KewlJo
I was trying to test some damage stuff and then I noticed that ALL of my damage was showing as Crits. I thought that was weird and started messing with the color hud settings. I ruled out that it was definitely displaying it as Crits, however, the damage numbers were still correct (the number being 90 instead of 180). All of this is while the AI was paused. I unpaused the AI and it went back to normal. If I paused the AI after they had been roaming, the correct colors would still display. Killing all the enemies and putting new ones in there with the Ai paused cause the original issue to pop back up. Didn't see how far this extended to other types of damage (orange or red crits), but thought it might be something to look into. Resetting the entire game did not fix the problem. rapt0rman
Enemies count as unalerted with AI turned off, so you get a stealth bonus when meleeing them.
Tiltskillet
The same color used to indicate crits is also used to indicate hits that qualify for the melee stealth damage multiplier. The latter of which is what you'll get with every hit done on enemies spawned with their AI paused.
ScOoT10303
Seems that in the options the enhanced damage numbers settings removes non crits if there are to many damage numbers on the screen at the same time
