  1. After 1+ years of running sorties almost daily, I finally got my first Legendary Core last Friday, so was pretty happy that RNGesus finally blessed me!

Question: Where in my inventory can I actually see the Legendary Core mod/card?  I can only seem to 'see' it when I attempt to rank up a mod and it'll give me the option to use the L.Core or use Endo/Credits.

  2. I did a Kuva Flood assassination mission with the Jackal last night and the siphon machine was right next to the locked exit door that only opens after killing the Jackal.

I could still complete the siphon destruction but had to watch in vain as it captured a few clouds while I was killing the Jackal.

But yeah, I've also experienced numerous instances of siphon machines behind other locked doors like with Rescue and sometimes with bad luck, a timer as well.  I'm sure DE will tweak some of these issues to make it better in the future, but we'll have to live with this now.

  3. Big thanks to InsomnIaC and Inarticulate for their detailed responses and I've reverted back to a 100% Tigris Prime build.  I've already bookmarked this page! :)

I'll still use my +Damage, +Multishot riven with either Blaze or Sweeping Serration depending on what I want to proc most.  This has also given me a better understanding on tweaking my other weapons as well.

Glad to see the helpfulness of the community.  Maybe we'll meet up at TennoCon 2017. :)

"When both physical and elemental damage types are present on a weapon (such as a base physical damage weapon with elemental mods equipped), physical damage types are weighted four times as much as elemental types are in the proc calculation, making elemental procs relatively rarer."

This means that for a Tigris Prime with (e.g.) 10 impact, 10 puncture, 80 slash, 120 radiation, and 120 viral, the probability distribution for proc chance is as follows:

    [Total denominator: (10+10+80)*4 + 120 + 120 = 640 ]

    Probability for a pellet to proc impact = Probability for a pellet to proc puncture = 10*4 / 640 = 6.25%

    Probability for a pellet to proc slash = 80*4 / 640 = 50%

    Probability for a pellet to proc radiation = Probability for a pellet to proc viral = 120 / 640 = 18.75%

An important thing to note is which status effect stacks, and which don't. As the mechanics are for now, only Toxin, Gas, Corrosive and Slash procs stack, meaning that you can have multiple of those procs occurring for a 100% status shotgun or innate-multishot weapon for maximum effect.

    ...

Awesome.  Thanks so much for the detailed response (I did look up the wikia before posting but missed it), and finally understand this proc distribution after playing Warframe for almost 3 years!  :)

    My next question is this:

    - Prior to Rivens, I was running a 100% status Tigris Prime and was pretty happy with it.  With the current Tigris Riven I rolled, I do have increased damage across the board, but sacrificed one my dual-stat-status mods so that my status chance drops to around 99.4% I think.

Is it still worth using the Riven or should I stick with a 100% status build.  I generally use my Tigris only against some sortie bosses (eg. Raptor) and higher level enemies like sortie Bursas, etc.

You don't want to use Slash damage for either the Corrosive-Blast build or the Viral-Radiation build because that reduces the probability of landing a Corrosive proc or Viral proc, respectively, regardless of the mod you replace.

    Thanks for the tips.

Can you help me understand why I can't proc both Slash and say, Viral on a 100% Tigris status build?  Does one damage type take precedence over another?

On another note, I sorta gave up on rolling a Tigris Riven.  After over 60 rolls (!), I couldn't get one with a good status chance (above 53.4% as you mentioned), plus other good enough positive stats to replace, say the dual-stat mods (eg. 60% heat and 60% status chance mod).  The Tigris riven I'm using now has a +66 damage, +36 status duration, +38 toxin.

Yeah, that's the thing, despite both being "common drops", it is pretty obvious endo has the higher weighted rate.  Say that overall 50% was your chance of getting a common drop, 49% would be endo, and 1% a riven.  Even though both are common, yeah rivens are still the rarer common.

You'd think they'd have equal chance but nope.

A few devstreams ago, I remember them saying that they'll tweak the 'algorithm' so that it will less likely to say, get endo twice in row.  Was that ever implemented?

If so, how will that work in group?  Eg: Player 1,2 and 3 each had a Riven yesterday.  Myself, I had endo yesterday.  So how will this play out?  Am I more likely to get a non-endo or non-Riven reward?!

  7. I noticed a few changes with the PS4 Glast Gambut update:

    • I used to be able to suspend the Kuva Guardians when I activate my Zenurik Focus, but not any more. They are immune to it now.
    • There used to be a red square Target marker on the mini-map showing clearly where the Kuva machine is even from far away.  Now, you have to be pretty close to the Kuva machine and in the same tile before you see the small Kuva machine symbol on the mini-map.
    • The Kuva cloud appears to move slightly faster.
    • The Kuva Fortress now roams all around the starchart instead of being usually around the Eris/Sedna region

Yeah, some of those tight placement needs some tweaks.  If you're not alert, the Kuva cloud spawns right next to the machine and gets sucked up very fast.

I don't like the Kuva survival missions.  Since I do Kuva farming solo, the machine often spawns far away from the life pods.  If you do not find them quick and quickly capture the 4 clouds, it is easy to run out of life support.

Request:  Could we have multiple Kuva machines in a single mission?  Or perhaps Kuva machines with more braids thus giving more Kuva?  Pretty please?!

  8. Yeah, RNGesus will mess with you.

I got Nidus neuroptics and systems in the first 2 runs and I thought, hey, this will be my lucky day.

What a nasty tease... turns out, it took me another 20 to 30 rotation C runs before I finally got the chassis. :(  I was in no hurry so had decided to make the grind.  You will get it eventually.  It's just how long you can mentally endure the grind!

  9. I got the neuroptics and systems pretty quickly, but another 15+ rotation C runs later, no chassis.  Darn you RNG!

Yeah, I could always buy with platinum but since I'm in no hurry, I'll just keep trying over the weekend.

On another note, don't really like the Infested salvage mission. Yeah, it's like that JV raid portion, and one of the map (multi-level one) is just annoying as hell and hard to see when the blue bubbles are all lit.  Bad level design IMHO and I hope DE will consider tweaking it to be more friendly.

I keep flashing back to the old days when the Cert was finished and thrown up on the same random afternoon lol.  The days of chaos and surprises.

There is some amount of coordination needed now with the XBone cert and release date too, so no choice but to be patient.

I'm just hoping to get some Riven mods before I leave for my year end vacations and CES show in Vegas after. :)

That's pretty normal though. You can buy that phone now. Or wait a year or two when it's a couple hundred off, same for the TV, the computer. Basically most things you buy in the modern society.

Edit: a couple years is also a lot of time. How many people look at something brand new and think "Oh man! I can't wait to get that in a few years!", when by that time there are several newer and far cooler items to be wanted instead. Of course some people do, but very few.

    Well said.

I'm willing to pay the premium just so I can get the latest shiny stuff, but I won't complain when it gets cheaper later.  I see it as personally supporting DE and the game I still enjoy.

  12. Back when Primed Chamber was introduced on PC in mid 2013 I believe, there weren't many mod selections as we do now so I guess it was good back then.  However as others above have pointed out, there're much much better and wider selection of mods now that make Primed Chamber seem pretty tame and not even worth a slot on snipers.

I personally was lucky enough to pay some sum of plat years back to get one from a PC player who migrated to PS4.  I'm now just holding onto it for collection sake and don't even bother using it on my Vectis Prime.  I'll probably sell it at some point and use the plat to buy better Riven mods. :)

  13. Yes, I was disappointed too.  More traces will not incentivize me to stay longer and face toucher enemies, when I can just restart the fissure mission.

I was hoping that maybe at Rotation C, they could automatically upgrade your relic to the next level, and maybe when you get yet to another rotation C, it will be upgraded to Radiant automatically, or something like that.

  14. Here's hoping we can get the latest Vacuum Within update plus HDR support when the PS4 pro comes out!

Don't really care for VR that much now (all those cables and wires!), but it would be nice if PS4 Warframe had a 3D mode so I could at least enjoy that on my TV.  FWIW, I did really enjoy playing some 3D games when that was a thing (eg. Trine 2 on PS4, Uncharted 3 on PS3) now that most glasses are lightweight passive ones instead of the older active shutter ones that were heavy and made your eyes tired.
