Pressure Point Mod Fusion Question

Question

Have a question.

Last night I was running with Pressure Point +60% having used Fusion to combine 3 Pressure Point mods.

I found another Pressure Point +20% mod so I removed my +60% PP from my Cronus and tried to use Fusion to add the new mod (+20%) to the +60 PP however what I received in return was a +40% Pressure Point mod.

So what did I miss?  Can you only fuse mods if they are base +20%? (ie. 20%PP + 20%PP + 20%PP + 20%PP = the only way to get a +80% PP)

Thanks in advance.

Viro

You accidentally fused your higher level mod into the lower one.

For mod fusion it isn't equal exchange, and a common error for new players.

When fusing mods, you MUST select the higher level mod FIRST, this is the base mod that other mods get fused to to upgrade.

i.e. (Rank 3) + 4x (Rank 1) = (Rank 4)

But a (Rank 1) + (Rank 3) = (Rank 2).

Fusion order is very important, always select the highest level mod first.

Ok so as a standard rule of thumb ALWAYS select the mod you want to add another mod to first?  I had no idea, in my mind 60% + 20% = 80% and 20% + 60% = 80% (seems like simple math).

I assume there is a method to the madness?

P.S.

From the Wiki:

"When combining mods of the same type, always choose the higher level one first. Choosing the lower level mod first will result in a mod weaker than than you had originally."

This should be highlighted, bold, larger and in a different color! lol

Yes, you need to select the 60% mod FIRST and fuse it to the 20% in order to get the 80%.
