Plus there's way more prime parts duplicated in the Void than got removed "to free up space."
-
In that case it's not too bad then. As for skins, i'd like DE to implement a way to unlock them by doing a bunch of achievements or tasks.
Going along with what I suggested, something like "complete X T1 Exterminate missions" or "complete X T2 Defense missions after reaching the 20 wave reward" to unlock the prime skin for an item would work. They'd be your proper Bragging Rights Reward, without anyone needing to concern themselves with power creep--at least from those.

So the max level of everything will be 60..?
No. The Mastery per rank.
Currently weapons give 100 per rank and everything else gives 200.
-
What about mastery...? If you halve all the stuff that we have right now, we'll go back to mastery 8. It's taken us 2 years to get here so far, to get to 30 will take a really, really long time. All because some people wanted to have something that others do ? lol
Then up the amount that things give.
-
All weapon variants should be turned into skins, and all lost forma and potatoes should be refunded.
Then it's just a matter of reintroducing the Snipetron in some capacity, perhaps as Syndicate weapon.
Problem solved.
Edit: And the Boar and maybe make the Dakra Prime a skin for the Skana.

You can't simply just say I'm wrong as if you know the future. The only way change will happen is if we actually band together as a community to show we want change, only then will it be done.
Past actions predict future behaviour.
What have we had so far? More RNG, more RNG, more RNG.
-
Word it any way you want it; this is just a request to increase drop rates.
Nope nope nope.
Drop rates are fine.
Wrong. I want a guarantee that I won't be seeing Sicarus Prime parts until the end of time.

The latter is the exact position upon returning from a mission. No editing.

That doesn't mean things can't change! Just because he isn't likely to doesn't mean that he never will.
As endearing as your optimism is, it's wrong.
-
Would have been simpler just to trim the current system down to give each tileset one of each mission type (including the Void and Derelict) and spread the prime parts and other goodies (such as some cosmetics) out amongst all the non-Assassinate nodes as non-RNG grind rewards (of the "complete this node X, Y, Z times" variety) so as to promote running all the available content without simply bringing the rest of the game down to the Void's level.
But hey, what do I know, right?
-
Don't confuse RNG with deliberate grindwalls. A 2% drop rate is a deliberate grindwall. Dropping 15 Mesa Helmet in a row is RNG.
Anyway this is all changing, probably in 5 days. Not much point talking about it until then.
I thought the new starchart had an unconfirmed release date.

Don't expect much; when T4 came out, Sheldon immediately duplicated the entire T3 drop table and then stuck the new stuff on top.
And all that after a rousing chorus of "T4 will help spread the prime parts out" on stream.
Sure, he "fixed" it after the community collectively shat itself, but more than 30% of the drop table is still duplicates and the rest is weighted to hell and back.
I recommend only ever going after what you think is next to be removed--in this case, Ember Prime and presumably Glaive Prime and Sicarus Prime--to conserve your time, energy, Platinum and keys.
-
The grind consists solely of multiple layers of RNG. It's so terrible it doesn't feel good at all to finally get what you're after, just less worse now that you know that you've been allowed to blunder your way past the RNG.
For now.
And of course you have to do this constantly, because you never know when DE are going to remove something (Prime Vault) or increase the RNG (Starmap 3.0), and you don't want to miss out.
All it does is piss you off, drive you away from the game and make you regret spending money on it.
-
I hope to the High Heavens that Sheldon is reading this thread.
He'll rig the RNG even harder against us.
-
Only for non-Prime dropped parts of course.
No. Not of course.
-
Is this one of those, I earned it, no one else can have it threads?
Looks like it.

You're saving the unlucky from a genuinely horrible plight, but realize you'd be doing it at a cost of making it slower for those who aren't so cursed.
My heart bleeds. Let me break out the violin.
And you wouldn't be able to work out the drop rates if you don't know the weights, S7ORM. Even taking one item out of circulation throws all the others off.
-
Definitely should be able to trade Brakk and Detron parts.
-
Which is unlikely, as it's pretty much the reason why [DE] encrypted the drop tables. Your suggestion is basically what Datamining is for.
I don't mean chances, I mean the list of potential rewards--like looking at the prime part topic DE keep updated.
-
It works, but I feel like there would need to be an in-game way of looking at each mission's "box" to see how much is left in there.
-
Prisma Stug; fires balls of blinding goo.
-
RNG drives away so many players that it's going to be the death of this game, and then there's going to be lots of hand-wringing on the final devstream.
-
There you have it; RNG equals less profit from all save the whales.
-
Why did you decide to remove entire primes from the Void to clear up space when there are still fifty-plus duplicated prime parts across the entire Void?
