  1. What the title says. It would be great if Vex Armor could be recast before the duration expires (and thus before you lose your Scorn and Fury bonuses).

Especially on high level play, losing Vex armor pretty much means you have to hide and whimper in a corner while you wait for your shield to recharge and if you can't find a safe corner, you just die.

All in all, Chroma's looking pretty awesome and he just needs a few tweaks, like giving the Effigy Sargus Ruk's fireball attack (or something like it).

  2. Agree.

I was surprised by the immense backlash after U16 dropped. So terrible that we actually have new content that isn't complete grind now.

Conclave is at the very least playable now, though ults do feel like P42W more than ever (especially on the small map with non-LoS ults), so it becomes important to not let anyone get 4 orbs. But it's definitely a big step in the right direction.

Chroma is attainable via quest. And it's a fun quest. No complaints. Looks to be the all-rounder that Oberon never was.

Manics are a good time. Almost feels like a real Stalker fight.

Waiting on Kohmak. Love the new Ogris model and its shared similarity with the new Torid. Ripkas are slow but sweet and have good stats otherwise, I'll probably potato them when I get bored one day.

Haven't tried the raids, since I haven't had 2 straight hours to spare but I'll get around to it soon now that I'm done with Simaris and his stuff.

GG, DE. But be quick with that Parkour 2.0. The Manics are more Ninja than us right now ;)

  3. Don't worry, dawg. The Boar is on the list of weapons for the first release of newPvP, so you should be able to buy/build it again when U16 drops.

    Soon...

  4. plz, no turning my thread into "OMGZ GAMMACOR 2 PERFUL NURF PLOX" . Im tired of seeing that garbage.

anyways, the original akbolto was never on par with the likes of the original marelok, so theres a lot more room for improvement than there was between the marelok and V. marelok.

Definitely turning your thread into a "nerfpl0x" thread.

You're comparing the Takboltos to overpowered guns. And you test puncture weapons in ODS. Scrubery.

The AkBolto was and is one of the strongest and most usable secondaries in game. Then they made it explode. The only thing that needs buffing about the gun is the lame-ish skin.

Sorry that 'balanced but top tier' translates as 'weak' for you.

  5. Bob, not Paul munden.

And no, running around parkouring and shooting arrows isn't archery. Archery has always been about massed volumes of fire more than anything else, and that was the bow's advantage over early muskets and crossbows, which had a much lower volume of fire, but greater armor-penetrating power.

I'm ragging on it largely because........I don't like bows, am permanently mentally scarred from huntsman spammers, and find the over-hype of weapons that did nothing but look fancy and win badly rigged fights. (Agincourt was a worst-case scenario full of mud).

In reality, wars were won by lines of disicplined infantry and a final blow on a staggered enemy through heavy cavalry.

    Sorry for the typo.

Yes, Lars is over-hyping his "rediscovery" of archery. The situation is always going to dictate itself.

Like I said before, most of ancient/medieval conflict consisted of essentially tribal turf wars. What your talking about is outright war between nations. The history of Europe isn't just guys constantly tromping through the country with 10-50,000 men at your back. Otherwise, everyone in Europe would've been dead a while ago.

I'm just saying don't get too twisted up when someone's just trying to show us something cool.

  6. Watch the top video dirst, the type of shooting lars is doing is fascinating and all, but only effective against unarmored targets, im all for moving said quiver to the hip, but if this is done my dread is going to to the place in my arsenal to never return until patched back the way it is now

That's why a switch fire mode button would be cool. Just Legolas the trash mobs and nullifiers, then switch when a heavy tries to facetank.

  7. Thanks for the input, guys!

I don't have access to Breach Loader. Accelerated Blast would be a good alternative, I suppose.

Doesn't Vicious Spread break the purpose of the Hek? (less spread than other shotties)

The drawback from Vicious Spread is barely noticeable on the Hek, and Breech loader is nice, but will the 100% status, blast is going to be more useful than a status proc from puncture damage.

Edit: And I double posted my edit...

  8. Oh, and on another note, you are glorifying archery. Archery, in reality, was literally aiming in the general direction of a large army, then spamming arrows along with 6000 of your buddies, hoping the one arrow or two might hit something.

Most of ancient and medieval warfare, in reality, consisted of skirmishes on disputed land, so the form archery that's being "glorified" would probably be the most commonly used by professional soldiers.

    In short, don't be a d!ck.

Granted, Paul Munden is a bada$$ and I would totally invite him to be part of a modern-day League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but I don't know why you and everyone else are ragging so much on this. It's just a cool thing that Space Ninjas should be able to do along with quickdraws and extreme range sniping.

Bows are pretty great right now, though. If we had a 'select fire mode' button, it would do this stuff for bows.

  9. There are two types of People...

Why can't there be three (or more types)? My favorite dragon? This guy:

    gaping-dragon-large.jpg

You've given us two options: Lockwood's Red Dragon glued on a Warframe or a Rhino reskin.

LOL at all teh butthurt n00bs that got a hard on for DnD dragons and then got S#&$ on by DE when they released this glorious frame

    H8rs gonna h8

    :^)

    ^This guy knows what's what.

  10. I think this is the Vor's drama that occurs right after the Tutorial. Then we go to Mecury and cut him in half...or something...or at some point he wakes up the wrong excal...

It'd be neat if there was a mission where some higher ranked Tenno go and save some newb from Vor. Like this:

Would be a baller way to introduce players to the game.

  11. Starting from about 1:30. He's emphasizing the naturally longer (not necessarily more frequent) strides associated with a sprint.

    Exactly. Thank you.

This video, of course, only demonstrates a high-speed, accelerating sprint in a straight line. I'd also like to see some attempt to add animations for sudden directional change, like sprinting forward and trying to make a 180 (because you just faceplanted yourself into the welcoming, ferrite bosom of a Heavy Gunner) by intentionally overbalancing in the opposite direction and grabbing the floor in a slide or something.

Y'know, immersion. Give the illusion that Tenno have mass/intertia ingame. I have dreams of Movement 2.0 sometimes...

  12. Here it is! High speed sprinting animation!

Such...just wow. The most pro-est Warframing I have ever seen. Volt is real Masterrace

    -OP Snip-

But, +1. When my Rakta goes off with maxed Rush on my Loki, the game just gives me Sonic legs ("Gotta go fast!"). It's just too silly.

How. It's. Done. Don't know how you'd animate it with a primary or a drawn bow, but I'm confident the A&A dept can make it look cool.

  13. Horror genre used to scare the S#&$ out of me. Recently, I watched the The Conjuring (because everyone was like "its zo scarry zomg"), and yeah it was creepy. Good execution, blah blah. Then it got to the witch-ghost on top of the wardrobe scene and on the zoom-in of her face, I saw she had the "Here's Johnny!" look.

I could not stop laughing. What was supposed to be the scariest moment of the movie became the funniest. I watched it over and over again. Still funny.

After that, I went on a horror-splurge. Horror movies are garbage now, I realize. Unless they're sweet gore-fests like Evil Dead, I see horror movies just like everyone else who rolls their eyes at the genre: low-budget attempts to rake in a huge amount of cash in the box office, which use the same tricks over and over and over again.

But none of that applies to Lovecraftian horror. That stuff I always thought was just plain cool.

  14. Fanart means nothing.

Frame's not gonna get changed, deal with it.

So mad... You realize that it looks like they didn't finish the frame, right? It looks like a concept draft that got the okay. Asking for quality implementation, not a "change".

I'm all for that. Want to take off the bulky shoulders of Rhino Prime too.

Actually you can take "off" the one-big shoulder of Banshee if you want to wear a shoulder attachment, same with Frost. That shows that this is possible.

Putting the thigh plates in attachment system would solve everything.
