In some cases you'll be able to see the yellow around the edges of the screen. Kind of ruins the image quality. Yeah it'll make your screen less bright but also makes some pictures look grimy. If you really are that worried you might as well go for some tinted glasses instead. Cheaper (in most cases) then buying a new monitor and portable.
