Well as long as you don't write something like wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww for the description and you take a few minutes to write one or two coherent sentences, it works for me. The most important is to make an effort, mainly because other users will read what you have written.

It only seems to happen if I put another polarity in before changing the D polarity.

I changed the D polarity to blank right at the start, and it gained a Forma star.

Then, I reset the loadout and placed a V polarity before changing the D polarity to blank.  It only gained 1 Forma star, as opposed to the 2 it should have had.

Hope that helps a bit.

I think it's normal behavior, it's part of the last update. Adding a V and removing the D is like changing the D to a V then switching the V to another slot, like you can do in game. So it's only 1 forma used.

Well I improved the system many times and I keep secret some of the mechanics, so I think there's no post explaining exactly how it works, I explained in multiple posts. Here's what I can tell about the system.

-You can get up to 5 popularity points each day for each build.

-3 points from simple visits on your build

-2 additional points also based on visits, but with a more complex mechanic.

-Each day the popularity is divided by 2 to ensure that builds are popular over the time, so the maximum popularity a build can have is just below 10.

-You can get popularity points from each visitor 1 time / day (unless visitors are cheating, but they won't cheat for so long)

The best advice if you want to get popularity, is to make good builds where people will spend some time, and share them across different websites.

0 : The compatible mods. Drag and drop a mod to equip. You can exchange one mod with another mod already equipped.

1 : Use the dropdown menu to sort the mods.

2 : Type a name here to filter the mods by name.

3 : Leads you back to the list of Warframes or weapons

4 : Resets the current build. A confirmation window will show up.

5 : Opens the search window to search for saved builds.

6 : Opens the save window, to save your build for the community. You must be logged to save a build. If you are viewing one of your builds, it opens the edit window.

7 : Exports your build as a link, in order to retrieve it later.

8 : The popularity of the build, it indicates how much the build has been viewed compared to others.

9 : The name of the build and the author. Will only be displayed if the build is saved in the database. If you click this, a window with the description of the build will pop up.

A : Click this icon to add or remove an Orokin reactor or catalyst. By default it's set to use a Orokin reactor or catalyst.

B : Click on this icon then on an unused slot to change its polarity. A new window will show up, click the new polarity that you want.

C : Click this icon to report a build as incorrect. You'll only see this icon if you are logged, if you are viewing a saved build, and if it's not one of your builds.

D : Click the number to change the rank of your Warframe or weapon. By default it's set to 30.

E : Number of Formas needed for the build. It supports polarity switch.

F : Click here to display a report about your Warframe or weapon. If you are viewing a Warframe, you'll see how the mods affect your stats and your skills. If you are viewing a weapon, you'll see how your damage are against each faction.

G : You can manually set a rate of fire. This is used mainly to have more accurate results with semi-automatic weapons if you can't click fast enough to reach the maximum fire rate.

H : Resets the fire rate to its original value.

I : When you tick a box like this one, your damage will be affected by the effect which the checkbox refers to. You can do that for the critical value, the multishot, and the damage against a faction (bane mods).

J : If you and your team are using mods that affect your damage, like Rifle Amp, simply edit this value to add the bonus from the mods to your damage.

K : Sets the mod to its max rank.

L : Adds a rank at the mod.

M : Remove a rank at the mod.

N : Sets the mod to rank 0.

O : If the weapon has a charged attack, you'll see this link. Click it to change the stats displayed to the charged stats. If you are viewing a Warframe, you'll have a link to change the helmet. Simply click the helmet that you want in the window that will pop up.

P : Double-click on a mod to remove it. You can also switch two equipped mods.

Q : These stats are the average damage you'll do with your weapon. The total damage is the damage from 1 shot. The burst DPS is the damage per second that your weapon will inflict when you are firing without stopping. The sustained DPS is the damage per second that your weapon will inflict considering the magazine size and the reload speed.

R : Drag and drop the slider to scroll the list of the mods. If your mouse cursor is over the slider, you can also use the mousewheel. If you use the arrows, the list will move one page up or down (9 mods).

S : Set all mods from the list to rank max

T : Set all mods from the list to rank min

Hope it helps :D

Eh, a lot of builds use non-maxxed mods, and clicking the top up arrow isn't hard at all. I think a better idea to encourage account creation/use and making build creation easier would be to have an account option that starts builds at lvl 30, with a potato, and with forma activated.

I don't remember banishing anyone, sounds like a bug. Gimme a minute.

Edit : You are not banned. So it's a bug, I'll fix that asap. We deleted 1 of your builds, but that's way not enough to ban someone lol.

Edit 2 : Should work now. All the users who had a build deleted have seen their account as banned, which was a terrible bug. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well people are lazy and are using the save function to save anything. I don't think I can do something for that, it won't change. But I can of course add your idea on the to-do list, that's not that difficult to implement.

The current heuristics appear to heavily weight to newer builds even if they are significantly less optimal than older builds.  This doesn't really appear to achieve any of the goals you mentioned for fixing voting and popularity.  I'm not saying you should bring back voting, exactly, but it seems like the current heuristics should be leavened by something additional data from registered accounts to try to bring more signal to the noise.  Maybe something like each registered account can have 3 votes to spend on other people's builds and has to withdraw a vote before casting a fourth.  More like "favorites" than votes.

Well the system is 1 week old, that's a bit early I guess to draw conclusions. I started deleting builds only 2 days ago, which will help the system when  I'll start deleting more and more builds, and I'm also working on a last feature which will help the good builds to reach the popularity they deserve, at least for a time. I'll be able to mark a build as a 'good build', and you'll see that in the list (maybe a star before the name). So you'll know when a build has been approved by Warframe Builder (me or another person helping managing the builds), and it'll also push the build to the top of the list to get more visits and more popularity.
