Do People Still Use Shotguns During "end-Game" Content?

...and how viable are they when you pass 1hr in Survival and such?

I ask this because in the 4 months I've remained active since I stopped somewhere during close-beta, I have never seen anyone bring a shotgun to Survivals and Defense missions. All I really see are rifles and bows.

Boar Prime can be viable with its status chance. I brough mine up to 95% with multishot and the 3 event mods. but other than it i don't think so

Shotguns and Snipers have not been given the love and attention that rifles have recieved...yet...snipers are next

Which is why I bring my Tigris. Double barrelled shotgun trumps a stupid sounding Soma any day.

I still use my Boar Prime for long term infested survivals. It's capable against lvl100 enemies.

 

What really matters in those sorts of games is group composition, not so much what weapons you use.

i can only see a boar prime sometimes, but the only viable ones are boar prime and strun wraith, there are others but they are definitely not shotguns... (talking about dragoon and the tentacle gun)
