After that, you'll have a very short time to make sure you're situated before we jump into Frontier Space. It is preferred that you get your character into a good position before the punch through the Rail, because the ship will be going on alert for Infested threats as soon as the jump is made. For a moment he thought he'd trawl he ships sim archives, bring up Verdun or Singapore circa 2019, then he remembered. He still had to not only set his stuff up in his quarters, but go and see if he could make some acquaintances in the rest of the ship! He cursed at no one in particular and went to the staircase to the crew deck. ________________________________ The Specters had left his baggage at the entrance to his quarters, so Khaldun swooped down to grab that up and went in. He popped open the footlocker at the foot of his pop-down bed, and began taking things out of his suitcase. The Kronen were both large and fragile, so he had to use the storage box the things came in to make sure they didn't get crushed. Khaldun knew that the fighting style had not been replicated once throughout the history of combat; only the Tenno had been audacious enough to try them out. They were, after all, only really practical with a Tenno's speed and strength. Khaldun didn't think that bearing a Synoid Gammacor onboard would be a problem, as Suda had insisted on partitioning herself to create the ship's tricephalon. They could have used a regular one, but she had threatened to detonate a Void-pocket in Vesper if she didn't get the job. Even so, he set the power level on low and the function on scan, not "kill", then demagnatized the three energy nodules and put them side-by-side. Finally, he took out his Sybaris. He'd detached the barrel from the magnetic disc where ammo was stored already, so he put that on the bottom of the footlocker, then popped the disc open, putting the two halves right side up between the actual magazine ring where bullets were loaded. The butt and the actual trigger mechanism were left intact on top of all those weapons. Now what did he do? Truth was, he hadn't a clue. Emphasis added. I think this is an issue, STMPD. Nothing's been suggested that Suda is involved in this at all, let alone to the extent that partitioning herself would indicate. Everything involved with the threat to the solar rail is off-character for everyone involved, too; why would Suda suggest such violence? Why would she be capable of it? Why would she think threats would convince the Lotus and her subordinates to let her come? Why would the Lotus and co. bow to that demand? Who would trust a cephalon with the ship and safety of everyone on it, when they're willing to threaten such an action? I'd point out these issues even if the GM wrote this. Since you aren't, though, that raises another one. Even aside from the question that, if this was true, how would your character know, this kind of world-building and characterization is the GM's job, not a player's; a player only dictates their OC. Don't forget that if Suda threatened to blow up a solar rail or relay then there would be ramifications. The other syndicates wouldn't take kindly to that, I believe. Not to mention that if the Lotus were to bow to Suda's demands, which as Snale mentioned is very out of character for Suda since she abhors violence, the other syndicates would see it as that they could make similar threats and the Lotus should give in to their demands. None of the Syndicates have any presence on the Manifold as far as I am concerned, especially not in the command structure.
