Depending on what you did with the "bad plat", if you've spent it on cosmetics etc, you can ask support to refund those purchases and hopefully get back into positive balance. (XBOX)sinamanthediva Posted May 21, 2022 Share Posted May 21, 2022 Doubtful DE will do anything, since the person accepted, then apparently spent the Platinum that was traded to them. Ultimately it's up to the person who is receiving the Platinum to make sure that the Plat is legit, which doesn't make sense but that is their standard policy. They recommend being weary of people offering above normal Platinum prices for items you may be selling as usually the Platinum was obtained through illegal/nefarious means. The problem is that it takes a day or two sometimes before DE finds out the Plat was not valid and by that time they have already used it with unsuspecting individuals such as the OP that created this topic. I am in no way casting judgement or blame upon the OP but generally speaking, DE puts the responsibility of making sure the Platinum you receive through trading was valid and legal. That's why they recommend NOT spending any large amounts of Platinum you get until it has a few days to process to make sure it isn't Bad Platinum. The OP needs to log a support ticket if they want a possible solution to their issue but realistically they probably won't do anything. The only thing that might help the OP in this situation is the fact they are 11 years old, MIGHT help but don't know if they care about age either, but it's worth a shot! It's an awful situation to realize that life is filled with scummy people and I am sorry that the OP is having to deal with this issue. Have a pleasant tomorrow! (PSN)haphazardlynamed Posted May 21, 2022 Share Posted May 21, 2022 hmmmh Imagine you're Support, for an M17 rated game and get a ticket from an 11yr old relating to Money issues (noted the Money/Plat aspect is a major reason WF is rated M17) I feel like in that situation, as Support I'd probably close the account permanently... safest way to keep own company out of trouble.
