Losing Connection to Squads Every Single Game

Port forwarding my router (4950, 4955 UDP) along with the TCP ranges (6695-6699) did not work. I've even made the the game .exe an exception with my antivirus and that didn't do anything either.

What DID work was using ethernet - still not 100% what is going on - this was never a problem in the past.

YES! This is the EXACT issue I have. This issue where I am trying to join friends but it is aggravating me to the core that I keep getting booted for no reason. Eight out of ten times I can join flawlessly. This has been happening to me for MONTHS. It wasn't so bad when I first joined the game but today it has been kicking me from 95% of squads without me needing to click a single button. It has been worse recently and there's literally nothing I can do. I don't want to try reinstalling the game as I feel as if it would do nothing to solve my problem.

It wont, I even contacted DE support and they basically said its my ISP or my fault ,even though it was all fine until the update.

That honestly makes no sense 'cause I am in the same boat before all the updates had happened and it's always been doing this squad issue ever since I joined the game.

Coming back to add that I have issues doing missions in open world areas now, too. If I want to do an Isolation Vault on Deimos, and I pick the mission from Mother in the Necralisk, it'll say I'm joining up with people then I'm totally alone once the doors open and I'm out on the drift. It's made trying to farm resources for a Necramech take longer since I'm stuck doing it alone. I've had some luck going out into the Drift first, then picking the mission from Mother outside, but it's not 100% that I get someone to join.

Glad I found this thread. This squad disconnect issue has made farming prime stuff unbearable. I thought it was just me not forwarding my ports because I had gotten a new router recently, but that didn't fix it. I can connect with my friend who lives near me, but if I invite anyone else they all d/c when loading, or if I'm in someone else's cell I get the countdown timer freeze. I can be reinvited and join with no problems, and the mission runs as normal. But people will flake out when they see someone leaves, so trying to organize radshares is infuriating.

I'm having the same issue reported here,  albeit not every time:

When joining a squad, I tend to get disconnected from them in the lobby. This doesn't happen with all squads and the strange thing is, if the mission is started fast enough, we run the mission as a squad without an issue, but then I may get disconnected from the squad a few seconds after the mission ends.

I have had this problem for months now, prime farming is just unbearable because of that but i am glad to see that other people are experiencing the same issues and that it is not just my game being completely broken on my side. There are a very little amount of posts about this, most of them are old/ have no answers. It seems that it is also happening to some people on console

^I would like to point out, after mentionning having problems with my internet sometimes, that even before this host migration bug started happening to me i could still host squads with no problems (my internet would break without me realizing and the people who joined would point out my awful ping at that moment, still they always managed to join. Now i just cannot host any squad at all no matter what, if we have been matchmaked before the timer runs out.)

I redownloaded the game and started playing, for the first few days everything was fine but now i cannot play in a premade squad, it disconnects me from the squad every single time, and if i host it still does the same thing. This has been happening for two days now and the worst thing is that it just suddenly started happening, i didnt change any network settings or change my network in any way but now the game doesnt let me do premade squads for any mission. I can play with other people but only if i enter the squad during the mission. Kinda considering leaving the game again since i cant even enjoy it like this.

Issue still hasnt been fixed, I have tried everything to no avail. Its not possible for me to farm relics at all. If i try to queue into a fissure or free roam mission with a premade squad it ALWAYS pauses during countdown and then i lose connection to host. Why? This is the only game where this happens and i think im just gonna give up trying to find a fix.

I have exactly the same problem,  but there's one thing: in my case I'm getting kicked ONLY when I'm connected to WiFi. When I'm connected to ethernet this problem isn't appearing.  BUT I have the same router with the same firmware all the time and the same PC with the same usb WiFi etc... There's one interesting thing: when I'm in a squad hosted by another player in my local network (who have ethernet connection) everything is okay.  What could be the problem?

P.S. Is there meaning enabling upnp when im behind providers' NAT?

I have also been having the same issue. However, the issue started for me back in December of 2020. I don't know if DE has seen this forum, but I hope the devs are trying their best to resolve the issue. A response from them would be reassuring.

bump, had this issue for a few days around nov 2021 and it fixed itself, only for it to come back and last for the past few weeks. farming relics in a premade squad is impossible and playing with friends is very difficult

DE, this issue seems more prevalent after the AOTZ update. I was able to play just fine before the update, and now I can't squad up with my friends before the squad disbands 5 seconds after forming. I've done an eval on my side, including my ISP, and nothing has changed. I really hope this is fixed soon-- it makes me not want to play. Especially since I was just coming back after a Warframe break.

Same issue. It’s very annoying especially with relics. Can’t join people in missions, get kicked 99% of the time and I’m on console so there really isn’t anything I know of besides uninstalling to even try to help.

My buddy and I have this occur *after* every mission.  We haven't really seen anyone get kicked before the mission starts that I'm aware of.   A couple of things that we noticed:  when I used his second computer at his house, we didn't experience the issue.  We have confirmed that using steam vs epic doesn't matter.  I'm connected to ethernet.  We are gonna try setting our ping preference to unlimited next to see if that changes anything, although I don't think it should kick you for that *after* the group is already formed.

 

edit: for clarification we used to play like 7 years ago or something and never encountered this problem before.  We just recently picked it back up during the Angels of Zariman patch.

 

edit2:  I usually host, but it doesn't seem to matter who hosts.  However, it doesn't seem to affect everyone.  I was able to group with another couple pick up groups for several games in a row without anyone dropping in the last week.
