The Lotus has to guide a cell of four Tenno through the map safely. You have four skills, each of which can be used indefinitely but have a cooldown. The entire screen consists of the minimap. Each Tenno has HP, ammo and energy. HP is lost when attacked, ammo is lost when used and energy is lost when abilities are used. These can all be restored by guiding a Tenno to a support drone you've deployed or to a container.

The Tenno will only follow the objective if it is clicked and held on your screen.

 

Each Tenno can be in a specific mode:

- Rush mode, which makes the single Tenno forget the squad and run ahead to the objective, attracting enemies but taking little damage.

- Defend mode, causing the Tenno to move to a point you specify and stay guard there, immediately attacking any enemies within range.

- Assault mode, where the Tenno slowly progresses through the field to the objective, attempting to kill any units they come across.

- Stealth mode, where the Tenno will be quiet, fast and only use stealthy weapons and abilities to get to the objective.

- Follow mode, where the Tenno follows your mouse.

 

Enemies will move through the map similar to the Tenno, also being guided and supported by an operator. If they spot a Tenno, they will rush for the alarm and then attack the Tenno. If the Tenno are attacked unalerted, they will take substantial damage. Use your first skill to prepare Tenno for incoming enemies.

 

Abilities can be used indefinitely but are based upon a cooldown:

 

#1 - Units Incoming

Alerts the Tenno of incoming units and prepares them for it. 2 second cooldown.

 

#2 - Objective Pointer

Locates the objective on your map, which must then be clicked and held for Tenno to move to it. Lasts 30 seconds, 5 second cooldown.

 

#3 - Support Drones

Spawns a weak support drone wherever you click, which will then become another unit in the party until killed. Carries ammo, energy and health to the Tenno, but does not attack. May occasionally bring weapons or sentinels, but rarely. 10 second cooldown.

 

#4 - Strong Decoy

Spawns a decoy wherever you click with 2k HP. It attracts all enemies within range and does not regenerate HP or attack enemies. It can be healed by drones.

20 second cooldown.

 

The game is lost if all Tenno die. In captures, the game is lost if the target gets to extraction. Survival, if all life support is drained. Defense/mobile defense, if the terminal/pod is destroyed.
