Cobalt313
I made a sound of inhuman glee when I saw that picture move. Just when I thought your designs couldn't get more awesome. But yeah, for some reason I envision this thing not bouncing very much, like it has a long throw distance but always pretty much comes straight back to you afterward. (PSN)GR13V4NC3
NoDisco "lol" messaged me yesterday about a Tomahawk desigh. Which sounded awesome so i got to work. NOW, before anyone starts calling me a genius im not. i have to state, the the collapsible design of this weapon was taken from and actual modern product. this design is really a culmination.. of actual axes and took visual cues from the Zoren weapons in game. That being said i still think this is awesome. My only regret is that I couldn't get more or the traditional Native American design in without it feeling too tacky. the weapon's spirit remains though in my opinion. This is meant to be a Puncture weapon, great for splitting Grineer armor! the forward point of the blade is elongated and the handle moved back to increase the chances of the blade finding its way into someones chest when thrown >D So I'm really torn as to this weapons classification though. it was intended to be a secondary like the throwing knives. you would gain massive puncture damage while sacrificing flight speed, and ammo capacity. using a mixture of my own idea and NoDisco's original thread here:https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/112947-suggestion-throwable-primary-tomahawks/?hl=tomahawk. the mechanics would work like this. the collapsed axes would holster on the left leg only, with a magazine of three "cause the axes are much bigger". when the weapon is at the ready you would have an ax in both hands, leaving one holstered. firing ( 1. right hand throws the first ax. 2.off hand passes the next ax, then grabs a third from the holster. 3. repeat once more. 4. mag reloads.) get it? if you act out the motions it actually feels like a lot of fun. and would look really cool. "ONE, TWO, THREE, YOUR DEAD! HOWEVER, after coming up with the intricacy of this design i suddenly felt a conflict building in my mind. what if this were a melee weapon? a puncture counterpart to Glaive and Kestral? higher base damage, but slower flight. and its return could be like Thor summoning his hammer. It just zips straight back to you hand. Using regular attacks you could chop Grineer to little bits!........tough choice no? Enjoy....need to get around to some European weapons I know. my other designs Kanabo https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/145879-tenno-kanabo-weapon-design/#entry1728200 Katana https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/142876-a-katana-weapon-please/#entry1693952 Gladius https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/144837-grineer-gladius-sword/#entry1716417 Guan Dao https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/144980-infested-chinese-guan-dao/#entry1718013 Bastard Sword https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/147900-batard-sword-design/ Mace/Flail https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/148539-grineer-maceflail/ My DA page. http://revincproductions.deviantart.com/ I like this as a newer, glaive/kestrel, dual melee/thrown weapon. I think it should fold up and sit in the small of the back of the frame like a smaller dual zoren/dual fang. When thrown it should be one at a time but fast and the first axe should be on its way back by the time the second is released so as to look like the frame is juggling axes. Fury, etc, speeds up this timing.

(PSN)GR13V4NC3
Dual Throwable Melee Weapon I want it. Thank you for your kudos! I know I'm awesome, just joking... but not really :D But seriously, I have a weapon submission in the new melee contest thread, the Tenno Plasma/Laser Javelin. Please take a look and upvote it if you like it. Thanks for reading! Edited December 30, 2013 by (PS4)GR13V4NC3
DeejayPwny
Likely been noted, don't feel like reading all posts right now, but it has pokeballs all over it :p Anyway, nicely done concept
Zoig
I feel like this would make a good throw able melee, but the return would look rather silly if it just teleported or magnetized back. I feel like it would look good if it had a cord attached somewhere, and when it hit something it would stick for a second before the tenno pulls it back. after all, if a tenno can catch a deadly spinning blade in mid air, they could probably catch a returning tomahawk. RocketPenguinMan
I'd love to see this as a melee weapon. Having two thrown weapons would let you throw one, and then hack things with the other. I hate it when I throw my glaive and end up in a massive clump without a melee weapon. Love the idea, I'd definitely use it in game.
Beas7ie
IF this gets put in game. I'm going to demand Dual Tomahawk so we don't get that dumped on us after investing in the first. OR make it huge like in the last of the mohicans : That's plain badass. Edit: If it were the heavy tomahawk (the big one) version, this could be the first Heavy Thrown Melee weapon. Like the Glaive or Kestrel, but hits harder and slower and multiple targets? So normal melee swings, but then charged you do an overheard throw of the Tomahawk? Thats a gunstock warclub. Not a tomahawk
DAttila
I think they should have a very low ammo count (thinking 4 in total), but the axes you throw would fly back to you after impacting their target. Also, as they fly back to you, they return folded, and work a little like an inverse Kestrel, knocking down enemies that are in their way and dealing minor Impact damage. They could be aimed and thrown just like how the glaives currently work, although these would need to be much, much quicker to throw. In summation, I think they could work best as a melee weapon with a silent throwable capability and the first melee weapon to feature an ammo count for throwability. Hunter126
that..looks.......AMAZING!!! I really like the design and it would be cool to see that animation in the air, like a little sharp slam to an enemy +1 x1000(if I could)
mayhemzen
I like this as a thrown melee, and as an alternative to the stealth thrown weapons. instead of throwing a bunch of light damage weapons like the kunai, this would be one at a time and hard hitting. either way the art and concept are awesome
