Pavelord
Remember that the proto armor Predates the Orokin Era Other term used in codex I believe in Mag entry, it also mentions the Void Era. I´m guessing the Void era came first, the period of darkness to the orokin where their reason and science failed, tennos got aflicted here, further studies dechiper the secrets of the void and led the orokin to their golden age the Orokin Era from which we inherit all void technology we have now (warframes, mods cards, forma, morphics, solar rail, void cloaking). Predating the Orokin era not necesarily means the period of Hayden Tenno. Origin of the Infestation doesn´t add up, if Orokin derelicts are actually the place where the technocyte virus was developed, as it would have been developed during the orokin era and not on Hayden time period. TankHunter678
Origin of the Infestation doesn´t add up, if Orokin derelicts are actually the place where the technocyte virus was developed, as it would have been developed during the orokin era and not on Hayden time period. It can be thought that the technocyte virus from Hayden's time was eventually driven to near extinction, or isolated, leading to the Orokin to eventually rediscover it and then commence creating/engineering a more controllable strain that was deployed against the Sentients. After the downfall of the Orokin the virus eventually just simply evolved to the point we know it today. Converting biomass into the organic/synthetic mess we have to deal with on a regular basis. Campaigner
Hayden probably just became a hero that the Tenno came to model themselves after. The Dojo Founder, if you will.
Kartumterek
Think of Master Chief. Him and the other Spartans of the Spartan 2 program were patterned after the Spartans of the Greek City-State of Sparta to be the Elite Soldiers of the human race. The Tenno are similar. They were patterned off of Hayden once the Orokin figured out how to utilize the people who were altered by the void and the technocyte virus like Hayden was. This was long after Hayden was already dead. hate to tell you this but Hayden isnt dead
Latronico
Maybe I grammar'd correctly. Anywho, now that it's all but confirmed -- https://warframe.com/news/tenno-language-decoded OMG I'm crying. Finally some nerdy lore. FINALLY. Now they just have to remove that damned English from Corpus and Grineer dialogues for a real complete immersion into the game atmosphere.

Morec0
I think that any sort of actual physical connection between Hayden Tenno and our current Tenno is non-existent. I think Hayden Tenno is a myth (well, a myth that existed but still treated as a myth) in the eyes of the Tenno race and culture. He's something of a divine figure, or least a demigod one. If I recall the words say "I'm sorry, Hayden" or "Hayden, I owe you" - to which I speculate that there is some sort of "original sin" paradigm for them, they feel like they have some kind of debt to repay. Ionus
hate to tell you this but Hayden isnt dead Unless he went the way of Walt Disney and froze himself for a few millennia, I doubt he's still alive in the context of Warframe.
ElHefe
@ TankHunter687 ... nice way of putting it together, rather like a "homage within a homage"
