Endless rotation reward system change

Arbitrations use ABCCCCCC, instead of the typical AABCAABC. It has various rewards across the rotation with better versions and more desirable rewards as rare ones in C, which allows for more encouragement to stick around rather than reset more often.

Why is this not the standard across the whole game? Most players don't even stick around until Rotation C as it is, but even when they do there is no incentive to stay past that since you can just reset and start over for the exact same amount of time without the added effort. If it stayed at C, with the better rewards locked behind it it's more efficient to stay.

I'm not trying to force players to stay in endless forever, but aside from Arbitrations, "endless" missions died with void keys.

Void Keys were a mistake, DE's said as much. That kind of gameplay won't return unless there's no chance of the same loop coming back.

Yep, that exactly.

As much Arbitration is a exampel but they never wanted people to go endless, they not want you to stay 5 hours in a misison or so, why the scaling of enemys is and always will be that borken also, you are free to go but slowly forcing you to exit without just endign the mission on you.

Void keys were a mistake because they were limited, and rare enough to require endless modes to get things more important than just mastery fodder.

The incentive for endless modes was never a mistake though, which is why DE still locks unique rewards behind endless modes in ESO and Arbitration. But there's no reason why an incentive to stay longer shouldn't be available across the game, when leaving early is always an option if you only want exp.

The difference is there is no reason to stay in any other endless mission, which defeats the entire concept of "endless". DE could literally make all other endless missions end immediately after the first rotation C right now and there would likely be less feedback posts than there were about removal of raids.

It doesn't have to be exclusively unique wave rewards either. Even just better quantities of resource drops and rewards would improve farming capability.

With arbitrations running the ABCCCC... and disruption with 4 defended running BBCCCCC... it might already be planned to turn the current survival, defense, excavation, and interception missions into AABCCCC... (maybe AABCBCBCBC... if they don't want too many C rotations for some reason.) If it's not, I hope they consider it.

No. They were a mistake because of what they incentivized. It would have still been a mistake if everything in the game had the same pay once, get infinite rewards gameplay.

That means it is now "mandatory" to stay longer to get the most out of the game. Those unique rewards, like the John Prodman poster, are the only type of rewards that work since there is no effect on the actual game, it's cosmetic and you only need it the once and never need to constantly do long runs to optimize your game.
