Well, battle Royale games have grown more popular, and pvp isn't too hot with Warframe, buuuut if there was a way to pretty much use basic versions of weapons, while retaining conclave mods, then it would be perfect for everyone to showcase their Warframe, and to showcase weapons. Random drop crates, 32 or 64 players fighting to be the last one in a shrinking circle. The best maps to use would definitely be the free range maps like the plains of eidolon.

Alright, fair warning? You're going to get a lot of people yelling at you for saying this.

 

 

Before that happens, Battle Royale wouldn't work for Warframe, for three main reasons.

1: Technical limitations. Warframes uses a Peer-2-peer system. This means that all players are going through another player's computer. That's a huge load on that PC, and what's worse, the person who's hosting may just leave when they die. There is architecture to sustain community-hosted dedicated servers, but...

2: PvP is unpopular. For whatever reason (including, but far from limited to a high skill floor), PvP is unpopular. PvP modes, unfortunately, kind of need big populations to stay popular. People don't like waiting in lobbies.

3: People also don't like their loot being irrelevant. This is already partially an issue in Conclave, where the player's mod collection is taken away, but in a Battle Royale game, the player's investment is worth nothing.

Actually Battle Royale games are in a decline as the market has become overly saturated with the genre.

Your idea of a Warframe Battle Royale isnt new, dozens of other players have posted the same idea before you and it remains a bad idea.

Warframe is Peer-To-Peer (P2P) , can you imagine how laggy players would be if they had to host for 31~63 other players at the same time in an Open World map like Plains? It would be unplayable and the Host would always be at a major advantage over other players.

I dont want DE spending resources and time in a game mode that is not the focus of the game nor will bring any actually benefit to it. They already take too long to release content these days.
