A founder is a person who supported the early stages of development of the game and for their early financial investment we were given some gear and a few extras as a perk. Founder's programs exist in many games that have released in the past 2-3 years which again all offer some perks in return for the early support all within alpha/closed beta stages of games. Not sure exactly what that entailed for Warframe specifically, but usually it means buying the game during alpha (or even pre-alpha) stages and helping the developers to fund the game. Founders Packs are usually an extra incentive for gamers to buy the game early and add extra items into the game for those players only. In this case the Excalibur Prime was one of those extra items. Except that you can only get it from Prime Access, and no where else. Excalibur Prime along with Skana Prime and the Lato Prime were in the Founder's Exclusive Access package, that will no longer be available. But, not to come off as too harsh, The Founders Program [Like many other founder-like programs] run a limited time, and ends on a certain date.
