Don't get me wrong, great update and I had no idea that the focus system was coming out in U18, I thought that it was a running gag and that it would either never get released or they would announce it and use it for hype.
It was a pleasant surprise.
But the lens system needs some more thought.
At first it seemed great that I would be able to get affinity with my favorite weapons and frames. In theory it was a great idea.
I accidentally installed it on my Rhino P. And now I'm pretty much locked into using him if I want focus points. This is not fun, I generally change my frame ALL the time.
I was playing with a new player and helping him farm, and he kept asking me to change frames and weapons so that I could show him some different stuff.
I bought a second lens from a lucky RNG player for 60 plat just so that I could have more options, but by installing it, I was only further locked into a specific build.
Now I have it on my soma P, and I feel like the biggest duche (like all those other duches playing only with Rhino and Soma all the time). And I'm stuck doing it, until I get 3 more lenses (one for secondary, melee, then finally one that will expand my build options). At least let us buy them from the market for 20 plat like forma and potatoes. I currently have 51 forma fully constructed, but when I first started the game I must have spent about 100-200 plat on forma.
Whatever happens, we need this issue addressed because it only makes the game less fun, limiting our options of weapons and frames that we can use.

I fked up too and installed my lens on my Rhino, not realizing that it would consume it and I could not uninstall it.
I bought another one from a lucky player for 60 plat...This just locks me into my rhino and soma prime now. I feel like all those duchebags that just use rhino and soma prime now. I used to take whatever our team needed, but now everyone will think I'm a duchebag.
At least put lenses up in the market so we can get new ones for 20 plat (like forma and potatoes).

A picture is worth 1000 words:
My archwing revived as Rhino, running through space....
Jordas Assassinate (Eris)
And a lot of the audio ques are called twice (not shown in the video)

The first change that needs to be made is pickups in the rift. It is just an annoying mechanic.

*golf clap*
You can't really consider this a "Buff Saryn Health" thread, though. All OP is doing is offering an objective view of the change.
Thank you,
This is clearly a nerf, but this might be intended?
And higher armor makes regenerative molt a little stronger (aside from the spam-ability changes)

We are currently missing a Warframe that can re-fill our ammo. The best candidate and ability is the one in the title.
Augment - Stock and Launch
Refills ammo when using a jump pad.

What happened to the idea that rewards get better the longer you stay in an endurance mode mission?
Archwing XP is soooo slow, any plans on improving it?
Archwing abilities seem to have been created with PvP in mind, is there any truth to this?
-
Calling it asymmetrical gameplay doesn't change anything. When players have weapons capable of pushing out hundreds of thousands of damage per second, there is no effective way to balance anything.
Both the Stalking player's damage output and survivability would have to be modified by a multitude of factors, including squad size, experience level (only measures currently are time played, Conclave stats, and MR), frame choice, weapon choice, modding, gear items, and mission choice. There are far too many variables.
Even ignoring all that, the current PvP system is still relatively new and is in the process of being finished and balanced. Let's focus on that before adding in an entirely new system. At best, this could be a new gamemode for Conclave, as has been proposed by people for a while now. I would definitely support that idea, and I have in the past.
It's still a convergence since the two can directly interact. One second you are playing a PvE match with some friends, and the next an active player joins your match trying to kill you. That's a forced PvP confrontation in a situation where many (if not most) players are not looking for or desiring it.
Also, this idea pops up quite a bit. There was a post recently about a similar idea (invading players, not necessarily as Stalker), and that was shot down pretty quickly. PvP in a PvE scenario just isn't going to go well.
Your point is moot.
Everything you just said is a very basic understanding of PvP vs PvE in any game. The math in warframe does not support PvP, this is true. Like most PvE games:
Player Health is low, player damage is high.
Enemy health is high, enemy damage is low. (relatively of course).
This does not matter for the discussion at hand. Asymmetric gameplay is when one side is stronger than the other mathematically, but is weaker strategically.
We don't need this aspect to be balanced.
You don't need to change any player stats, you just need to balance the stalker stats.
For example: an overpowered stalker (which is what we want), with 10k health, and a dread that does 800 damage per shot. Against 1 player, he will dominate, but against 4 players, they will have the chance to outmaneuver him.
Just because you are able to regurgitate information, does not mean that this information is applicable to this instance. Because it is not. This is not transforming the PvE segment to PvP in any way shape or form, this is simply making stalker encounters more challenging, engaging and fun.
Beyond this, the stalker only appears in the middle of a match. This is long enough for an algorithm to analyze the "marked" player's damage output, and mitigation statistics. (similar to what is done with rhino and frost during the invincible period of their respective defensive abilities). The stalker stats can be balanced to provide an appropriate challenge level to any party in the same exact way that is currently done with these 2 abilities.
-
I don't see this working effectively any time soon. It's impossible to balance PvP within a PvE scenario, ....
This is called asymmetric gameplay because you effectively have a 1v4 scenario.
... and a great many players would not like the two to ever converge.
It is not really a convergence because it is very short lived, a rare occurrence, and if you die to the stalker, you just revive and continue your mission until the end (where you become the stalker).
I got the idea while watching this video:
-
So excited to share this idea with you guys.
You know how when you die to zanuka you have a special mission?
Well, when you die to the stalker, your special mission becomes to engage a party of 4 players and assassinate your target as the stalker himself.
Mechanics:
1. About 3-8% of the player base should have this mission at all times.
2. If you die to the stalker, the stalker can resume playing and you continue his mission.
3. If you do not succeed within 24 hours (to assassinate a target) you are relieved of stalker status.
4. To keep the value at around 3-8% periodically in a PVP match (whenever a player waits 24 hours), a special message will occur = "Next kill joins the ranks of the stalker elite"
As the Stalker
You will have access to the 3 stalker weapons (even if you don't own them), enemy warframes cannot use abilities near you,
You get 300 energy at the start of the fight, and can use it on your 4 abilities.
1. Excal - Slash Dash,
2. Ash - Smoke Screen
3. Volt - electric shield
4. Nyx - Absorb

I started up a solar rail in my clan Dojo for the 2nd time, and I donated a lot of resources including 500k credits and 10k plastids (approx) and I come back to the game and the research reset with nothing in our clan vault.
I started up the solar rail for the 3rd time now, but i'm waiting to put my resources in....

During the quest of protecting the bomb (def), no enemy appear and the pod or the target we need to protect the hp reduce itself slowly.
I had this too, there is actually an invisible enemy shooting at the pod. Use an AOE ability and you should kill him.
-
I was helping some newer players farm Rhino parts and the radiation proc on my soma bugged the Jackal 3 times in a row. As soon as I changed it to gas, it stopped bugging.
Could not damage it or kill it either.

Now that we have the new alt-fire button, there are many weapons out there with no Alt-Fire options.
What about adding weapon addons that utilize this alt-fire mechanic.
this is an example of an M203 grenade launcher addon for M16 and M4 rifles.
Any thoughts?
-
Can anyone confirm if this happened only with Frost's Globe augment. Because a few times when I took it off, T3D worked like normal.
-
Same thing happened to me twice. It happened to our entire group after using revives past 40 minutes in T3 survival.
-
Same thing happened to me twice in the last 2 days. It happened to my party members too. All weapons and frames were at lvl 1 after revive was used. No abilities unlocked, and the end of mission XP was very weird, leveling up my frames and weapons from level 1 each, and no real affinity was afforded to any of us.
-
Sounds like you DC'd and rejoined after 10 minutes.
-
I've had the same thing happen to me several times. The spawn rate goes waaaay down and the number of enemies per wave stays the same. By the end the waves were taking 20 minutes each.
-
5 Devstreams ago, it was stated that loot would get progressively better the for higher Defense waves and longer Survival times. It was also stated that new login rewards would be coming. Why has this not been implemented yet?
My Pitchforks are ready!
Also curious what will happen to Arcane helmets that add or subtract stamina, will they get any attention when warframes get their infinite energy drink and gatorade sponsorship?

Don't know if you guys accept ideas like this or not, but I thought this would be cool
(Spoilers) "best" Focus?
