So I've seen alot of guides and alot of talk about secondary weapons. Some think they are useless and aren't used, other think they are amazing and work better than some primary weapons. I wanna know what you guys think and if you think secondaries are worth it, which ones and why?

The weapon with the single highest DPS in the game is a secondary. 

 

They're very useful. In many cases it's faster to switch to a secondary than to reload a primary, and quite a few of them can hit harder than said primaries.

I mainly use Akzani outside of void missions.

 

Haven't found a primary that sits well with me enough to use all the time.

The Brakk can out preform most primaries, as can the Marelok. Angstrum can be a pocket Ogris. Tysis and Nukor are status beasts. Despair is silent and very deadly. Akbolto can be insane with macro. So they are very worth it. It just depends on what kind of weapon you want to use to supplement your primary gun.

People who say that secondaries are useless and not used have just never tried them before owo or are stuborn.

2 forma+potato Castanas are great for defense missions, crowd control, even stealth ;)  Sure, you will hit yourself sometimes but electro-bombing running enemies as well as allies is priceless.

 

Twin Vipers and Gremlins are very solid choice, shoot with bursts

 

Angstrum is a monster but hard to handle

 

Some fancy headshots with secondary, if you do go for Lex/Magnus/Vasto

 

Stay away from Cestra, Bronco, Nukor
