  1. Rivens helps mediocre weapons to become strong. Rivens can’t save weapon with low damage+status+crit. Rolling riven is pain in the butt tho. I have over 50 rivens and 0 of them are godrolls. Most of them just 2 good stats and harmless negative. Or 3 mediocre stats and negative, or 2 good stats. Those aren’t helping bad weapons at all. But it does boosts underperforming weapons with good stats. +180% slash, +260% damage and -infested damage on Aeolak is no joke. But it’s not perfect. I need critical chance or critical damage, and having something else instead of damage would be good, but there is no way I’ll ever roll it. Rivens are personalization. It makes your gun completely unique, and it allows you to choose stats you really want. It doesn’t help bad weapons. Incarnon adapters are exactly turning bad weapons into good weapons (hello, Boltor prime), there is no way you can make Boltor P SP viable with riven, you can’t fix 10% crit and slashless status gun, but adapter actually can. But yeah, sometimes adapters can be overkill with their stats.
  2. Nobody mentions boar? Among of pretty mediocre shotguns back in the day, and the worst Prime shotgun(if not shotgun at all) today (Worse than Tigris yeah).
  3. Warframe isn’t that complicated, it actually has only few damage types - slash, heat, viral, radiation and toxin. And even than last 2 are very niche. Maybe gas for some weird perverts. Jokes aside, it’s hard to judge, I started Warframe as poor student, where I had plenty of time scrolling wiki for info during some worthless lessons, but even than, I’ve never been a no-lifer, I reject to become tubemen, living hours in Void during Void Keys, I’ve never played fantastic four (Khora/Necro/Speednova/PullMag) survival setups for hours and so on, I’ve never been efficient player. I just played at my pace and had fun. I probably still have over 50% of playtime on Oberon and Valkyr. That being said, Warframe is just MMO, with grind being the main game mechanic (Only MMO that have no grind are things like dota or counter-strike, but normal people really should avoid such things at all costs). If you don’t have enough of time to play Warframe, it really can become frustrated, I understand. Warframe is informational dumpster, it has a lot of info, but plenty of this info is not important, you just have to know efficient (to certain degree) ways to skip tedious grinds (leveling stuff in Sanctuary Onslaught, farm credits in Index, use Smeeta for resource farming etc). And Warframe isn’t pvp game, there is no real competition between normal players, there is no difference between players dealing 90% and 10% total damage. A lot of good players doesn’t mind carry weaker players on complicated content like Eidolon , Archon hunts, Profit-taker fights etc.
