Selecting Scanners from Gear wheel not working

Both Simaris scanners and codex scanners displayed unarmed after selecting. Only on a few attempts which repeatedly selecting the same scanner so it will zoom in and work.

Same here I have had it happen 4-6 times now to where I can't scan anything in a mission. Synthesis scanners are in position one on the wheel if that means anything.

Yep, having same issue. Keybindings don't work either.

Same here. Posted few threads up. By an exception some time works but aleatory. Most of the time not...

The same here. Can't equip scanner binded on F1.

 

But its possible to equip it through Equipment Wheel (Spiral).

I'm using the wheel, I become unarmed but I can't actually scan or zoom.

Same, I get disarmed but cannot actually scan anything. Same issue for both scanners in all missions.

Yep, both scanners are inactive upon selecting.

I've seen suggestions that this only happens if you are not the host of a mission (so playing solo should also be ok).

Got the same issue here, being stuck at "unarmed". Both scanners will not work.

Same issue with the scanner, wanted to scan really bad and spammed buttons and accidentally i jumped out the map, came back in the map, i could scan the object 😄

maybe that triggers something?

Spamming the shortcut made me stuck unable to shoot neither to scan anything but with hard try it finally works fine. I think this is a problem of communication with the host. Once it "allow" to use the scanner, there no more problem to swith in/out the scanner. There must be an issue in the protocol of communication. Maybe the information is drop at the bottom of the list with some actions and once it give the "ok" response, it is for the during of the mission. Being the host, I also have the problem, most of the time, it when there is enemies around, this must triggered prioritary commands on the program... Ideas here and ther but hope this will be fixed very soon, because it's very annoying

Synthesis scanner works fine to me.

Got the issue in codex. Someone said I place it in slot 5 (currently in slot 6), but it is still the same.

I go unarmed when I select the scanner in the gear wheel. A few attemps with this becomes successful. Will confirm tomorrow if it is only during sessions that I join.
