Will the US guild actor strike affect the development of updates, specifically 1999?
Good afternoon. It was recently reported that the US Actors Guild has announced a strike against video game companies - amid the overuse of AI in development. According to the director of the guild's union the strikes will affect all actors of the following studios:
- Activision Productions Inc,
- Blindlight LLC,
- Disney Character Voices Inc,
- Electronic Arts Productions Inc,
- Formosa Interactive LLC,
- Insomniac Games Inc,
- Llama Productions LLC,
- Take 2 Productions Inc,
- VoiceWorks Productions Inc,
- WB Games Inc.

Specialists from the above studios will not be able to take part in the creation of video games, recording lines and character movements, until the strike is over.

In connection with all this information we would like to know the following: will this strike affect the quality and timing of development of updates for Warframe, in particular 1999?

1) You already listed the companies it will affect and DE isn't there.

2) Voice Acting is usually recorded many months -> a year before an updates release

3) DE isn't American

4) Most Voice Actors also wouldn't be American and wouldn't be affiliated with the US Actors Guild.

DE is based in Canada

It's possible some voice actors they like could be unavailable, but that's about the only possibility and the rest of their operation will be completely unaffected
