This is a completely reasonable price based on current market conditions.
Fact: Maxing mods like serration, redirection, etc. is hard. They have very high maximum ranks, and it goes up double each time. It takes time, credits, and cores.
Fact: As a result, market prices for these maxed mods are very high. 140p-250p for a maxed redirection or serration is fairly common.
Fact: A legendary core is an alternative means to bypass the expense, effort, and resource cost of maxing such a mod.
Therefore any first year economics student will conclude that the price for such a core is the value of what it lets you avoid. The market has determined that maxing is worth a lot of plat when done the old fashioned way. So of course the legendary core would have the same value.
As a side note, just because it's the asking price doesn't mean it's selling.
As another side note for the folks who say the whole mod system is broken: Contrary to reports, the sky is not, in fact, falling. There are a limited number of these things in circulation, and they're consumed upon use. Assuming no more get released (which we can't but for now...) there are no more being created. So eventually they work their way out of the system and life goes on. I seriously doubt that many people had a steel charge aura to put tons of them into circulation.

I already have. They are vastly in excess of the cost of getting steel charge ranked, they are open to abuse and they do not differentiate between people with rank 6, 10 or anything inbetween.

They crashed mod economy with it already, prices for maxed rank ten mods have gone down for like 50%
Also, its unfair if you get 2 rank 10 mods for having spent 2 or 3 cores on a mod.

Personally, I wished I could do that with the phased asa, when the regular asa got released, it was an utter dissapointment.
On Mynki's artwork it looked like the coolest of the syandanas but in-game it was just ugly and didn't really match the art, it has been tweaked but still.
The phased asa is way beter than is predecessor but it does't match the color sceme of some fromes people have.

DE does nto actually have to pay back players for either steel charge or nerfed weapons.
consider the steel charge compensation a gift.
if you complaing you will either make DE:
a) not do anything about this.
b) take away the legendary cores from those people.
none of those help you

i have been playing mark of the ninja: special edition lately. it comes with the developer commentary.
from the commentarty, i learned that programmers are the ones that almost don´t play game, until the later stages of development. this is of course in a game that once finished is never updated, not like warframe taht is constantly updated, so maybe it´s different, but it´s something to consider

The supposed guranteed prime part is at 20 minutes. I got a key instead. Some prime part that is. I guess the drop tables are broken... again
just checked the wiki. at 20 minutes its definetely a void key, prime part or forma. its not a bug since its a T1 mission.
still, i imagined the prime parts from T1 missions would be hard to get. void keys should not be in the the 20 minutes/wave 15 rewards. they should be normal rewards from the other waves

i feared this would happen. not getting the prime oart at 15 minutes must be a bug (at least i guess it is), but im worried a lot more about T1 exterminate, mobile defense and capture missions. those missions will be so, so bothering.

Please explain how refunding the exact cost to rank steel charge from 5 to 6 or 5 to 7 etc etc would have been a let down or unfair to anyone?
please explain how the legendary cores are unfair to the people with steel charges. in any case, it would be unfair to DE, because they gave even more than they needed to.

i dont remember the exact numbers, but getting 550 for the boltor was a nightmare

vauban should be in the research lab. i dont care if he becomes a common guy (in speaking as someone who already has vauban).
also, your idea of us fighting him is not good. why would we fight him? warframes are costumes, who is under the warframe? how would the fight work?

they made a mistake and in a week the fixed. done.
they gave 2 legendary cores so that the people that lost steel charge didnt complain.
people exploited it. bad move from DE, but it´s not really important. it wont be rolled back, and it doesnt affect anyone.

Well, at lot of people are excited mostly due to the fact that it opens up a whole lot of opportunities.
1: NPCs that give out missions hanging out in the space stations.
2: Possibility of customizing our spaceship (Since we'll need one to get to the HUB)
3: A nice lobby to interact with other players
4: An awesome spaceship to explore
5: It's something new. People just generally either get terrified or excited about new stuff.
Also I have never played Phantasy star online, no idea about it.
Edit: Thought of more!
6: Increases immersion into the world
7: Possibly secrets to find in the spaceship.
8: An awesome view (I know that's not much, but it's something.)
9: Possibility of merchants hanging around trading specific things
10: With each planet having it's own station it brings out the individual feels of each planet. I doubt each station will be exactly the same.

I know what he wants, it is not hard to see either. He put time and effort into the game to get where he is now because he earned it. People are getting a free ride. He is saying stop this free ride madness. Hope that spelled it out for you clearly.
as i said before, you want to take a compensation from the players. this, i repeat, doesnt affect you.
