Morgax
Rebecca ;) Nay, naming after DE staff is a bit creepy for me. I mean imagine cat called Skree running around looking at me with pure hatred.

BuriedShadows
OMG LOL someone plays Skyrim *highfive* I laughed Harder than I should have at Mai'q :D Mist, Boneclaw,Shredder..... I think of funny names lol. My best advice for you would be that once you get the cat observe his/her personality, colors, habits etc. and pick a name off of that. for example my family named our cat Smokey because his coloring was dark grey and black and white, and he has a sneaky personality. :)

Vargras
Not to rain on anyone's parade, but most of these names aren't that great for a pet. Ideally, you want to keep a name for a cat or dog to two syllables or less. It's easier for them to understand and makes them more likely to follow commands. I like Nyx for a name, though. Only one syllable too.

Morgax
Ma'iq. Flipping brillaint. Do it. As for a female, how about: Ophelia Chant to Green Surreal Brütal Legend i assume Halo no idea here Vargras made a good point though, 1-2 syllables names sound more reasonable. Plus screaming SURREAL when you want to find your cat does sound silly.

Plus screaming SURREAL when you want to find your cat does sound silly. Um, no, the first one is actually my character's name from Skyrim. I thought of it from Hamlet. Gj on the Halo reference! Third one is from Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop. Ok, 1-2 syllables, let's see. How about Queen Alfsigr, Allie for short.
