  1. Hey there, thank you for this report! We are looking into the intense camera shifting that you are referencing! You'll notice missing the touch control UI for parkour or bullet jumping can cause the camera to launch off in another direction. We've got this on our list of issues to address in an upcoming hotfix!

  2. Whispers in the Walls: Update 35.1: Hotfix #6

    iOS Specific Notes:

    • Added a memory warning popup when players on lower spec iPhones and iPads attempt to enter areas that will cause them to run out of memory.
      • The popup will read: “Using a low-memory device may cause issues while loading this level. Do you want to continue?”
      • Devices in question include iPad 10.2 (2021), iPad 10.2 (2020), iPad mini (2019), iPad Air (2019), iPhone 11 (2019), iPhone XR (2018), and iPhone XS (2018). 
      • Areas can include Duviri, Deimos, Orb Vallis, and Dojos
        • Note: This warning popup will not prevent players from entering the above area(s) in question. Players can choose to dismiss the warning, but may experience performance issues in these areas, depending on their device. 
    • Fixed an issue where players would get stuck in a teleport loop if they had Auto Run enabled when using teleporters such as the one used when entering the Orbiter from a certain spoiler Camp.
    • Removed Placeholder [PH] text from the Account page in the Options menu.

    Changes: 

    • Tusk Dargyns will no longer spawn in the Plains of Eidolon during Saya’s Vigil Quest. 
      • Killing these airborne enemies can be a challenge for new players, so we have removed them as they could prevent players from progressing through the Quest. 
    • Players with Overguard are now immune to the slow effect from enemy Necramech’s Necraweb ability. 
    • Slightly turned down the Grimoire’s projectile firing and impact sounds. 
    • Tweaked Konzu’s transmission timing when completing Eidolon Hunt Bounties. 

    Fixes: 

    • Fixed Overguard earned on Warframe in Duviri from the Killer’s Confidence Decree causing players to be indefinitely invulnerable in the Undercroft. 
      • Now, Overguard earned from the Decree will be cleared from Warframe after entering the Undercroft. 
    • Fixed Lohk Surges not spawning in Zariman missions when started from the Chrysalith immediately after completing the Angels of Zariman Quest. 
      • This also resolves being unable to progress in Bounties that had the “Find and activate X Lohk Surges”. 
    • Fixed Companions being able to pick up Keyglyphs in the Anchorhold, which would prevent Squads from being able to interact with the terminal to begin the search for the Netracell. As reported here: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1381469-unable-to-proceed-past-1st-room-in-netracell-mission/
    • Fixed the Munio, Mirror Defense mission not counting towards the “Crystal Clear” Nightwave Act (Complete 3 waves of Mirror Defense). 
    • Fixed case where pre-New War players replaying the Vox Solaris Quest could matchmake with post-New War players after selecting a Bounty in Fortuna. 
    • Fixed Clients being unable to use the interactable Blinkpads in Open Landscapes. 
    • Fixed casting Grendel’s Feast on the Dax Equitem in Duviri causing the Dax to disappear off his Kaithe, rendering the fight impossible to complete. 
      • To prevent similar issues from occurring, the Dax Equitem is now properly immune to Warframe CC abilities as intended for a mini-boss. 
    • Fixed unread Clan/Alliance Inbox messages at times causing players to be unable to login. 
    • Fixed Clients at times falling out of the map after rush chomping while Maw Feeding in Duviri. 
    • Fixed being able to pull out a fishing spear while Titania is in her Razorwing form, causing the player to lose functionality. 
    • Worth noting that she was never able to actually use the spear in this form, as intended.
    • Fixed the Railjack Cephalon Blueprint still being available for purchase in the in-game Market. 
      • Since the Whispers in the Walls Update, the Blueprint is now sent via Inbox message after starting the Rising Tide Quest from the Codex - so there is no longer a need for it to still appear in the Market.
    • Fixed physics getting whacky after using Qorvex’s Chyrinka Pillar to dive into a Sanctuary Onslaught portal or to approach the closed Fortuna elevator doors in the Orb Vallis. 
    • Fixed the Shard Hex and Shard Bane Ephemeras not properly reflecting the correct yellow color of embedded Amber Archon Shards. 
    • Fixed Translocators (where enemies spawn from) in The Index missions creating a huge field of low-rest blue particles that hang in the air indefinitely. 
    • Fixed extreme blowout VFX after equipping the Bloodshed Sigil on both the front and back of your Warframe and setting its colors to white. 
      • We’re aware of a similar issue occurring with the Catena Prime Ephemera. 
    • Fixed the Legacy Mastery Sigil not appearing correctly for certain Legendary Mastery Ranks. 
    • Fixed a crash after placing a Domestik Drone in the Orbiter and going to the Drifter Camp Captura Scene. 
    • Fixed a script error in Zephyr’s Tail Wind ability.

  4. Please keep us posted, Tenno! Cross Platform Trading has a number of variables and it can be a bit tricky to keep track of. Essentially, for trading across Platforms, both parties must have Cross Platform Save enabled (enabling is done outside of game on warframe.com) as well as 2FA TennoGuard enabled (also in Account Settings of warframe.com)

    Tenno can trade with players on different platforms (depending on those players’ Cross Platform settings). Trading will function the same as gifting, except for trading Platinum and Regal Aya between Nintendo Switch and other platforms, which is not available.

    To make sure you can trade with friends or fellow Tenno across platforms, be sure you are using a Cross Platform Save Account (or PC account*) and have Cross Platform Play enabled via your in-game settings.   7. Thanks for the report, Tenno! Background apps do not get full audio while Warframe is running in the foreground, though we'll take this feedback into consideration!

    As for the audio fully cutting out, have you noticed it occurring after getting a notification, or a phone call? We are aware of this issue and working on a fix!

  8. Hi Tenno, happy to hear you were able to get back in using your method! I believe this was related to our CERT update going out, which could have been solved by manually updating the app by visiting the App Store and updating Warframe. There may have been a short period where the Update option was not available as the update was rolling out globally to all regions.

    Hello Tenno! While we are calling this a hotfix, it is technically a small CERT update -- therefore you may need to visit the App Store and hit Update on Warframe if you disable Automatic Updates on iOS.

  10. Greetings Tenno! We've released a small update meant to tackle some communication and connection issues with the launcher, as well as other in-app fixes. 

    While we are calling this a hotfix, it is actually a small CERT update. Depending on your Automatic App Update preferences, you may need to manually update the app. If you see "Unable to connect, please ensure you have the latest Warframe update installed" on the launcher, head to the App Store, search for Warframe and select "Update"

    Fixes: 

    • Fixed an issue where having Traditional Chinese selected in your iOS System language would show Simplified Chinese instead. 
    • Fixed the issue mentioned in Hotfix #4, where players performing a Heavy Melee attack by pressing “Aim” and “Melee” on touch controls would get caught in a Melee attack loop. 
    • Fixed placeholder text appearing under Account settings 
    • Fixed iCloud backup being enabled for Warframe’s bulk assets. 
      • Warframe was automatically saving to players’ iCloud accounts. Understandably some players do not want this data taking up their iCloud storage. Players who had installed Warframe prior to today’s hotfix and who have automatic iCloud backup may need to manually remove Warframe. See Apple’s “Manage your iCloud storage” resource for instructions. 

    Changes:

    • Improved communication on the opening launcher screen. 
      • Upon immediate launch, players will see “Connecting…” just above the progress bar by default, rather than it being blank during initializing. 
    • Added the ability for players to save log files via the Launcher.
      • How to access: On the launcher, tap the top centre of the screen (in landscape mode) to reveal & save logs. These are primarily used to send to support.warframe.com for technical support. 
        • Players can already “Send Error Logs” under Account Settings, but this invisible button method is for players who can’t access the Options menu. Read our “How to Share Log Files” post here!

    Sending Error logs to Warframe Support is a great way to have your issue identified and fixed as swiftly as possible.

    Retrieving logs on iOS

    • In-game, tap the settings icon in the top left corner of the screen
    • In the “Options”, tap the Envelope Icon to reach the “Account” Page
    • Select “Send Error Logs”
    • Download to your device by selecting “Save to Files”

    If you are unable to get in game, you can also access & save Error Logs by tapping the top centre of the screen (in landscape mode)

    With your Error Logs downloaded, it’s time to send them along!

    Sending Digital Extremes Your Logs

    • Visit Warframe Support support.warframe.com
    • Log in using your Primary Warframe Account
    • Select “Submit a request” in the top right of the web page
    • Select “Logs and Metadata”
    • Use the Subject & Description to explain your issue with as much detail as possible
    • Under “Category” select Files/Logs requested in Forums
    • Drag your Logs onto the ‘Attachments’ field of the support ticket.
    • Hit “Submit”

    When submitting a ticket, there are a couple of things that can be included that will help our developers in identifying and fixing an issue.

    Video Clips:

    It might help us significantly and accelerate the speed we narrow down the issue if you can record how you encountered the issue and send the video clips to us. You can take a screen recording by following these instructions on the iPhone User Guide.

    Screenshots:

    A screenshot can help us understand what you're seeing. It can also potentially help us to provide better support to other players who had the same issue. You can take a screenshot by following these instructions on the iPhone User Guide.

  12. Thanks for putting this on our radar, Tenno! We have the issues with Nintendo Switch Pro Controller on our Known Issues list, and as you theorized these two may be similar. 

    We cannot guarantee compatibility for all third party game pads, though it's possible that when the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller issue is resolved, it will improve the situation with your 8BitDo as well.

  14. Tenno! Before the weekend, we wanted to get some important fixes impacting touch control users.

    Thank you for an exciting first week on iOS! We have more fixes, performance improvements and optimizations on the way next week. Until then we’ll continue to monitor feedback and reports!

    Changes:

    • You can now perform a Heavy Melee Attack via touch controls by holding the Aim button and Melee attacking.
      • Note: You must disable Auto Melee in the settings for the Melee button to appear.
      • This is a temporary change to address players being unable to progress past the required Glaive throw interactions in The New War and The Deadlock Protocol Quests. We will be adding a dedicated Heavy Melee Attack touch control button in the future.
        • Players may experience an issue with this change that causes them to get stuck Heavy Melee attacking. For the time being, this can be resolved by firing or swapping weapons.

    Fixes:

    • Fixed an issue where players using touch controls could not cast a Warframe’s 4th Ability if they had not unlocked Operator gameplay.

We've just deployed iOS Hotfix #4, which addresses the missing 4th Ability for some touch control users, and provides a temporary fix for the lack of a Heavy Melee button on the touch controls UI. We have plenty more fixes, performance improvements and optimizations on the way next week. Until then we’ll continue to monitor feedback and reports!

    Known Issues List

    • Final prompt of Whispers In The Walls quest cannot be triggered
    • Unable to get past the Mountain Pass sequence during The War Within quest
    • Komi Boards in Duviri have no functionality and force players to restart
    • Missing UI during Dojo Duels
    • Linked items cannot be inspected in Chat on iOS
    • Missing rumble / vibration when using gamepad control scheme
    • Customizing touch control UI to place action buttons on the left side of the screen creates issues with the virtual joystick
    • While on the Liset or in a Relay, player cannot move the aim button from the left side of the screen when Customizing UI
    • Chat box appears in the middle of the screen and cannot be moved or scaled
    • Nintendo Switch Pro Controller not functioning as expected on iOS
    • Item Placement in Orbiter, Drifter Camp & Dojo unavailable
    • Search functionality in the Settings Menu is still being finalized
    • Arsenal UI and other UI elements are a continual work in progress, and may change over time

  16. Hi CryoticPryoticRyan and XukriWolf, could you please send me a direct message on the Forums with log files? You can find these by going to the Options, Account (Envelope Icon) then tapping Send Error Logs and saving the ZIP. 

    Please be aware, the iPhone XR's lower RAM may be causing a memory issue. We are still working on improving optimizations, as well as including a warning pop-up when you are running out of memory. Again, if you can send along logs we'll be happy to take a closer look!
