  1. My bet is that we are not the operator.

We are the power that is oozing out of them.  We are the power that cannot be contained.  We are transference.

We are the force from starwars.

We were summoned from the Void, and attached ourselves to the Tenno.

The Tenno's powers allow us to enter the Warframe and take on a personality of our own.

  2.

    1.  Do not make the Tier/Level of the ability equipped effect cooldown

The main reason for this is that you cannot reduce the Level/Tier of an ability so if you accidentally leveled something up too high, you will suffer on the cooldown.

    2.  Do not reset the cooldown after using a revive.

2.) I think it's good that you reset the cooldown on revive. This way you have something to 'live for'. You are 'rewarded' with the Focus ability if you survive long enough. I think this cooldown thing might be tied with the lore with the "Transference"-thing, as where you get 'better wireless connection' between your frame and tenno. So when you die and use a revive your connection between the entities is severed and thus you need to 'reconnect'.

I hope you understand what I'm trying to say with my poor language skills.

    3.  Make it be cancel-able.

Occasionally I am stuck in the Focus state and I would like to be able to cancel it early to assist my team in a specific way.

3.) You actually can Cancel your Focus ability[5] by pressing your focus skill [5] again.

    4.  Different focus states for different schools.

As of now, all focus schools have the same state-mechanic.  Your warframe becomes inactive, you gain control of your tenno specter for a period of time, and your warframe re-animates.

Some states (such as Madurai) should not deactivate your warframe but have a different mechanic.  The debuff of disabling your warframe makes the focus state not worth using.

    5.  Focus-state flight

You already have the mechanic from Wukong, and the focus state animation is already flying, just mix them together.  There is no reason to have a focus-state tenno fall into a pit.

    6.  Sentinal/Kubrow Activity

Please have your sentinal/kubrow remain with the downed warframe and not follow the tenno.

    7.  Loadout Options

This will become more relevant in the future, but we need preset school and tree configurations to be able to apply to different loadouts, this is a quality of life improvement.

    8.  Cross-School Skills

Just a suggestion so that players are rewarded for leveling up multiple schools.

    9.  Party Synergy

Just a suggestion so that players feel rewarded for taking different schools into a mission (school diversity).

Some benefit for all using your focus schools at the same time within range of each other (perhaps applying the passive buffs to everyone).

    10.  Diminishing Cooldown penalty

Players that invest a lot of time in a school are penalized very harshly on their cooldowns.  We need to invoke a cap to cooldown time or reduce the penalty or penalty for additional abilities after the first.

Or invoke some other mechanic to limit the number of additional skills.

    11.  Additional Skills

Let us use the left mouse-button, the right mouse button, the melee button to preform different skills while in the focus-state.

As an example the Chimera breath applies while holding the right mouse-button.

  3. I don't see what the big deal is.  Get over yourselves.

There is still so much lore to be explored.  People that don't like change, hold back progress.

All of the biggest complaints for warframe used to be a lack of story, and now they are "where did my mindless game go?"

Would you rather they just release another 30 weapons and 10 frames that you have to level up?

Or re-hash old weapons and frames as primes, and make you do the same missions you've done 1000 times to get access to the new RNG tables?
D.E. could have easily done that and continued milking the playerbase on non-content.

But they actually chose to do something, to give the player an experience, to make a story come to life.

And they intend to continue these kinds of quests.

Don't worry, you will be able to customize the operator more accurately in the future so that it will look like you.  I always got the impression that "insert yourself here" is what is in that chair, and the child is just a placeholder.

Nobody is telling you to like it, we are just telling you that it's not that big a deal, and to get over it.

  4. Or in the warframe (they're roughly similar in terms of subjective feel, given the "grain" level of the simulation).

And so does the Tenno in the "chair" (VR pod in the Orbiter compartment).

    JUST LIKE S/HE ALWAYS FELT.

Only now s/he now knows that what s/he feels doesn't represent reality.  In reality, s/he is only in remote control of the warframe.

But s/he still feels, subjectively, like they're the warframe, or in the warframe.  Just like you the player.

It's perfectly fine to still feel like you're the warframe, or in the warframe.  That's how it's always felt, and that's how it STILL FEELS, both to the fictional Tenno and to you the player playing the fictional Tenno, even after the revelations.

The whole point of the creation of warframes was to enable "consciousness transference" (which, coincidentally, is at least part of the point of the game called "Warframe" too :) ).

That the consciousness transference is an illusion doesn't stop it seeming real, even after it's discovered that it's an illusion.  After all, if it didn't seem real, it wouldn't be an illusion.

My point exactly, and given enough time, the Tenno forgets that he exists in the first place.

  5. Is it?

If someone asked you to do do a Rubik's cube and it took you 1 whole minute, then they asked you to do it 100% faster, it means it would take you half the time, it does not mean it would take you zero seconds.

I think you are confusing Fast Hands it with it not being "-30% Reload Time", which are different things, as it clearly states "+30% Reload Speed".

That's it exactly, +50% speed means instead of reloading at 100% speed you are doing it 150%.

    Reload time = 1/reload rate

New reload time = 1/(1.5*reload rate)

    And not

New reload time = (reload time)*0.5

  6. I still feel like i am the Warframe.

Personally i see the operator more like a guide to help me orientate me in the materium. Akin to the style of Wraithguards and Spiritseers from  WH40k Eldar.

Without a guide like the operators, all my frame would see is a blurred vision as it is not really connected to the materium.

Another prime example would be Neongenesis Evangelion. The Eva's are alive too, but still have an operator.

I am happy with the update

You missed the point, of course you feel like you are the warframe, you are the operator (in real life).  You didn't even know you existed until you woke up.  Our bodies are the warframe, we are the operator of our own frames.

We lose ourselves in the shell of a warframe and think that this is who we are.

It reminds me of a "through the wormhole" episode where they hooked up rat brains on a chip to a flight simulator and the rat brains were able to "be" an airplane.

This actually happens and it shows us how we can be immersed in a second dream.

When I drive a car, I see myself as the car, and when we play warframe, we see ourselves as the warframe.  We forget we have fingers on WASD, and a hand on the mouse (or a joystick).

You see yourself as the warframe, just as the operator did until he woke up.

How can you not appreciate this?

You know how many people returned to warframe because of this?  I don't feel bad losing a few idiots and getting back the quality players of old.  Good job D.E. keep it up.

  7. Remember the scene in the quest where we and the stalker performs same hand gestures and realises that we are same. He may think he is a warframe/tenno just like all others even he is controlled by a tenno, a tenno that is corrupted&out of control. So that's why he hesitated.

What do you think about my theory?

D.E. gave such a plot twist that they had the stalker confused.  That's why he hesitated.  He was like WTF D.E.?  Did they just go there?

  8. I'll tell you your problem with this narrative.

You play warframe to fulfill a power fantasy.  It makes you feel like a badass ninja when fully immersed.  Your problem is that D.E. just reminded you that you are actually a 40 year old nobody playing a videogame in your parents basement.  You want to play a game to escape yourself, not to be reminded of who you really are.

But this is exactly what is so genius about this plot-line.  You are you.  Just some kid, in the ultimate video game console and unaware of who you actually are.  Wake up, and remember who you are.

As I said before, you want that blue pill so you can stay happy in the Matrix, because your reality is too sad and pitiful to be reminded of.

Warframe is no longer the light dream that it used to be, S#it just got serious and you need time to deal with it.

  9. I could not disagree more.

D.E. blew us all out of the water with this story line.  Nobody suspected this, and looking back all the hints and clues were there all along.

This is not a "new" invention, it is a revealing.

Seeing that final sequence blew me away, and a week later I'm still shocked.  Easily one of the most memorable times in my life including weddings, and childbirths.

Nothing D.E. does in the future will ever compare to this.  They will continue the story and continue revealing the history of the system, and we will get a few more surprises, but nothing this drastic.

It truly feels like the entire game has been leading up to this big reveal.  It is on the level of "Luke, I am your father".

That customize Tenno screen was the moment when all the pieces fell into place.  It felt like the beginning of a brand new game.  I can't wait to see what comes out of the pipeline next.  This is a great direction for the game.  Until now it was purposeless farming.

You may be wishing that you took the blue pill like Cypher, but I'm with Neo, the red pill is the way to go.

  10. Well, my vauban has so many formas, that even if i have the wrong symbols slotted (so red number, increased amount of points), i still have something around 20 free points left. and sometimes i have maxed efficiency, duration and range modded. so slightly overkill^^

(i think all but one slot is polarized)

Your tears could supply a village with water when Vauban prime comes out.

  11. I'm assuming that the Tenno were vulnerable to influence and threats to whoever housed their bodies.  They were an effective weapon that were used against the Sentients.

Somehow the Sentients took their bodies and the Lotus hid them from the Orokin and Sentients alike. (spoiler: On the moon in the void) The Sentients either went into hiding or were forced out by the Orokin.  The Tenno then destroyed the Orokin, and the Lotus chose not to kill the Tenno.

There was an earlier conversation with Margolis (the inventor of transference that was stolen by the Orokin) that defended against destroying them.

  12. In the codex entry Stalker is depicted as an Orokin guard that was loyal to the Tenno that witnessed the fall of the Orokin first hand.

I think the Stalker is litterally a warframe acting upon ghost reactions. Kind of like how if you lose a hand you still feel like it's there. I think (or at least this is my second theory) Stalker is basically a "Phantom Limb" so to speak.

I like this theory because we see in the final cutscene when our Warframe, seemingly independently, breaks War in half.  There could be some level of autonomy or residual personality left in the frames once cut-off.

This is further hammered home when a warframe is downed and once revived the operator occasionally says "transference re-established".

  13. There is that moment in the final cutscene, before returning to the orbiter, when the stalker hesitates and looks at his hands just as the operator is looking at his.

The stalker is wondering if he is also an operator trapped somewhere.

He suddenly realizes (as we do for our operator) that the Orokin stuck him in some module and never told him that he was anything but a Warframe.
