Warframe Lore Speculation : Is The Neural Sentry "god" And Is The Void "heaven"

The gold on ships and weaponry are probably plated.

If they are made of pure gold, then most likely the Repear Prime handle would have been deformed already from Tenno holding the weapon to slice enemies.

The handle would fare better than the blade. Tempered *rubidium* - as in the incredibly soft, very alkaline material that catches fire and potentially explodes if it touches water. Assuming the blade doesn't just splatter across the armour/cloth/unprotected flesh of the enemies, it'll burn immediately the moment it penetrates the enemy... along with giving them a very nasty corrosive proc.

You forget the other thing:

Rubidium is so radioactive to the point that if a observable mass is obtained, it will instantly vaporise itself due to the sheer heat produced from the radiation decay.

EDIT: I meant Francium.

I really doubt the Orokin use living metals to make the Towers/ships.

The Forma states that it is shape-alerting, but that does not mean it is made of living metal, but could simply alter the shape of constructs when Forma is applied.

And since pure gold is very, very malleable, along with the fact that Forma is gold-coloured and is shape-altering, this led me to infer that the Forma is made of pure gold, or 95% gold with a few other metals mixed into it. The Forma is then used with other, more rigid metals to make the metal more malleable but harden back to its initial rigidness after a set period of time, with a gold plate on the metal during the hardening process. Thus, that technically means that the gold is plated onto the metal.

It's pretty much certain IMHO that Forma is the gold material and that Forma is based on the living metal of Dark Sector.

From the flavour text on forma:

This shape-altering component is fundamental to Orokin construction.

From Devstream 10 regarding Dark Sector:

Warframe takes place waaay beyond that timeframe. Ridiculously after, If you can imagine something like that, something that integrates itself with the body or could be re-purposed as technology this idea of metal that is also alive and changeable and so on, and the way it channels energy, this is deja vu, but we talked about, when we talked about a sequel ages ago we were talking about taking a big leap forward in time and saying "what were the societal repercussions of this idea"

The Orokin are described as being "cold and gold" and it's been confirmed that Oro-kin is descriptive and means "Gold People" Which makes sense in terms of Dark Sectors "living metal" coating those who were "infected"

Maybe it uses gold-metal nano-particles to shape conductive tracks, there are a thousand possible reasons. But the end result is the same Forma is coloured gold and is the basis for Orokin Tech, it is the Gold we see.

My interpretation of "Gold People" means that the Orokin like to wear regal, or gold-laced garments, either in ceremonies or in battle, and also use Forma in construction, with the Forma altering metal in the same mechanism as my post in #25.

I do not think the Orokin would want themselves coated with Technocyte, as it is stated that the transformation is painful and can drive people insane. Better to wear gold-laced clothing/armour than actually be coated in gold living metal. As for the Tenno, they are just experiments from the Void to see if the Technocyte would help the Orokin turn the tide in the battle against the Sentients.

The Warframes use 20th century concepts in their design, given that the Orokin era is set many years after a total eco collapse on our Earth (due to the technocyte virus in Dark Sector as per the pre-codex lore pages) it's reasonable to assume that the Orokin have existed since that time as the likelyhood of social concept like "pirate" continuing over a gap of thousands of years without a populous to convey it is minimal. This also fits their design ethos (Luxurious, opulent rather than alien) and the comments the devs made about the DS-era technocyte living metal being turned into a technology. The Orokin are most likely the semi-immortal survivors of the Technocyte Apocalypse who turned that living metal into a technology.

This is why they rule, they know everything and their vassal humanity know nothing.

We have _nothing_ that currently connects the Tenno and the Technocyte virus, only the materials used to construct the Warframes. The Void-power mentioned in the Excalibur and Ember codex is completely different. Regardless of the infection that Hayden Tenno had the armour he was was a separate construct.

The transformation with the raw virus _was_ painful, but that is why DE was talking about the "living metal" being studied and converted into a technology.

It also makes the Warframes make sense, the Orokin could have given that armor to anyone but without the warping power of the Void the Sentients would simply subvert the technology rendering it useless. The tech used in the prime warframes is only a tiny step away from what the Orokin used to make themselves immortal. Which also explains what the Orokin feared the Tenno as they were becoming heroes to the people and supplanting Orokin worship and control, after all, they looked just as inhuman and just as inscrutable. Which led to the Orokin trying to create a replacement by making new mindless soldiers in the infestation from the original technocyte virus. When the Tenno discovered this they rebelled and destroyed the Orokin and everything of the Infestation they could find, then went into cryo, however they missed lephantis, hiding in a secret Orokin facility. All current infestation are descended from that entity, that the Tenno missed.

It must be this order as we have flavor text from the ether bladed (A Tenno, not Orokin weapon) that indicates the Tenno fighting the infestation before they went into cryo but after the fall of the Orokin (Non of the lore about the Sentients war mentions the Infestation and the lotus briefing about lephantis indicates that is was never "deployed" by the Orokin.)
