Male And Female Warframes

What I meant was that they dont actually want us to have both genders of one frame^^

Besides that. Unfortunatly I know how much work it is xD I am a modder and create custom content using 3ds max and such stuff. Lots of work xD But well. Maybe thats just my opinion since I work on stuff for some hours without a result sometimes >.<

I prefer male chars over female ones. But I dont see why this game makes it less satisfying just because I cant play my wonderful nyx as a male ^^

Venarge, no disrespect, but you obviously DON'T know how they could easily impliment a skin for a different gender Warframe, nor have the developers said they outright WOULDN'T do it.

Scott had said he had CONSIDERED the possibility, but not put it down completely.

Also, in order for them to make a new female/male skin for a warframe, all they need to do is take the basic skeleton for the respective warframe, then re-size the outer body accordingly, along with adding/deleting parts on the suit to make it look right. It's not as much work as you try and make it out to be, and considering the developers are able to design a warframe, mock it up, test it, and make the final product in almost less than a month, it would be simple doings for them to make a skin, as half of the work is already done (the main design, and mock up).

As Necrokhan had said, all you seem to do is say the 'The devs don't want to' or 'It's not possible', where those quotes are not entieryly true. It is possible, and the dev's have not said a deffinitive no yet.

Ontop of all that, the storyline of the game plays no role in the genders of the Tenno. Tenno are male and female, and can specialise in using any type of Warframe. Warframes are supposed to be body fitting exosuits, therefore, it would make sense for female tenno to be wearing female warframes, and male tenno to be wearing male warframes.

Scott said many times in different livestreams that he doesnt want gender swaps.

How do you know that genders dont play a role? You have no clue about the story at all. So why assume something you dont know anything about....

And well. Since I work with 3d programs myself, its not that easy to simply make an existing model and add breasts/remove them....

the thing they think about is adding an opposite frame of every existing one. Embers male form will be Blaze for example. They want to add a personality to every frame. And personality doent come from breasts alone. They have to make a complete different design to make them look like their original theme, but different enough to not make it look like a simple copy. Sorry but that is not as easy as people want it to be.....

You are again wrong. Scott never said he didn't want gender swaps, all the Devs said IT IS UNDER DISCUSSION. That does not mean no.

How can you accuse me of not knowing the story of Warframe, when you clearly don't either. The Tenno are ancient beings from Humanity, and are both male and female, so the story is no excuse. I have provided more evidence of knowing what a Warframe is and what the Tenno are than you have, so you can't say squat

Also, I have worked with 3D programs myself, and again, it isn't as hard as you try and make it out to be.

From the looks of it, you are pretty sexist about the whole thing, constantly saying you prefer male characters over females,

I, like many others before me, would love a female Rhino. And male Trinity, but that's just me.

And besides, I would really like to know what's causing the vehement opposition from the playerbase. I'm quite sure that letting people have the option to pick what gender they want to appear as won't hurt anyone, right? If anything, it will provide revenue for the devs should they make it cash-only. The argument that it will take development resources away is kind of silly, as they can just do this slowly in-between developing the more important parts of the game. I'm sure that most of us who would like this feature wouldn't mind waiting until the game is out of beta.

Besides, It's hard to see the existing frames as characters when they're so shrouded in mystery (and that there are multiple copies of each frame running around at the same time), and for some people it's easier to see that a fixed player character is equipping different frames. This option will greatly increase their immersion.

I think the question is, are the warframes characters or avatars? If they're characters (like tf2 or Vindictus classes) then gender options would be a bad idea. If they're nameless suits, then a gender option is more palatable. It's really up to DE to expand the lore a bit and decide this.

You should watch the first few livestreams. There it was asked and Scott said that he doesnt like the idea.

And me being a sexist? Please, dont make me laugh.....

I play both. male and female. I like every character the way it is. Yeah. Whenever I had the idea for a new frame, it was a male one. I like to play males, but also have not a single problem playing females. So your sexism argument fails....hard.

The Warframes are just Avatars. The Character is the Tenno, which is supposed to be you, so being able to personalise your Warframe if you male/female, along with the colouring just gives greater customisability for players

I think it is bad that people do not want the game to develop in to something better, I do want to compare WarFrame to other MMOs (Blizzard) and RPG (BioWare) games because if the Digital Extremes WarFrame dev team want to make a multi A game then they can not leave things left half done. Now if they can release new melee weapons with new animation why is then so hard to make animation for genders, one for male and one for female? And I do not even see if  there any difference in animation between a female and male warframe as game is now. If Digital Extremes actually want us to immerse in to the game they should listen to animaaduro.

If they were to have all frames be available to both genders, they'd also have to come up with new names for some of them since the names for many are decidedly either male or female.

Unless the names for each warframe instead become the names of various classes of warframes: Rhino Class, Nyx Class, Mag Class, etc. rather than the name of the frame itself.

I think that The Tenno didn't have genders. Even inside a "girl" warframe there is someone without boobs. When i do def missions and look inside the container with a still sleeping Tenno there are only male figures without genitals so they have no sex. I personally think that the Tenno are genetically engineered and copied around to be solders using warframes. So there are no girl/boy tenno they are just Tenno.

Kohira (https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/27051-male-and-female-warframes/page-2#entry246287) mentioned different names for male and female warframes and I agree that give different name for all is a good idea and it is not that hard,

for example:

Ash > Kunoichi.

Banshee (hard to give a male name) > Wraith.

Excalibur > Caliburn (plenty of old names).

Frost > Snow, Ice.

loki > Eris.

Ember > Scorch, Flame.

Mag > Gauss

Nyx > Erebus

Rhino > Hippo, Elephant (I jest)

Saryn > Soman

Trinity > Asclepius, Heka

Varuban > ???

Volt > Amp, Tesla

Some name morfing is a good idea to give WarFrame a little unique look (If you have better names for each warframe put it in this forum trade).
