Railjack's pacing is kinda miserable.

A major problem with railjack is that not enough time is spent piloting the ship itself. Instead most of the time the player is doing all the chores while the NPC gets to have all the fun piloting the ship.

I understand that Railjack was made with player Co-op in mind and that the main idea was for each player to have a specific role but playing it solo with the NPCs stinks.

I just want to fly my space ship and blow up enemy ships but instead I'm forced to do all the ground missions I've already been doing for 90% of the game.

It's the warframe equivalent of being stuck inside doing homework while looking out the window and seeing all your friends having fun.

What's even worse is that when I do get to pilot the ship, it dosen't tend to last very long before I find myself having to run back and forth between the pilot seat and the forward artillery to blow up one pesky crew ship. In my opinion it really kills the flow of the action when I have to leave the pilot chair every 5 seconds to do the chores.

I totally agree, did a mission last night since I was in the mood for some RJ... All I did was fly to a big ship, go inside and shoot vents for 5 minutes and then fire the artillery . Completely killed any drive i had to continue on. 
At this rate i'll never clear the star-chart.

I do enjoy the 'taking over ships' and away crew vibe that Railjack brings, but I also agree there isn't enough variety, and some missions, especially Corpus Railjack, have too little of the ship.

 

One of the upsides of Railjack is how varied you could make the modes. But they only ever actually made two. Three if you count the five seconds apiece you played Railjack in Scarlet Spear way back when.

This is how I feel exactly. Railjack has a lot of potential for new game modes, especially ones that don't require you leave the ship.

A mode where you have to defend a relay from grineer attack would be cool, it would also be cool if you had to defend ships trying to escape during evacuation. Things like that.

Railjack as a whole definitely feels unfinished however I think a lot of this can be chalked down to DE wanting to release everything that we were shown at Tennocon 2019.

They said in one of their dev streams that it was time for them to deliver on the things that they've shown before revealing their plans for other new content. Now that duviri has been released, I do hope this means they will do more things Railjack or at least revise it.

i'll always want more cool flying and maneuvers in my Gamemode about flying and maneuvers, indeed.

the Stations/Objectives are things that i tolerate the existence of, not actually desire being common in the Gamemode.
there's other games that share a fair number of similarities with Railjack, and they feature a lot more of the flying stuffs, which is the main featureset of that style/Genre, so it makes sense for that to be the overwhelming majority of what you do in Gameplay.

I enjoy RJ mission until DE shove common mission (Survival, Defense,etc) on the Corpus Mission. Not only that you can't extract without your allies, it's annoying and didn't add anything new.

The only mission DE need to rework are Orphix mission. There's no way you can reach Rotation C (Arcane reward) without dedicated group. Even on the lowest node (venus proxima).

You can get Common Arcane just from killing Terralyst faster. Or Legendary Arcane less than 15 minute with dedicated group. Plus the Corpus Tileship are too restrictive for void sling. It's a CAPITAL SHIP. A corridor area on Zariman is better to navigate than this.

I honestly don't mind that the normal missions are accessible via Railjack.

Railjack Survival makes me feel like a space pirate. Weakening a capital ship, taking out its escort then infiltrating it to raid it for supplies.

Violate is also one of my favorites. Both make really cool additions to Railjack, I just wish there were missions that focused more on the space combat side of things, where I can fly my Railjack for long durations of time without worrying about leaving the pilot seat or my ship.
