I find that logitech works excellently, until you need to use their "Logitech Gaming Software." I have 2 G devices, and they get kinda funny when the program misbehaves, I am actually going to be replacing them with different devices (still logitech) and sent back the headset I had gotten from them that was a G series device, as it did not work well directly because of the driver program. It's a smidge above low budget, but it's really quite good, also USB. There's also this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826140142 I can't vouch for the second, but newegg reviews seem pretty positive. Uses a 4-pole 3.5mm jack so it may not be compatible with all computers (because most computers have headphone and microphone jacks separate).
