(XBOX)ENA 34
Okay, so, I don't understand the formula for Armor and how much DMG is prevented. Can someone please help me? Let's say my Armor is 1027.50, how much DMG reduction is that?
0 Dhrekr
There's a very long and detailed page for that on the wiki, of course: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Armor Answer: with 1027 armor, you receive 77% less damage.
0 Xzorn
Not to make things more complex but take note of the Armor Damage modifiers section. It explains that a modifier positive or negative can increase or reduce your armor value. For instance against Puncture you would only have 513 armor or 63% damage reduction while as against Slash damage you would have1,181 or 79.7%. it's not something to really calculate in every day eHP checks but something to consider as to why Puncture and Toxic damage hurt so much against Warfram's Ferrite armor and generally buff based mitigation like Trinity's Blessing or Gara's Splinter Storm are better sources of damage reduction than Armor alone. 0 Autongnosis
Base formula for damage taken is 300/(300+armour). Subtract that from 1 and you get mitigated damage. Ie 1027.5 gives: - dmg taken = 300/1327.5 = 0.226 = 22.6% - dmg reduction = 1 - 0.226 = 0.774 = 77.4% Do mind armour modifiers make that vary vastly, check this out: Those are lv 155 eximi vs a 334% strenght Fire chroma. As you can see corpus with their puncture focused guns completely destroy him, while the impact and blast focused grineers do laughable damage.
