Otherwise known as kind of punch through but technically no.

It does physical ragdoll damage instead of actual punch through. Same applies for the bolto

Like they said ragdoll... Personally I'd advise using shred (not metal auger) on all of your boltor builds

I wouldn't add shred/metal auger. I would rather add more damage since the knockback is enough imo.

Ragdoll effects are not punch through.  

 

You can kill multiple enemies with flying bodies (and it never gets old) but the benefit from actual punch through is shooting through hard cover to kill enemies.

and hitting entire groups at once, as that's also very useful. or in a pinch, being able to hit a problem Enemy that might be sheltered behind other Enemies at the given time.

It serves a similar function if you use it due to overwhelming hordes. The resulting ragdoll effect of bolt weapons removes corpses quickly so you can mow down the enemies behind the ones you just killed. It's pretty darn useful if you're not already using punch through.
