord groups with clannies myself)

Then don't make raids sound like their something that's SUPER hard and that people that don't do them is because it's too hard for them. Fact of the matter is these "raids" are easy and not hard at all. Don't make it sound like the raids here are time intensive, when clearly the raids aren't.

I agree with your previous points. Can we also remove conclave, the relays (noone goes there just move simaris, the syndicates and baro to cetus) defection, infested salvage, and all the other modes except for exterminate and capture which are apparently played most by going after the graph in that one Devstream?

I also believe I don't need to know about conclave or any other game mode as I've seen various videos of them and also completed all the related events to them!

Now, does this sound wrong to you? Because this is your reasoning and it's inherently flawed. I understand people that want to make raids better by improving on their flaws and can get behind those. But you just seem to be disappointed that wf's raids tried to do something different, the developer prefer calling them trials for a reason because they are not your everyday mmorpg's dungeon. You say they are easy but your account has no listed runs, try them for yourself in a pub team and tell me how they're easy w/o communication and understanding of the puzzles in there.

Also, the argument that you have nothing to do during puzzles and it is thus boring is invalid since the moment we've gotten the war within, raids were to me at least, the very reason to get the focus trees leveled up. But hey just continue with your stand on button rhetoric apparently it worked on some of the team that might have also never raided undercover before.

As far as your crybaby statement go, I have seen far more "veteran" players crying about the recent changes.  Most of these changes have been for the "veterans."

But if you want to leave out 80-90% of the player base just so you can keep a set of items locked up, then I guess go cry some more.

    1

Removal of the last content veterans could run on end to challenge themselves and which these players enjoyed. Putting the rewards they've gotten from these missions into "challenging and teambased" Eidolon fights (soleod on day 1), while also removing the daily cap of them (can't wait to see certain Arcanes getting nerfed because everyone now has access to them and they become meta).

Yeah, these changes were for the veteran players, the forum vets. The players that think MR matters, the players that think they're vets because they've been here for a certain time but never experienced real teamplay and most likely will not until 2021 when Raids or their lobotomized counterparts (hey there Dark Sectors) return.

Now, on topic, I am okay with DE moving Arcanes to the plaines, I am even okay with their disposition and the acquisition of said Arcanes. What I'm not okay with is removing the only mode where I and more than 3 friends could play together (8player poe when?).
Also, challenge should not mean bigger bulletsponges and more eyecancer, it also should not be, what is in my opinion, a pure gear check, which forces you into a fixed meta. Furthermore, I'd personally like to have a fixed time of night, so I and my friends can do this content daily w/o having to rely on a secretary to figure out the timetable.

Another point I'd like to mention is the annoyance which these 50 minutes of night are. I don't want to be encaged by a fixed time to do the only content I seem worth doing, this only makes me rely on the most efficient frame combination and is everything but fun. It also stops me from experimenting, why would I try out something new when I know the current combination works fine and I only have 50minutes to play the content.
Now, this last idea leads to my last point, the availability of the rewards. As mentioned, I don't mind Arcanes being locked behind Eidolons, however, I believe they should be capped. Now the number is up for DE to decide but I believe getting 3-5 Arcanes max per Eidolon (remember there are more coming) should be more than enough and give not only the market some stability but also keep players from overflooding the whole solar system with items that are supposed to be gear for the endgame of Warframe.

  6. I agree with OP in the sense that before, having Arcanes meant putting effort in. It took me 300 JVs to get my 2 Energize sets, that's 300 consecutive days of playing a raid. Now, while it is limited by the dropchance of 5%, I doubt it will take anyone 300 days to acquire two energize sets.

But I can see the bright side as well, after doing 300 Lors I've gotten 7 Arcane Avengers, earlier today I got my 8th one from the second Hydralist I've beaten.

Now, the problem I see with Arcanes being widely available is not me losing out on plat, I've got enough of that by now. It's also not me losing my status of saying hey look at me I'm running a 45% efficiency Ember and it works. No, it is me looking into the near future and seeing everyone running that 45% efficiency Ember and DE giving us the finger and nerfing Arcanes because they think such things shouldn't be possible. And this just because it's doesn't require any commitment to get to these levels of insanity anymore and every casual player will have access to it.

Now, if DE will not do this, very well I've been wrong to assume so but their latest moves of "balancing" metaframes just for the reason that they're very efficient in certain grindy aspects of the game tell me otherwise. (Especially looking at Ember here but also the lackluster "rework" of Chroma, which just resulted in Rhino being the new damage dealing frame in Eidolon Hunts)

  7. You imagined it would never come back? Shouldn't you know better by now, after they returned every other event item by now. The only things that will never return are founder stuff, primed chamber and raids. Furthermore, you are implying they can put resources into making a permanent arrow skin after their player base asks for it every year anew.

Well, if you want to feel superior to all the other players that will never experience your liset and see that 1 trophy just buy 200+ like me and put them on top of the 200+ pedestal primes, looks cool and makes you feel like a vet. The real endgame is ikeaframe after all.

I've done the raids on my smurf account, not overly much though. I don't enjoy them mostly die to bugs and the repetition.

DE likes them as I said, because the facilitate plat movement and sales, but probably dislike them since only a small percent of players do them.

If you like them, great. I liked Dark Sectors and it's been a while since they went "away for a little while", so I hope for you DE reworks raids a bit faster.

yeah loved dark sector as well, that's why I'm making noise this time around. I don't want another 3-4 year soon(tm).

Noone actually likes raids: everyone likes the small chance of getting a non crap arcane.

The only reason DE never reworked raids earlier is the arcanes drive a lotta plat sales,

Noone actually likes defection, infested salvage, eidolon fights, mining, fishing or bounties: everyone likes the small chance of getting a non crap reward.

I like raids because unlike anything else in this game they need teamplay and people to understand the mechanics and the tiny tricks in them. I can faceroll everything solo and in teams I'm the reason why  "insert nerfed frame or weapon or both here" gets called op. Just because you don't like them or want to understand them (maybe you changed your name but i don't find any raids done under your account) doesn't mean other people do as well.

You also realize that Ember will become a lot worse for Jordas Trial, right?

we just gonna switch to equinox or saryn for jv. Kinda sad about losing the flash accelerant boost on exiting the nerfs but hey i rarely ever saw anyone else than me running with that augment so doesn't matter much.

The real problem is figuring out which frames to run with once DE nerfs those.

Then don't use overextended. 😧 They make the range go down intentionally to encourage using in bursts, they said so.

I'll tell you a little secret, if you're using her for her 4th then you're playing her wrong to begin with. I've been building around her Accelerant for a few months thanks to input from the forums. Her current 4th is a joke.

I'm using Energy Conversion for maximum Ability strength out of modslots, this means that using it combined with flash accelerant and world on fire to get the max damage is dependant on 2 energy orbs. By not using Overextended and instead recasting it every 10 seconds I would not be able to keep this buff up. This might, however, be an idea to play around with once the nerfs hit.

Here my current build, so u can see that u don't have to focus purely on accelerant (I suggest at least 1 energize set, better 2 to keep it up though):

Call it what you will, but maybe now her other skills will get some use, now that WoF is going to have its EZ-mode status revoked. Admit it, WoF currently overshadows everything else in her kit due to high ease of use and high reward.

I think most of us have had quite enough of that "fun".

I'm sorry I'm ruining your fun with choosing the fastest and easiest way to run missions. All this change does, if it's as huge of a nerf as I believe it to be, is make me use Equinox or spin-to-win Volt instead. Her other skills won't be touched as they are bad and not worth using. Why would anyone ever use a fireball to kill something if 1/8 of a bullet does that faster and w/o using energy? But I give u that, now that fire quake got nerfed maybe people will use that stationary circle thing to cc instead.

     Haha no.

She needs to be reworked.  Don't throw around the word nerf as if it makes it any more valid a point. She is getting stronger with this rework, as any true fan of hers will appreciate.

to counteract her range nerf one has to use overextended, this in return lowers the buff of flash accelerant, I highly doubt this results in higher damage than before, but have to get my hands on it before I can say for sure.

Also, this is anything but a rework. It is just a blatant nerf to her 4 her useless abilities weren't touched whatsoever.

WoF Ember is only efficient if you're playing on Earth, Mercury, Mars, or Venus.  Phobos and beyond you're not going to kill a damn thing "efficiently" with WoF.

I used my ember mainly to cc enemies and get a +60% dmg boost through the fire procs and my condition overload. Example: today's sortie 3 with 4 decent players. 91% damage done with my ember and zaw, If I went full meta slave I could have done more but I dislike Atterax/Scoliac.

Also using 320% strength build, which actually deals some dmg to the normal enemies with flash accelerant. Build as follows works, perfectly with 2 energize sets.

First off, it is a free-to-play game, so RNG is kinda something we must live with, since it keeps us in. What RNG I want to- and should be- gone even here in an F2P is the per-stat RNG on rivens, go figure in the riven calc that you can roll a stat terribly or perfectly, each one. 250% damage vs 350% damage is quite significant. Even locking the stats won't help.

Secondly, what would you do if you are already done with everything in 20 minutes? Nothing, uninstall time, we don't want that.

That's what I felt towards old void and 120min survival for 1 rare prime part - they changed that as well. Now, I understand that RNG is necessary and I'm completely okay with it if it's done in a good way. Riven's and their rerolling system are not. Just look at Terra another free game to see how this system can be done right.

Your second point is great. There are so many systems in the game that aren't dependant on RnG just look at focus, syndicates, modding and leveling. But there are others that depend on it such as the relic system. Are you done with the whole new prime access in 20 minutes after launch? No, you take maybe half a week to a week if you prepped syndirep and void traces. Locking 1-2 stats on rivens wouldn't change people rolling for better ones, it would just make it easier, faster and way more kuva efficient. I'm sorry but I dislike using 3 hours of booster time to farm kuva just to not change my rivenmod after all.

And for sorties and token system, well as we've read in here there are people that gave up on it. And you know what I would too. I've got 500k Endo, 200 Mil creds  50+ of each potato kind and nowadays I wonder why I'm even doing sorties. I mean 1/4 is a riven that's nice, however, what this means is that 3/4 times I can't use the reward, which is not so fun.

To come back to your you're done after 20 minutes point. Well sorties are the only thing for which I'm logging in right now, they usually take around 10 minutes so with my RnGfixes at least I would get another 10 minutes of playtime out of the game.
