Would it be cool to age your tenno like they are teens now so what if we could optionally age them like if yes is chosen you create there older look then every month or so for like was 8 or nine months they will slowly look different maybe vocals change maybe.I was just thinking that would be a cool idea 🤷🏿‍♂️

Its also possible with the Plains of Duviri that we were actually split from our physical body. We, the operators now, are the Oro (soul) side of our selves. This would explain how we can use transference, not die/age, and have void abilities. Meanwhile in the Plains of Duviri, our physical body is still there. It has aged compared to our Oro, it is vulnerable to real damage, and has no void abilities. The TenZero event probably caused a split between our body and soul.

they have been teens for years, decades, maybe even centuries. why would they age now and so fast?

Well, they've been in stasis for millenia.

If you want to crunch out how many days have passed on Earth's tileset or landscape since The Second Dream, then years have probably passed by this point, but that's the kind of game play mechanic that often gets glossed over when calculating time.

they were not in stasis on the Ten-Zero and yet they remained children. during a time where most of them would have the most growth, or would have crossed into adulthood. I guess those that were children when the accident happened, but would have been adults when the ship was rescued went crazy like the actual adults that didn't get void demon powers. yes, that would not be contrived at all!

especially when the story hammered home over and over that oro makes you immortal and tenno specifically have oro.

you know... maybe DE forgot that period. it was before they pulled kuva, the oro substitute for those who don't get the real deal.

They were not on the Ten-Zero for millenia.  They were stuck in pods, on the moon and locked away in the void for millenia.

And for that matter, it's not clear how time moves within the void.
