Just finished installing latest Windows update, sound on Warframe (just Warframe) is now very quiet.

Installed todays windows update and now all sound in Warframe is almost inaudible. I've reinstalled graphics/sound drivers, checked audio output and volume in game settings, and checked other sound sources. Streams, webpages, music, & other video games all sound normal and great. It's only in Warframe. Also used verify cache & optimize options in Warframe launcher. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem or has any suggestions. Driving me nuts because I want to play and we're coming up on content drops but can't play without sound!

Did you check the audio mixer in the system tray?  Could be that slider has become lowered.

also might try checking to see if your headset or speaker volume is turned down.

Did you use to have Loudness Equalization on? It might have been disabled!

Thanks for suggestions everyone. I did check audio mixer, it was normal. Checked headset & speaker volume they are also normal as far as I can tell. I did have loudness equalization on and I did turn it off, but I did that after the problem appeared as part of the efforts to fix it.

Not sure where to go.

 

Edit: It appears it was loudness equalization setting. Without it I can barely hear anything in Warframe even if I turn the volume up, even though every other audio source sounds great. So I guess I'll just leave loudness equalization on for now so I can play Warframe, just wonder if it's changing how I hear music and other things.
