Total Excalibur Umbra Overhaul

Right now, Excalibur Umbra just feels like a reskin of Excalibur Prime, with the added ability of Sentience taked on and a reskin of the Radial Blind ability. Prime warframes are supposed to just be reskins, i know, but Umbra is not a normal prime warframe, and I think we'd be justified in making Excalibur Umbra operate differently from Excalibur Prime.

Anyway, onto the rework:

Passive 1: Sentience

Spoiler

Umbra exhibits sentience, allowing him to remain active in combat even when a player uses Operator form. His AI is significantly more advanced than that of a typical spectre, as it has a pathfinding system that allows him to move through a level the way many pro-players do, utilizing bullet jumps, wall climbing, and other mobility tricks that allows him to keep up with other players. There are also plenty of other elements about him, like the fact that he uses Stamina (Umbra's version of energy, see below) instead of cooldowns, that make him less like a specter and more like a fellow player.

Passive 2: Stamina

Spoiler

Instead of the usual energy, Umbra has 100 Stamina. This stamina meter is unaffected by mods that affect Max Energy or grant Energy Regeneration and is not affected by environments, objects, or abilities that normally restore or remove stamina. However, it does have inherent energy regeneration, which recovers energy at a rate of roughly 100 Stamina every 2 or 3 seconds.

Passive 3: Umbral Blade

Spoiler

Umbra's Exalted Blade (renamed to Umbral Blade) is no longer an Exalted Weapon. Rather, it's an equipable Melee weapon exclusive to Umbra that he automatically defaults to if no melee weapon is equipped, much like Garuda's Talons. It doesn't launch tidal waves of energy, but it can be thrown at an enemy, using the same mechanics as a glaive. The throw is end-over-end and only affects one target. However, it flies towards an enemy, hits them, and flies back all in a few blinks of an eye, with the same speed as the Slash Shift below.

Ability 1: Slash Shift

Spoiler

25 Stamina

Umbra dashes between enemies within a cone in front of him, cutting them down with his Umbral Blade at the end of each Dash. Unlike Slash Dash, there is no travel time; Umbra goes from standing to the end-point of the dash nearly instantly, and the Umbral Blade's slash is equally as quick.

Ability 2: Radial Howl

Spoiler

50 Stamina

Umbra unleashes a ferocious howl, shattering the resolve of nearby enemies and emboldening nearby allies. Enemy sentients within it's AoE are stripped of accumulated resistances, and non-sentient enemies run in mortal terror, to frightened to fight back against you if you choose to pursue. Allies within the AoE also recieve a buff that boosts damage output and attack speed.

Ability 3: Radial Slam

Spoiler

75 Stamina

Umbra leaps up into the air before slamming his Umbral blade down on the ground, doing considerable Slash and Impact damage to whomever the blade hits on the way down and knocking nearby targets off their feet. This attack opens affected targets up to finishers.

Ability 4: Storm Of Blades

Spoiler

100 Stamina

For a split second, Umbra slashes the Umbral Blade around his general vicinity with incredible speed, becoming the epicenter of a whirlwind of bladed death for 3 seconds. The attack culminates in a powerful ground slam that does massive impact damage and sends any enemies who survived all this flying. This ability is similar to Caliban's Razor Gyre ability, except it is instantaneous rather than sustained, and affects an area roughly the size of Excalibur's Radial Blind. For a rough approximation of what this looks like, see the attack of this Bujin from PSO2NGS at 1:12 to 1:20.

You're going to be incredibly shocked when you try a prime version of one of the other frames......  you'll find out that (for example) volt prime is just a reskin of the normal volt warframe....

Exclibur Umbra is basically a visually different version of the Excal Prime, a Chinese 'exclusive' to get around legal issues of excalibur prime.... which is essentially a reskin of excalibur prime which is already a reskin of excalibur...

As to the rest of the abilities, you can't just go changing the prime/umbra abilities so they're different to the stanard version, it's not how the game works.  A prime frame is essentially a skinned version of the non prime frame it's based on with a few stat tweaks and the ability to gain energy from orbs in the void (or sentience in the case of umbra).   Yes I know umbra has howl instead of blind but they're basically the same but added 'sentient' skills on umbra (removes any active damage resistances from Sentient units and Shadow Stalker within range) to fit it's theme.

Basically Prime/umbra do not get a physically different set of abilities to the other versions.

Yeah, we know, and we're fine with that, that's the point of Excalibur Umbra.

surprisingly, items that share the same base name will work the same... boy are you gonna be surprised when you learn that the 3 variants of the Hek work the same with only stat differences (and a new mode of fire on the Kuva version).
Also Umbra has a few differences besides Sentience to base Excal/Excal Prime. Like Umbra's howl wiping sentient/stalker immunities.

Plus, Umbra is meant to kinda be the equivalent to Excal Prime, as in China they have 'Excalibur Umbra Prime' as their version of Excal Prime, and generally he offers a free equivalent to Excal Prime to the players that weren't around at the time of Founders Pack to get him.
Changing his abilities would no longer make him Excalibur, it'd make him a different frame that just weirdly shares the Excalibur name, despite not being an Excalibur. Most people like how he is, he isn't in a position that needs changing.
