  1. Tenno! 2024 is here, and with it comes our first Devstream of the year! Join us on January 26 at 2 p.m ET for Devstream #176! We are ready to turn to the next chapter of ‘Whispers in the Walls’ and talk about the next update that goes even deeper into Albrecht Entrati's Laboratories, including a Warframe hidden within. Don’t miss it. Earn yourself an Umbra Forma Blueprint Twitch Drop by tuning in! See you at twitch.tv/warframe on January 26 at 2 p.m ET.
  2. Sorry about that - it's a new issue due to some configs but we will have it sorted out soon!
  3. Hey Tenno, Baro Ki' Teer once again toppled our connectivity infrastructure. This is 2 visits in a row where we have had issues, which we are taking very seriously. We are investigating again what is causing this so we can avoid such disruptions. Sit tight! UPDATE: We are back, but monitoring.
  4. Tenno - our ambitions of delivering Cross Platform Save in 2023 have been a partial success. We are hitting pause. Over 100,000 Tenno have used the feature in the short time that it was open (WOW), but it will not be open over the holidays for stability and technical reasons. More details on that: Stability: When we opened the gates on Dec 22, it brought down our operations for just under an hour. We have since fixed this at-scale for now, but we cannot risk it happening again without full-time supervision. Technical Reasons: On a per-hour basis, we are finding at least 1 major issue being reported that will prevent someone from playing over the holidays. We do not want this to trend in any direction other than down, so we have closed the gates. We return in January to re-open and re-allow the feature to be even more user-friendly and stable. Apologies that we could not keep it open, but it will be back! See you in 2024!
  5. Tenno! What a year it has been for us - Warframe celebrated its 10 Year Anniversary, which is a milestone I never could have imagined when we first launched. We now say goodbye to 2023, and before we go, it’s time to share some thoughts on the past 12 months. The calendar is harshly reminding us how fast time goes by, and it demands retrospective thoughts so we don’t lose sight or perspective. We go into our 11th year next year - we need to bring some learnings with us! But first, a question: do you have a favourite Warframe from 2023? Citrine? Kullervo? Dagath? Qorvex? Each of these new Warframes came with an Update of varying complexities and size - we’ve added so much this year and learned even more. Highlights and Lessons were common company with each Update and Hotfix - here are some that stand out to me: Highlights: Tennocon 2023 in-person! Energizing to have the community rally online and in-person for our reveal of ‘Whispers in the Walls’ and ‘Warframe:1999’. Wow. Risks! We tried a lot of new things this year, risky choices in both story and content types. The Duviri Paradox was a risky blend of gameplay choices. Whispers in the Walls flirts with an unexpected future for Warframe - we have a mission to deliver this! The Team Working with the Digital Extremes team will be the highlight of my career no matter what happens. The people here care so much and motivate me every day. Lessons: Risks! Risks also have a Lesson attached. We take risks, and sometimes these risks can impact the stability of a release. The Duviri Paradox ultimately suffered from some launch issues. We do not want to always ‘play it safe’, but we will try to balance our ambitions with expected stability. Monetization! Our first round of Heirloom packs resulted in heat. We will change the formula and apply lessons for 2024 when it comes to future Heirlooms. More on that next year. Conclusions: Our philosophy continues to boil down to something simple; to ‘make the game we want to play’. In Duviri, mixing story with ‘rogue-lite’ elements was the flavour we wanted to try. We will continue fixing and polishing this content. In Dagath, ‘Quality of Life’ was the mandate, with Naberus flavours in the package. And of course, with Whispers in the Walls, the mission was clear: begin the future of Warframe’s major story. Enjoy Whispers in the Walls & Operation: Gargoyle’s Cry over the Holidays. Forever grateful, Tenno. - [DE]Rebecca P.S Gauss Prime will be the first major Update you see in January, see you then!
  6. Hi Tenno! We mentioned on Devstream #174 that we are considering doing something for newer players that want to play the latest Quest in our next Update on Day 1: A Story-Skip Pack. You can see the conversation in all its rawness in the link! We are at a point with this idea that we wanted to bring it up on the Devstream to get a conversation started about what this pack could be / shouldn’t be, which brings us to this thread. Where we are right now: - Whispers in the Walls has a prerequisite of The New War to access it for narrative & story reasons. - While we remove grind and barriers with every Update to make the story more streamlined (and will continue this), players interested in accessing this new content day 1 must first complete 10 years of Warframe before they can dive in. This is a barrier to many people that we’re trying to provide options around. Our goals: - Allow players to use Platinum to buy a pack that unlocks & completes the replayable Quests required to access Whispers in the Walls -- either purchasing it themselves or receiving it as a gift from a friend so they can play together. - Require Vor’s Prize to be complete so there’s a baseline of game understanding. - Provide value in this pack by giving gear that would be earned in the course of play so they are ‘ready’ for content at a given level range (i.e Include Endo & Mods in the pack). - Continue to improve the gameplay path to The New War, as seen in changes with Abyss of Dagath and in future updates (unrelated to Story Skip but important to the conversation overall). Why are we even exploring this? - Warframe has a decade of content to explore - this is a strength AND a weakness. - We treat this as a strength because we are prioritizing story content & quests that comes ‘after’ The New War. -This is a weakness because it can be a time investment that turns people away. A core ‘you can use Platinum to save time’ element is preserved in this approach. There are many opinions on this idea, and we want to be transparent with our community before we consider shipping any iteration of this system. Please use this thread for constructive feedback, so we can read and understand your concerns. Thank you!
  7. Our first batch of live data is here! Read on, Riven masters! You may recall: Today I want to update you all on this part: 'When the data is set up we will post links and explain the update cadence / data, then toolmakers can either start or continue to provide Riven trade analysis for players.' Right to the goods: DATA LINKS: PC: Updated weekly based on the prior week's trades: https://www-static.warframe.com/repos/weeklyRivensPC.json PS4: Updated weekly based on the prior week's trades: https://www-static.warframe.com/repos/weeklyRivensPS4.json XB1: Updated weekly based on the prior week's trades: https://www-static.warframe.com/repos/weeklyRivensXB1.json SWITCH: Updated weekly based on the prior week's trades: https://www-static.warframe.com/repos/weeklyRivensSWI.json SIMPLE EXPLANATION: There are 8 fields to start things off in Phase 1: itemType: What type of Riven is it? compatibility: Which Weapon is the Riven for? rerolled: Has it been rolled or unrolled (true/false)? avg: Average value of trades with this Riven Type. stddev: The average variation in the prices that the Riven trades for. min: Lowest amount of Platinum per trade of this Riven Type. max: Highest amount of Platinum per trade of this Riven Type. pop: Popularity of this Riven Type being traded within all traded Rivens. Popularity of this Riven Type being traded in relation to the most popular Riven Type in the list. Effective May 12 Data. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: This is actual trade data, not trade-chat data, released with the purposes to help toolbuilders and players learn more about market value of their Riven Mods. It is planned to auto-repopulate at 00:00 UTC Monday (the first week might require manual push as we get set up here). Of course, value is always open to interpretation. We are experimenting with this whole idea in Phase 1 - we don't really know what to expect, as is often the case. While it doesn't matter what we expect, what matters is why we are doing this: to remove any foul play in the Market. After a couple of weeks of feedback and results, we plan on bringing a bit more data, so please be constructive in replies. All of this data is made up of Riven + Platinum trades. We do not include '1 Platinum' trades in our averages, etc, because we consider these to be between friends and not reflective of Market reality (although, friends, why not choose Ammo Drum)? Riven Trading is indeed an optional part of the Warframe experience, we hope that those who participate in it find this helpful! Thank you to all who helped push this idea along, you know who you are <3!
  8. Hello Tenno! Here you will find a new Warframe resource: https://www.warframe.com/droptables First you'll want to make note of the Disclaimer: This list represents data and drops from the PC version of the Free-to-play game Warframe. That's right - Warframe is free! Which means our drop system is designed to maintain a balance. Our free players can earn the game's content, and our paying players who support us with purchases usually get first dibs on the content by using Platinum (which can be traded to free players)! As far as we can tell... we are the first developers to post something quite like this - correct us if we're wrong! Let's hope it works out for us and we may start a trend. This is automatically generated from our internal data but this data comes with no guarantees -- do not expect it to be comprehensive for how complex the game is. This list will be maintained by an automated process combined with manual publishing with Updates (not all Hotfixes). We update often and new game systems may or may not be covered here. This list can be discussed here in this thread. Know a free-to-play game that provides official drop rates in a different way? We'd love to know. Thank you for playing Warframe. Updated as of August 2, 2023.
  9. If you are a map-hole inspector, we have new technology that will aid the Dev's in patching up holes! At this time the technology is PC only using the native screenshot function (F6). Steam overlay capture will not work. So, how can you get involved? 1) When you encounter Map-Holes/Level bugs, press "F6". 2) The screenshot (saved by default in Pictures\Warframe) now has stored meta-data to point our team to the exact tile involved in the bug. 3) Upload the screenshot via attachment to Support (https://digitalextremes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us) and submit your ticket. 4) Post your ticket number in this thread for reference. 5) That's it! We have the raw screenshot with the meta-data, and the record of the report in this thread. This is the first iteration of this reporting process that we hope to fine-tune based on frequency of reports and your thoughts. Thanks, Tenno! FAQ: Can I use online image hosting services? No, raw screenshots captured through F6 only. Can I send videos? Not for this method, we are only asking for screenshots with metadata. I have a screenshot from May 2013! Can I upload it? No, this is new technology, only screenshots taken after January 31st, 2015 can be sent. What support category should I use? 'Level or Map Bug Screenshot Metadata' is the category for you!
