devstream 139 feedback (shields, arcanes, self dmg)

okay so... yeah. lots of changes.... "need a practical test to see the changes" not really. i've been a top 50 WoW raider, with rank 1's in dps/healing, and a very good theorycrafter for a very long time until i "retired" and often times was more accurate than any simcraft build.

 

Shields.

very strong change for most frames. dragonkey negative shields to basically always have shield gate up like a hildryn but a LOT more reliable, and 0 investment to shields.

Hildryn nerf.... a lot... please, please, please... change her passive to something along the lines of "bonus health transfers to shields, and benefits from armor" she becomes almost entirely useless after this patch if nothing changes, and a 25% reduction is entirely meaningless for shields as at 90% adaptation you can still get 1 shot for your entire shield as it doesn't benefit from armor.

 

New Arcanes.

5 rank for many of the arcanes is actually really really really nice i won't lie... but if arcane grace, energize, rage, avenger are in those rank 5's.... nothing changes besides hildryn using a rank 5 toxin with rank 5 barrier.

 

Self Damage.

RIP chroma. i actually have no issues with chroma being reduced in this psuedo nerf as it only makes him not flatly "the best" frame and you'll actually need to take time to build stuff up... however... pretty much impossible to get vex armor damage increase now on lower end things.

please change "cautious shot" to exilus and "50% less stagger" and for the love of sweet lotus.... allow knockdown resistance/recovery to work with this or it's going to be the absolute worst with playing a "fast paced" game and being stunned half the time.

The whole "stagger" system is kinda just as bad as self damage suicide... it severely nerfs any output you could do with them on warframes you had synergy with and could survive the self damage. now it's just total dog poop to use these weapons as their power has been crippled (in my opinion).

clarification on "top 50".. don't matter too much just some people will question your medal.

for sure. i never use energize as getting energy drops just not reliable unless you're using a frame that does that and then it's mostly a support role.

it is however... still a massive nerf to them.

Yes and no. No to stacking arcanes but again a buff to arcanes.yes trash teir is trash teir but mid and great arcanes can be ran together and adding more diversity in builds so an overall nerf? Kinda but in viability and usability plus accessibility a buff yes. Still can't imagine them not fixing a gamemode so they remove it from the game (Lor cough cough)
