AdunSaveMe
Most weapons leave a faint trail when they slash, but with reach mods equipped (especially prime reach) it can be hard to see your total weapon range or even tell the difference. So I propose that weapons with extended reach leave a faint trail on slash at their full distance, not just at the edge of the model. Both for looks and for actual visual feedback. Yeah or maybe you have some sort of ethereal blade (like radial javelins) extension appear at the end of your blade when you swing. It'd be handy if it appeared in the weapon menu when modding too. Unless that's what you're already suggesting. Either way, something would be nice.
Kainosh
Whips - Just increase whip length (talking about flexible part). Gauntlets - with every attack these make you dash forward slightly (every weapon do). Mod should increase dash range (Gauntlets are very short range ...this will not hurt ) Polearms, bo type - when equipped these should just look longer (Handle isnt hard to "extend" a little). Or maybe these should "stretch" when we swing them (similar to how Amphis collapse to perform Forest W combo) BUT! Energy extention idea is also good. Such stuff used in many games (DmC Eryx weapon uses this for charged attacks....S4 countersword uppercuts...Cant remember better examples)
Llyssa
It's noteworthy that the polearms actually extend out from their size on your back when drawn. Not only do they increase in scale, but they also have parts specified to apparently "telescope out" when extending. Perhaps all melee weapons should do this to match reach--scale slightly and, if applicable, telescope out when drawn to depict exactly how much extra range has been achieved. I will note, the "energy symbolism" idea could be easier to apply--just do scaling to the "damage" part of a weapon, as a ghosted(similar to what scanning targets look like) energy shell showing the full range of the weapon when swung. Regardless, seeing the exact range of your melee weapon would be extremely helpful.

Having each weapon made to extend to show range sounds like a lot of work. Energy would be easier to see anyway.
